Rocky is such a lil champ. I’m glad we got to hear about his health after some developments and choices were made which provided a more healthy and informative update and not one followed by panic and questions. I’m wishing him a great recovery and the best for your sanity in these chaotic times. For now, his quality of life seems great and is enjoying life and that’s all you can hope for (aside from less medical fees holy fuck I still remember vet bills from when I lived in SD)
My late chonk Cricket had nasal cancer with complications of chronic rhinitis. We decided not to go with radiation (our only cancer fighting option) and instead went with palative care. That care included prednisone and cerena along with slippery elm powder, and a special compounded antibiotic, anti pain meds and another antibiotic. He lived a total of 8 months when he was give 3-5. It was a rocky road but he had a fantastic quality of life until the cancer made it to the brain and caused sudden neuro issues. I'm so glad that you are allowing your kitty to walk his journey the way he wants to. Also, see if slippery elm would help your kitty.
I'm amazed. (But then, I'm always amazed when a cat's given a solid diagnosis, from all available info, and breezes through it still existing and happy.) So--good and bad but good news!
