That's my best friend right there. The builder has ruined her and her family lives. My poor BFF has been calling me for the past 2 years in tears hyperventilating about that house. She has been thru a lot, she is a cancer survivor, she lost a 5 month pregnancy with twins a few years ago. That house was suppose to be a new fresh start for her and her family and it turned into their worst nightmare. SHAME SHAME on the builder for giving her a toxic bad new house.
I hope that family gets the compensation they deserve. Tell her to take this story to the local news stations. I am interested how this plays out. We need a part #2

Excellent piece of investigation and no surprise the builder's paid for a report that didn't find anything. They knew the problem and tried to cover it up. Hope the family is successful in suing them for compensation.

Fascinating episode. The Twins really know their stuff and are so thorough. Ive been screwed over by builders in the past - they shut up shop and left the state. The way homes are thrown together in the US is a disgrace. And even when you buy pre-owned, the Home Inspectors dont do a proper job.
PL 400 is the best construction adhesive don’t know the VOC in it, normally never glueing a double layer of floor together, I take it they didn’t put the joints over the joists. I can see where the glue would take a long time to dry in a sandwich and off gas. I don’t see a solution other than tearing the whole second floor down and rebuilding. Maybe take the whole ceiling out of the first floor and let it air out and spray kilz on it, pull carpet and flooring out of second floor air out and spray also. They put these houses together so fast they trapped the odors in
Awesome. We have almost the same issue. Strong smell in the house but stronger in the garage where the attic access hatch is. Smell seems to coming from the attic where I think it is coming from mold.

All professionals should apply your attitude and ethics to whatever they do. PS the dog handler might think about getting another dog lol God bless you and your team
I live in subsidized housing. I've had the smell of sewage coming from my sink since I moved in eight years ago. Maintenance claims it is because of the pipes, and there is nothing that can be done. It's embarrassing to have guests in my apartment because of the smell.

What u see in new builds/flipped homes would make u run far from purchasing homes. The banks don't care, the builders already moved to another house/project, good luck getting anywhere with third party companies/contractors used in the build, always always get a lawyer when buying a home run as many personal tests as u can. The twins should make a second channel for stuff like this, it really helps homeowners understand what could be wrong with their homes.

Again I have been saying this since you started your YT channel it all comes down to Shoddy Workmanship and the Builder or Construction Company knew this was going to be a HUGE PROBLEM but they did it anyway just to SAVE MONEY just like the rest of the Toilet Dung Company are out there .. Now the Homeowner is stuck with a half of a million dollar home.. Should the homeowner just tear down the instructing home or Should he Rebuild ?????? My advice is to buy a 1950s or 1960s house that needs to breathe .. Put it this way a well sealed home if you Farted in a bedroom you would smell your same fart smell in about 5 minutes in the living room BTW That is no Joke .. Just a little Rant love to say more ... Is a crazy story that I was just laying in my bed and all of a sudden, I wake up to hear a slight crack then I look up to see a crack forming on my ceiling I jumped, hurried up, put valuable items underneath my bed to be protected, then boom the whole ceiling fell with electrical wires ripped which could cause a fire at that moment I could’ve been dead if I was in a deep sleep then I was wondering what caused that to happen. We had no leaks. No infestation might have been a construction problem. after what happened I would really wanna work with you guys to prevent any problem with this happening in my home
Does anyone know which exterior wireless cameras the twins recommend for exterior observation of a house? During rodent exclusions it’s nice to set up cameras to make sure that you aren’t over looking a rodent access points. Just curious which wireless camera the twins use.
Wow! That's insane! Yeah, I think the builders who build that house was probably not installed the subfloor correctly instead they probably could had used excessive amount of adhesive under the subfloor and I also noticed you pointed out the screws down the floor. I was so confused looking at that. I have no words for that...thank you for sharing the info! I do not really trust any kind of builders. To be honest, I'd just build my own house on my own...
What I noticed most about this week's video was ... almost no funny stuff or hijinks with the crew (just pull-ups)... and zero funny movie clips cut in ... It kind of sends home to me that Dave was really BUGGERED about these odor situations, to the point where Dave says he couldn't sleep for 2 straight nights on the road. I so wish you could make a trip to Maryland. We have had an intermittent sewer smell in our home for 16 years. No one can find the source. I KNOW you would !! You can even stay in our spare bedroom if you wanted lol. We just need help.
I might be dumb but I’m missing on what actually caused the first guys sewer smell. He said he never smelt it before until recently, did something break? Why did they have to be so much stuff done to fix whatever broke?
There was an opened sewer pipe behind the refrigerator, we fixed it, but when we did another smoke test. We got a bit of smoke coming up from the floor back into the wall we opened, which revealed another slight opening down stream. So that why you saw us opening more walls to attempt to gain access.
You plumbers that talk crap have nothing to back your trash talk! We have thousands of videos that back up our work. That’s why most of you are NOT and never will be successful. Good luck to you.
Anyone heard the story of the rich, cheating husband in Florida that wanted to divorce his wife and leave her penniless for his mistress. The story is about 20 years old now. Long story short, during the messy divorce, husband forced his wife out of the marital home and later moved in the mistress. The two were happy in the home, but there was a strange, horrible odor that worsened by the day and no one could find the source. The husband hired cleaners etc to clean the house from top to bottom, but the smell remained. He finally gave up the fight and decided he didn't want the house. Ex Wife "begrudgingly" accepts the house, moves back in and the odor disappears.🤔 Comes to find out Wife put fresh shrimp in the curtain rods before being kicked out 😂😂😂 The house had very high vaulted ceilings. The husband and mistress replaced the curtains, but never the curtain rods coz there were expensive and overlooked as the likely source. 😂😂 Wife was playing chess while husband and mistress thought Wife was playing checkers... 😂😂 #checkmate
