I can't believe this game came out in 1998 looks a good few years ahead of its time. The sound effects are so nostalgic used to just blow everything up with dynamite as a kid.
I swear I broke our computer with the game. Even months after the speakers would make the distinct 'brick selected' sound when not even playing the game.
I remember when I was 8 or 9 getting this game on a CD included as a freebie inside a cereal box (back when getting prizes in cereal boxes was a thing)! Played it on my family's Aptiva Windows 98 PC. I used to always use stupid amounts of the dynamite blocks while playing, and then the PC *struggling* to, frame by hilariously-slow frame, rendering the explosion sequences and hearing the distinct sound effect of Lego pieces raining down everywhere during. God, what a trip down memory lane. Thank you for sharing this!
I cannot believe this game was made in 1998! I remember playing it when I was a kid in the 2000s and I was astonished how much you could do in it! Destructible environments, desctructible vehicles, flying destructible vehicles, and even creating your OWN vehicles! In my mind, this game made an even bigger impressions that Garry's Mod!
Holy nostalgia overload! I remember this game. At around 3:52 I used to think that button or whatever it is was a weird face with glasses or something haha. Man.
Tell me about! I just remember this game, realized I still have the CD. Was miles ahead of anything else at the time. And the fact that it still works on Windows 10, WITH HARDWARE RENDERING on modern hardware? That's insane! And to think just 2 years later in 2000 they were giving it away in cereal boxes. They really outdid themselves with this game.
They almost did, Blockland was about to be bought by LEGO in 2004, but they backed out. Blockland/Brickadia still exist as the best LEGO games out there, though they are unofficial because LEGO doesn't know what the fuck to do with a brand where you can build dicks out of blocks. I genuinely think they're concerned with simple PR even though realistically no one gives a fucking shit in hell.
Yeah. They totally had a chance to do it with the Epic Games deal, but instead they made a LEGO Minecraft Survival Mode called LEGO Fortnite when they promised LEGO Roblox.
I loved this game so much. I remember you could attach an antenna to anything and directly control it. In retrospect I'm kinda blown away by how much is in this that I took for granted as a kid.
This and Lego Island were the first games I ever played on PC. Whenever i saw 'Install Wizard' on a new game, I always thought it was this Wizard installing my game :D
Played this alot as a kid in early 2000s and i remember how i blew everything up. This is the game you play when you had stingy and poor parents who didnt want to buy a box of LEGO and had the bricks spread across the house, but still I had a fun experience with this. Had no idea this was made in 98
I remember a bug in the game where you would place pieces down (dynamite specifically, from what I can recall) and they would suddenly start sliding off the map lol
I looked this up just to see if this old game ran any better on modern machines. I remember running this game way back in the day on a computer that likely didn't have a dedicated graphics processor, so it just tried its darndest to render the dumb things I'd do, like tons of explosions.
I remember being 4 or 5 and rented this game from the library and playing it for like 10 minutes and being a 4 year old I was like this game sucks and clicked the leave game button, years later I realized this game was ancient
I got an error when trying to launch the game it stated "windows nt not supported" I tried running it in compatibility mode as well, but no luck if any one could help i would appreciate it.
I played this on my aunt's PC before I had a computer; looking back at it the PC they had was absurdly underpowered & hardly ran it (it ran at some absurd 10FPS or something)
The arrow keys or W,A,S,D keys should control any land vehicle(I forgot the default mapping). It just doesn't function properly if compatibility mode isn't available as seen here where you see me moving my mouse just to control the vehicle via keyboard

lol I remember playing this as a kid, stack about 6000 of those dynamite bricks up and watch the computer crashing lag sound and explosion xD
I spent days playing this game at 1 or .5 fps. I would just stare at the screen waiting for the next frame to load
Same duude xD
I swear I broke our computer with the game. Even months after the speakers would make the distinct 'brick selected' sound when not even playing the game.
@@ordelian7795 i know i used to play PC game in Trinidad 🇹🇹 I believe it was a KFC one but can’t seem to look for it
omg same. Sometimes I would try not to put too many bricks in the world to fail miserably and make my pc run the game at 0,0001 fps lol
I remember playing this back when I was 5.
I played this when I was like 3
you can go on the internet when you were 5?
@@thecomputerbros8873 No internet was needed for this game, just the disc!
@@polyhex God, I feel old knowing people today don't know you used to have to physically go to the store to get games and movies.
I spent way too much time watching vehicles explode at 1 or .5fps as a kid in this game

Surprised LEGO never released any newer games like this.

I think you'll like Brick Rigs
Check out Lego Creator: Harry Potter, and Kingdom something, same game but almost like an expansion pack or DLC
@@Praetorian8814 thanks for recommendation

Nostalgia in a nutshell
I played this game along with FIFA 2002 and Need For Speed Underground 2 when I was 4-5 years old
Got exactly the same game set :)
Dear lord the memories.
Oh my god. This, Rock Raiders, lego island and legoland. The only thing I knew a PC was useful for when I was young.
Rock Raiders!!
Legoland fuck yeah, my introduction into simulation games as well as The Sims.
I played this on our old dell desktop on a 480p monitor up until 2010. I didn't think it was this old.
Same
I loved this game so much. I remember you could attach an antenna to anything and directly control it. In retrospect I'm kinda blown away by how much is in this that I took for granted as a kid.
Oh my god. I was like 7 years old playing this. I am 22 now.
Typing commentary into notepad for the video is even more nostalgic to me than this game
I had to check when the video came out! I was expecting to see 2010 on there rather than 6 years ago!
God damn, i found it!! This was one of the games i vaguely remembered playing as a kid!! I cant believe i randomly stumbled upon this video, thanks!
so many memories come to mind....
Wot? I didn't know that! time to re live some fond childhood memories!
the wizard doesn't sound the same as I remember
wait, it doesn't ask you if you truly want to leave?
how i wish they make a win10 version with updated graphics and able to download official sets so we can simulate the environment.
This and Lego Island were the first games I ever played on PC. Whenever i saw 'Install Wizard' on a new game, I always thought it was this Wizard installing my game :D
OMG THE NOSTALGIA
My Childhood !
The classic intro was my favorite part.
That and the cute wizard.

Best Lego game ever: Change my mind.
Kaspikey Lego Island 2
@@geekmac9349 Wait, that was a Lego game?
It’s my favourite one. I loved Lego Island but the creative freedom in Lego Creator was much more my jam as a kid.
I loved this game. I used to always crash the helicopter. Best little gift I got out of a cereal box.
This brings back some many memories
Good god all the sound effects are coming back to me
I got this game from one of the General Mills cereal boxes back in the day.
I remember a bug in the game where you would place pieces down (dynamite specifically, from what I can recall) and they would suddenly start sliding off the map lol
7:04 now THATs a magic! If you do that! You can finally Hear Sounds in the game
good times. still have the original CD here from Lego Creator
Very cool!
my favourite lego game ever
Still better than roblox studio :v
GIVE MR.CEJOTA:D A MEDAL!! This opinion is a fact to me.
The Roblox Studio BEFORE the Roblox Studio!

Always thought the Wizard character in this game had a strange voice, reminds me of film critic Leonard Maltin.
I remember this game! Thanks!
I remember this game! I would love to have the models of all the Lego pieces to render my own stuff
its based on real legos

Worth sharing your hardware specifications at the time please and ty
I got an error when trying to launch the game it stated "windows nt not supported" I tried running it in compatibility mode as well, but no luck if any one could help i would appreciate it.
It think it only works in old Windows systems
How were you able to run it? People have issues trying to run it on windows 10, unless an update made something difficult.
2:02 aww
Still better than minecraft
RUclipsr 1 no
Agreed. And fortnite as well
f yeah man
RUclipsr 1 I loved this game as a little kid but you couldn't be more wrong.

Still better than Lego Worlds.....
The OG Minecraft
