Yeah, since i knew this fact now i call it buhanka, it's one of my favourite russian vehicles, i wish there was more console mods with addons for it
Sd1one are best Snowrunner youtuber. This is most reliable and authentic researching work in recognition of "east europarn" truck models of all youtube. Even Russian players often misidentify cars, unlike the channel's author, who lives far from Russia.
Its just a shame that other youtubers will rip his content and pass it off as there owen.
Go check this one: It´s Mr Lone Wolf, in my opinion he do the greatest in-depth analysis of the game mecanics and trucks. Alongside very funny jokes and anecdotes. Very entertaning and informative, he convinced me of trying a lot of trucks that didn´t appeal to me at first

For me, its painfull to see Russian trucks with US wheels and US body addons. Mudrunner was a lot better in this case.
Yeah hopefully modding can allow for different styled modules yet for what i have seen the van body looks really russian and familiar.
I think Step 310E is the only Russian with US wheels

Sry 4 my eng. Some info about "p8wd geolkom" Its handmade "Frankenstain" not serial, single. It have cabin from "paz-3205" russian bus. Wheel base from "gaz-66* called" shishiga", some parts from tracktors "dt-25", wheels from "T-150", engine from "Isuzu" and transmission from "Gaz-3308 Sadko".

I understand that the Azov 64131 is very similar to KAMAZ, but there is also a similar Ural-5323. It is more intended for the repair and evacuation of damaged military equipment. In General, after the transition of the Urals to cabs without a hood in life, it is now quite difficult to conduct a visual assessment. azov brand represent kamaz in game and similarity between them is remarkable but it can be mix of ural and kamaz both...who knows

В какой параллельной реальности Урал отказался от капотников? Лицензионная ивековская кабина, старая как говно мамонта, устанавливается очень ограниченно, спрос на нее на гражданке околонулевой. Та же армия его если и закупает, то только для инженерных частей, в качестве носителя понтонных мостов. В любой армии капотник дает сидящим в кабине шанс на выживание при подрыве мины или фугаса под передним колесом. Шишига не в счет - она изначально предназначалась для ВДВ, где во главу угла ставят вес, позволяющий десантирование с самолета (даже кабина в опытных образцах была с тентованным верхом для снижения массы). Старые КамАЗы (а-ля 5320) тоже не в счет - они не для переднего края предназначены были, но бывало что использовались так от безысходности. Новые КамАЗы - ну так там чистый распил, с забиванием на жизни солдат. Капотник в армии был, есть и будет всегда, и Урал, как основной поставщик среднетоннажной грузовой техники в армию, всегда будет выпускать их.

Some reason the older vehicles are always better. Shame they got replaced by cars that need to tap something to just break.

It’s a shame they didn’t put actual replica vehicles in this game, in the original spin tires we had vehicles that much closer resembled their real life counterparts. Also I think a lot of the real life trucks look a lot better

I think it's hard to get license from Eastern European manufacturers and this franchise is too big for taking such risks, I mean people sue you for silly things these days.
@@SD1ONE just most of russian in game trucks are build for military, so no one will give them license.
@@Arhange1790 Most of these trucks here are in civilian use. Also military but not specifically built for military.
Never knew they had Niva in the game, and the headlights, even though unusual, are actually pretty nice, as they resemble Fiat 125.

%Cityname% Automobilny Zavod. KrAZ - Krementchug. UAZ - Ulyanovsk, GAZ - Gorky, etc. Also, KamAZ and VAZ are exceptions, this factories are named rivers on which banks stand. Kama and Volga, respectively. Home of KamAZ is the Naberezhnye Chelny city, VAZ - Toliatti.

Great video. I only have one remark: Nowadays KrAZ is actually an Ukrainian company, not Russian (Although it was founded during the times of the Soviet Union). But besides that, keep up the good work ;-)

KrAZ made in USSR. Models KrAZ in the game are made in the USSR. Russia is the heir of the USSR.
I don't think he said it's a Russian company. It is said to be Russian region and KrAZ/MZKT/MAZ are used in Russia.
@@rebel1alt in snowrunner Taiga are modern KrAZ model, not soviet. Kolob/Volat even more so.

it is unfortunate how underpowered they made Tatarin and YAR, those 2 are amphibious in real life, it would be nice for snowrunner to have an amphibious scout
Having an amphibious vehicle would defeat the whole game of being challenging because the environment is supposed to be difficult to navigate and the rivers are supposed to be hard to get through , you have to find ways around the maps and look for areas where your bigger trucks won't get stuck or swamped by water , if the scout can get through the rivers then the trucks will be able to.
@@josephbennett3482 These are scouts so no issue of making the game too easy. Also being amphibious means they can traverse rivers very slowly.
Even the interior of those cars in game look exactly identical to real life ones. I can tell bcz I have learned how to drive on UAZ 469 when i was like 11.

One thing that bothers me about this game is the increased distance between the front and rear axles, I just don't understand why they did that, they could easily have maintained the original distance with the current chassi length. On most of the trucks it just looks ridiculus, even more so on the western trucks.

@@davidty2006 is it really a problem anymore? you can raise the drop axle up now when you don't need it. and seems to do pretty good from my experience with it so far.
Actually, Ural-4320 can have shorter hood. YaMZ-238 - long hood, other engines (like KamAZ-740 or YaMZ-236 or even ZiL-375 from previous model) - short hood. Reason - fire on KamAZ engines plant

Well, it's UAZ based offroadster, not a jeep. But a469 in Mudrunner looked like a jeep wrangler by a front grill.
The thing 90% of the vehicles lacks are their original counter part wheel and tires.

Tayga 6436 looks more like a Kraz 65032. There's overall no difference of anything than the 6437 in the cab, just the headlights fixed.
