If you have a humidifier attached to your furnace, check the filter! Even if you don't use the humidifier if there is an old filter still there it attracts moisture and emits a foul odor in your HVAC and through out your house! I was living this nightmare for a long time not knowing that was the cause! I thought it was a dishwasher leak and fogged with concrobium. Then a bad mattress I threw out. Still couldn't get rid of the odor. Then I heard of Dirty Sock Syndrome r/t HVAC and finally, Brandon from Seider found the culprit and fixed my house! I'm so grateful!
The condensate drip line is missing a P-trap . The p-trap prevents back airflow on the drip line. That airflow splatters water trying to drip out back into the return & coils. This is probably the cause of all the water in the return and eventual mold growth.
He cleaned up the mold but did he fix the problem. If the unit still has a leak the mold will grow again. He only treated the wood beneath the HVAC what about the vents throughout the house. 🤔🤔🤔
My wife has asthma so she is extremely sensitive to mold. One of the reasons we moved from our old apartments was allergens but it's gotten much worse since we move to the new place. They're old apartments and the ducts have insulation on the inside that is no longer yellow as it used to be. It is black mostly with many other colors than the yellow insulation seen only at the farthest duct points from the central unit. We do not have renters insurance and I'm pretty sure the apartment managers won't do anything, especially extremely expensive duct replacement or cleaning. Any advice? My wife is miserable and coughing all the time. I'm normally no where near as sensitive to mold as my wife and I'm having a lot of problems. Irritated sinuses all the time. Sore throat. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Multiple toxic mold symptoms from both of us. We moved here because it's more affordable for us than the newer apartments. Do we have any legal rights to demand they do something like cleaning or moving us to a better unit?
HEPA air purifiers. I use the holmes desktop brand. Because I have pets, I have one in my bedroom and one in the living room. I also get high quality air filters for the ac unit and change them every three months, but you might need to change your monthly.
Good video, not sure you showed all steps, like cleaning the A/C coils, ducts, vents etc... As well of performing a Post Remediation air test, just to be sure your airscrubber "only one" remove all the mold spores in the air...
I’m doing it now. The main thing is (IMO): Get/wear an N95 mask, spray affected areas with an anti microbial(hydrogen peroxide or vinegar or Mold Control or Mold Armor or Lysol Mold cleaner, etc.), scrape a or scrub mold off with moist microfiber cloth, after dry spray surfaces with a long lasting anti microbial like Sporacidin or paint with mold killing primer. You can get these materials at Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart or online.
@coolramone You can scrape it but isn’t the idea that mold will spread and release toxins which is why professionals do this stuff in suits and isolated areas so all the toxins are costumes and not spread in the air
Kind of silly they are wearing C19 cloth masks when there is visible black mold which is posing a real life respiratory hazard that requires a P100 or N95
@@lt8710 list the things they done wrong. The only thing I can think of was that they didn’t remove the plywood with the mold and the drywall on the other side
I had my apartments ducts cleaned. They sprayed in each vent some white color spray stating that that was for the mold. Is that supposed to be the color white? To me it seemed like they sprayed painted it.
Surprised no one answered but ask your landlord to do a mold test. If he/she refuses then just hire a mold inspector yourself and have them provide you with the lab results and proper paperwork. If your landlord refuses to do a mold remediation then you have the proper paperwork in place to fight getting out of your lease or for him/her to do the remediation.
Twins are the best rat 🐀 guys in America 🇺🇸 no bullshite or ripping you off because once you get the twins in ur house you won’t have rats 🐀 again pure class from the twins love from Liverpool Great Britain 🇬🇧
I need you guys. Can you come to Albany GA. This 1948 house I purchased in 2020...I was not present during inspection...2 years in and I've been sick for over a year..Never had allergies in my life..Currently going up north for Doctors appointments.. Help! If you can.. Come to find out the seller of house is in real estate..My real estate person never told me that or looked after my welfare..And now my health is seriously compromised..
IICRC s500 requires removing any drywall that has been effected by mold. The drywall should have been pulled. You went straight to a stain remover, with no peroxide first.... this is sad,,,, easy way to make someone sick....
Yes, your point is right on point in a perfect world .there are so many cases that drywall is not needed to be removed. We have performed thousands of mold remediation jobs with 3rd party testing and cleared. Many situations dew point mold is the cause of moisture source, we believe as long as we dry down the substrates mold is gone: we are licensed plumbers, there is so many things that are code, but we don’t follow because it’s not the right thing to do. Thanks for sharing here.
I love how passionate and how much u guys care about taking care of the problem. Very rare these days. All others care about is getting paid and not working decently Love your vids
To tell you the truth, the first company would've done the right thing! Rip everything out! No chemical will kill the mold completely. They don't even wear the right ppe! Abd the scrubber? Negative air pressure should've been established, which means clean air should've been going outside and "just air" air should've been being sucked in to the apartment! I really feel bad for the owners. They took the easy way out.
❤100 times wetter than water😮😂 So, nothing is inherently "wetter" than water itself. Other substances might feel wet, but that sensation is usually due to their interaction with water or the moisture they contain. “Wetter” is an imprecise, unscientific term.
What did you do with the dust and mold in each supply line? I think you sold them a false book of goods. You only cleaned out the return plenum! Mold spores disburse from the source and you didn’t even check the supply trunk, feeder branch or remove the supply diffuser. Jeez man. For for all-(1) stop source moisture (2) clean the food (dust) from the ducts, return, diffuser, and e-coil. Apply anti-microbial only if you cannot clean all areas of ducts which is common.
Is something in or near Detroit Michigan that does that. Cleanses the air ❓ The senior apartment building I live in has tenants that aren't cared for , or should I say TIDY 🚿🛁😞🥺😥 Where can we get something like that. Or something similar ❓❓✌️🙏🏻
Why wasn’t the plywood and the rest of the sheet rock removed after you cut out the initial sheetrock inside the door of the HVAC door?

Where can I buy this agent to remove mold?
Kind of silly they are wearing C19 cloth masks when there is visible black mold which is posing a real life respiratory hazard that requires a P100 or N95
There are so many things wrong with this company. I wonder if the owners called back the first company with apologies. Sad.
@@lt8710 list the things they done wrong. The only thing I can think of was that they didn’t remove the plywood with the mold and the drywall on the other side
Peace of mind.
Thanks for the advice to ask for a certificate that will hold the company liable for their work.
Where can I buy the Pure Cleanse ?
Seattle needs you
Question. How do you know if mold is in the house and how do you find where ?
Wish you guys were at my country, need some cleaning of that type
This was an extremely helpful and thorough video. Thank you!

They didn't clean the coils or remove the contaminated insulation
Great job in explaining! Thanks.
Nice job guys!
Whenever you find bottles/cans in walls.... aren't those assumed to have been filled with urine the drywaller left behind?
it's what cause the mold in the 1st place

What is the best mold Inhibitor solution to buy?
Mix one cup borax with one gallon water spray on and let dry
That solution cleans out Cenobites too😂
Was really helpful
Thanks again Stephen.

This is some good work maybe people don’t have an issue with the mold yet but it can become a serious issue.
They broke all the rules! Their ppe is a joke, scrubber with no duct going outside, abd the chemicals? Total joke!
TWINS WHEN ARE YOU GOUNG TO RESTOCK THIS STUFF. Can’t keep watching these videos if I can buy it 😭
Where can I find that puck?

CL02 gas is a great deodorizer but i doesn’t remove mold.....
Wetter than water?
You mean it binds to micron particulates better than water can?
Wetness is just wetness.
“We are going to begin our electrostatic fogging” and then you break out a ULV foggier. NOT the same thing.
