Totally. Caught me by surprise.

Awesome! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi do you service Las Vegas Nevada by any chance? If not can you recommend anybody else here. Thank you great attitude

Makes me wish I lived in St. Louis just so I could hire and meet this guy.
Swing on by anytime!
I’m thinking about moving there just so we can get my air ducts cleaned by this guy.
Me too! Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Thank you for who and what you do!! Blessings to you!!
I know where I’m moving to next
Love it. This guys is great! I’ve worked 15 years in the field as a residential HVAC installer/technician and I can tell you flat out that almost all offers to clean your ducts are useless and ineffective unless they do what this guy is doing.
Thanks for swinging by with that awesome endorsement, Roman!
BUT IF THATS THE OMLY MACHINE AVALIABLE......HOW YOU SUPPOSE TO GET IT DONE THE RIGHT WAY?
Dude: You made your point!. I live in Texas and was going to hire somebody off of Facebook marketplace but I know better now. Will do my research. Thanks for this info!.
Definitely be careful with that. A lot of those people are over sea and then sell the job to the cheapest company in your area.
Definitely make sure the company you hire uses the push/pull method which is what you see here. Ask them if they use brushes or whips. Whips is what you want. They dont have to have a truck mounted vac but hopefully the portable one they use has high enough CFM to actually clean your ducts. Also the cost should be at least $350-$500 for a standard family home. If you see a lower advertised price, they arent even making enough to operate and they will most likely not be using the proper equipment or they will be upselling you up the wazoo and your end price will be 2x or more what it should be
@@austinhodgkinson6001 how much CFM should the vacuum have? How o find that they are saying the right number? I am so glad I saw your comment, it has to the point things to look and ask. Now I feel like I am an expert!😂 I am glad you clarified that the vacuum doesn’t have to be a truck mounted, bc I thought it had to! Your comment was a ice in the cake! I really need my a/c and vents to be cleaned!!!

Last time i had a company over to clean my ducts, the estimate guy tried to convince me that I needed a radon fan installed ASAP.
He had no testing equipment at all.
When i asked him, he said that he could SMELL it.
(You cant smell radon gas)
By the end of his visit, the quote was massive.
Needless to say, they did not get a call back after.
Some people have no conscience.
What device is used to measure the air quality within 10 minutes? I’m highly eager to purchase one if available!
Why did you not show the small portable red vacuum unit....it works amazingly, plus the cost is very low compared to the unit in the truck
Retired General Contractor, HVAC, Mold, etc... He is exactly right, all other methods of cleaning ducts are total BS, easily provable by having an air quality test done before and after. Additionally, you have no idea how much damage those brushes can do to older ducts, and holes in your ducts are the biggest issue with air quality in the first place. If your ducts are so bad you need to beat them with a brush, you are better off just replacing them.

Hi in your opinion does stanley steemer good to use for duct cleaning
Yes, the one in our area does
This video was more riveting than most films I’ve seen.
Great! Thanks for stopping by!
Do you clean the ducts before or after the furnance?
Both
If you pay someone to do this , buy yourself a lighted bore scope camera and look at the ductwork before and after. You can get one for under $100 .
Most of these people are crooks.
I got a 50 foot 10 mm borescope off ebay 20 bucks . It is fine for looking at Pistons and in Pipe USB port and use a laptop .
That's why I haven't had it done yet. I see these fly by night posters on FB advertising then they're gone in a few weeks.

Absolutely electric video, do you have any suggestions for duct cleaners in the Pittsburgh area?
I have to ask want does the large power vac pull? I have 22 years working with a truck mounted powervac. My grandfather is Harold from Harold's Powervac in Walla Walla WA. You guys at Hyper really warms my heart to see someone in the industry putting out some real knowledge and truth about how this process is productive. Not productive. Or counter productive by them sending rotary whips to tear apart your flex duct. Well done!
what parameters/variables does your air quality meter check?
I got mine cleaned about 6 years ago, I’m in Metro Detroit and found the company I used at a home show. They used a truck mounted unit , not sure how it compares to yours, but when they were pulling vacuum, I could feel the airflow through the vents, and I even saw bits of insulation coming out of the attic! 😅 (I had made the mistake of having my attic insulation the day before 😅🤦🏽♂️)
They even sent before & after pictures.
So hopefully it compares well to what your company has.
@@peacefrog0521 sounds like they did an excellent job! What was the name of the company?

I don’t know what you’re talking about
If you are out of work because of the covid and are a DIY - how would you suggest someone themselves to try and clean their own ducts and do a pretty good job?
This is a great video! But just wanted to clarify that some portable vac machines can do just as good a job as a truck mount. That portable one he demonstrated looks old, probably doesnt have clean filters, and could just be low cfm to begin with. I dont recognize the exact model to know that for sure
It’s an aircare model

Great video!! I just had my ducts cleaned yesterday. There's a bunch of dust and lint all over the place in the basement near the furnace area. The guy told me the dust was from existing dust on top of the ducts in that area that vibrated off. Is this normal???
Yes, that’s pretty normal, we always warn customers about that before we start
I'm selling up and moving to St.Louis just to use your company. BTW, did you know your father was really Dom DeLuise? :)
Haha!
I have fine talcum-powder-like dust in my ducts. It's cat litter dust, as I made the mistake of putting litter boxes in the same room as my return air. Every time a cat scratched in the box or I cleaned the box, litter dust was released into the air and sucked into the system. Six years ago, I put my litter boxes on the screen porch and installed a cat door so the cats always have access. But that litter dust is _still_ in the ducts and _still_ gets blown all over the house, especially in dry or windy weather or when atmospheric pressure changes. Whatever is not airborne, forms a dirty film on counter tops, furniture, floors that must be wiped with a damp cloth. Blowing or vacuuming does not get it off. Any advice? Should I just get my ducts replaced?
Get them cleaned!
5:23 makes me wanna start an air duct cleaning business 😂 great presentation bro!
Thanks!
Who are we suppose to pick if we live in north GA? 😟
I work for a nationally known air duct company i will say that the video makes some really good points but lacks explaining on how it all works waving vacs and brush's around and just saying this don't do anything is not explaining why yes air whips are the best way to clean a duct but there is more than one kind of whip and you can't use certain ones in certain ducts like duct board it will tear it up and was wrong about the Electric negative air machines they make much bigger ones that are as good as a gas powered one we use them in the factory's we clean . that said i won't give a thumbs down on the video
Portables have come a long way. When you have to run a hose 100 plus feet to the house and through the house sometimes those portables are a better option in my opinion. Plus he has an outdated air care model that’s not even available anymore.
So what happens when you do a commercial building with elevators? Or stairs? You run that same unit through the entire building? Yeah bs
Hi, how often should we get the dryer duct cleaned?

You are the savior of real duct cleaning for this video!!! Worked for a real company before becoming a HVAC tech!!! And that is the only way!!
At 2.24 🤣🤣
Thank you sir!
Duct cleaning is the least of your worries. The main culprit is where the dust & crap you see in the air is coming from. It's probably a combination of things. 1. Leaks at the blower, return, filter return leakage side of the blower. 2 leaks that are sucking dirty air from the ducts side. 3. The inner insulation of the plenum box that your duct lines are branching off from. This is the latest of issues I have recently found after replacing some flex ducts that where deteriorated due to age. You can feel the inner insulation when you take off the collar & feel the inner portion of your plenum box. The color of the fibers are the same as the fibers you will find at the boot of your registers screws where your air enters thru to your rooms you are conditioning. I I have yet to see any reference of this anywhere as of yet.
Thanks for watching!

Yeah, would have been nice to see an actual demonstration of a cleaning. Maybe a plexiglass duct filled with what you would normally find in an air duct. Then show how well each method works. Because I never really got a good idea of how their system even works. I'm guessing that they do the exact same thing as everyone else with the spinning brush. Then they send the air whip in to blow out whatever is left? Do other companies not do that part? What exactly is different other than a fancy van and more suction which may or may not matter?

Thank you for educating me on what to look out for when having your air ducts cleaned. Can you recommend a reputable company in south jersey area? I’ve had Stanley Steamer do an estimate and the person only took a picture of the air vent. No air quality test was done. After receiving the quote I asked if you would be able to see the camera show debris. He said they do not use cameras because NADCA prohibits their use siting cross contamination in houses. My question was do you sterilize or couldn’t you use plastic coverings like those used at medical facilities? He danced around the question with a repeat.
Glad we could help!
Not gonna lie.. this is how to promote 😂😂😂

Is air duct cleaning recommended for all types of ducts? When we had a new AC put in we were thinking of getting the air ducts cleaned. The AC guy said we shouldn’t because we don’t have metal ducts but ducts more like the one on a dryer which can be damaged by the cleaning process. What is recommended for those types of vents? Thanks
Yes, definitely clean those flex ducts
talking bad about other companies and the machines they use makes yourself seem desperate for business. at the end of day customers want to decide which company is good or bad. they dont want you deciding for them. when you go in cadillac they dont talk bad about lincoln cars engines etc. and lincoln doesnt talk bad about Cadillac and if they did it would seem weird like what you’re doing. Also, you can have the strongest truck mount blah blah and still do a crappy job.
Thanks for watching my video 😊
You are so hyper and hilarious I really get a kick out of you. Good information thank you.
@hyperstl : How much would it cost to clean the air ducts with 21 vents and dryer vent for a 3000 sqft , 2 storey house ?

How do I find a service like yours in my area? What questions should I ask to make an informed decision? Also, I am inquiring for an older lady who has 30 plus years of smoke (tar) in her ducts that has penetrated every area of her condo.

That first negative pressure machine was broken I do commercial duct cleaning and we use push around negative pressure machines all the time. As long as you keep it clean and change filters it will not lose suction.
It was clearly not broken. The only thing broken is your eyes 😂
Do the whips blow air out? How does the debris get sucked back into the truck through that large hose?
yes
what particle tester do you use? or recommend?
It work with fiberglass ducts?
Do you do work in Vicksburg Ms? We suffer from allergies and eczema. I have NEVER had the air ducts cleaned before.

The HEPA you tossed aside does the best job. Too much suction can cause collapse and the airflow simply assists with forward and reverse sweeping all to the plenum.
