- In snowrunner we have 36 different cargo types till date and each of these cargo types have different weight, In this video we'll find out which is heaviest cargo type both packed and unpacked.

Here're some known mistakes:
1) Cellulose cargo is 1 slot not 5 slot @3:48
2) Metal beams unpacked weight is 2000 not 1000 @6:08
I rechecked all the weights so they're now 100% correct but there could be other mistakes.

@SD1ONE how much cargo needs to be delivered to finish the game? What I mean is how many bricks is needed to complete the game and how many metal beams are needed to complete the game and etc... (could you do a video about this)
I feel like the sequoia should be much heavier

Lazy developing. Pretty much everything weighs 1 ton unpacked.
@@alexclarke6924 The weight value is literally 1 number in an xml file. I doubt laziness had anything to do with it.

Some were obvious but others really surprised me with their weight. Actual weight numbers should be added to the game as well as power/torque, because power/weight ratio doesn't tell whole truth about hauling capability of the truck.

me too i remember he had like 3k subsecribers and his pc was shit he was getting like 20 fps in the first spintires

I knew long logs were heavy, but I didn't think they were that heavy
Meanwhile the Sequoia is waaaay too light for it's size. When I first saw those giant logs I was preparing for a huge task only to realize they were made out of styrofoam.
@@feelsguy1032 yeah I went to pick it up with the crane and was expecting the crane to have a hard time but nope, didn't even need the stabilizers out.
@@feelsguy1032 cuz they would have to buff the cranes, that would require them to do more work.
Yes same, I was going to pick long log with our normal off-road truck 😂😂
For the plane, I packed the plane and placed the wings on top and pushed the Crane down to hold it in place as far as I could then repeated until I reached the destination. One time I did a full order on a 5 slot trailer and it was 2 to 3 floors of cargo in a single shot.
Fun fact, a b-25 bomber weighs 9.2 tones so the airplane fuselage in game is too heavy considering it doesn't have it's wings.

I quickly noticed long logs missions always take the longest, any truck struggles the most with long logs over any other cargo and kinda wondered why. Now it makes sense why, long logs are the heaviest packed.
4:00, one thing need to mention about these 3 plane parts, they can't be loaded on WS6900 or other low saddle flatbed trailers, even though they have enough slots for them.
And there is also a fun thing about this plane wing (may be the other one with engine, I forget), there is a special pack position, it will squirm on trailer like a larva after packed on that position. I am not sure if that's a bug or Easter egg, fixed or still there.

Its really weird that the sequoia is so Light. It kind of deafeats the purpose of it Being a “extreme cargo”.

I still kinda remember my previous/early SnowRunner experience... that requires me to transport a huge orange-tipped rocket with a long-flatbed Kamaz.
Then suddenly, I went back into nostalgia with a _'GLA SCUD Launcher'_ from _'C&C Generals Zero-Hour'_ 😅
It would be cool to see this redone, by ranking them by weight per unit of space they take up.
This videos was actuallly quite usefull and I'm suprised by some of the stats. And this is why it felt like everykind of cargo weights the same when I pick it up with a crane. And still weird that some of the 1 slot cargos weight as much as some 2 slot cargos, but I can pick them up with the small crane, while for 2 slot ones I need a bigger crane.
It might be because of the size of cargo....it's weight is spread across the volume of 2 slot cargo which makes it unbalance when picked up with small crane but still I don't think any cargo even the 4 slot one need big crane as you don't have to position it cargo bed with 100% accurate to make it pack....also small crane has that arm which can do small adjustments to cargo moving it a bit here and there to fit it on the cargo bed.

Yeah, most likely it's a weight distribution thing and I agree that the small crane is more usefull, but a lot of times when for example I tried to lift a metal beam with the small crane, because there were only two legs, my truck flipped, so I needed the big crane, but only because of the 4 leg support and that's why bigger range

Medium logs weigh a lot because if you load 12 logs into a regular flatbed trailer, then the P12 will not lift it up the hill, the Cat 745c was able to tighten it with a winch.
When I saw the thumbnail I was like “hey hey hey this means truck torture... I love it!!!”
Cool, weight has actual values. Nice to know. Didn't expect long logs to weigh more than a plane wreck, though.

Metal beams and concrete slabs are the bane of my existence. Word of caution: if you need to transport multiple units of those two cargos somewhere, USE TWO TRUCKS. Either once or twice, I tried taking a super heavy semi trailer full of 4 beams/slabs, and it was a miserable experience.
yah 8 slot trailer is not meant to be used without kolobs and even after that it tends to highcentre at its parking stand and just forget about using it with small trucks (by small I mean that didn't have enough chassis height to keep trailer from highcentre even on paved road with sudden down slope)
you need the kolob, it can do anything
@@claudiosecondini4085 Well, all it can do is pull heavy semi trailers. That's rather limited. That said, I have a Kolob, and it is pretty much unstoppable, but it's only useful for certain objectives. And I have not and will not try using the 8 slot trailer with it, because that trailer has failed me every single time, and I've pulled it with some pretty hefty trucks, like the Pacifics and the big Azovs. It's a problem with the trailer itself that makes it infuriating to use.
I guess the tayga is better than I thought, I pulled long logs and a voron ae with long logs that had no fuel, all the way across zimmnegorsk
Amazing video! I like it that you use different trucks and trailer everytime. One question: how can de sequoia tree be that light compared to medium and long logs?
In the end it's just a game and sometimes to make things work devs have to set some unrealistic parameters, but some people in comment section claims that sequoia is not as heavy as it's looks in real life.
@@SD1ONE but giant sequoias are listed as heaviest trees on earth and all other types of sequoia variants clutter the top spots, compared to other trees/woods.
Alright, so I'll use 2 concrete slabs and a concrete block for my semi flatbed pull testing now. Been using 5 cement because I figured it was heaviest.
I'm kinda suprised that the long logs were that high becaue I managed to haul it in Michigan with the Fleetstar

The cargo weight it is on Kg? Pounds?
And if I don't pack the cargo and carry it, I will be carrying less weight?
It's just a number mentioned in game files...but we can relate them in Kg I guess.

Steel roll weight is a joke. I have transported those in real life and it looks to me more like 3000-4000kg range. And plane wing is too heavy in the game.
So a BOX weighs as much as a whole SEQUOIA TREE makes sense right? That is so off the tree should weigh at least double than those boxes.
Sequoias are actually fairly non-dense, so it makes sense.
@@TimostrategytheMoth A single sequoia weighs 2700kg but I thought they are chunky dense trees apparently not.

I,M sure they forgot a zero... It would make sense compared to other 4 slots cargo at the end that are 10 000

I think I've seen that big cabin in Grainwoods river, somewhere up north, but it just stnds there and it's useless. Maybe in phase 4 it will get its uses.
also there's short logs but apparently there's no addon in the game yet to load them
@@SD1ONE Yup They are on a test map. In some version of PTS there was a logging addon for those short logs. It was later removed, but logs stayed.

Even though it feels differently to me when I drive, I must say that the concrete feels the heaviest right. Also kinda surprised with some places like the container and special cargo are different crago.... ok xd

I still don’t know why the plane which is a B-25 weighs 10 tons even though the aircraft only weighs 9,2 tons and it lost some parts and its wings and 1 engine

what is the order in terms of density? packed weight / slots used.

The disparity between the packed and unpacked weight of most things is frankly silly. I can vaguely understand why they might have done it, due to the need for large cranes to lift some of the heavier items, but also some of the packed weights are ridiculous. A wing of an airplane weights exactly the same as the same wing plus and engine? What does the engine weight nothing?
The logs shown are pine/similar, but they weight vastly more than a huge chunk of sequoia (a much denser wood)?
They are what they are, but the numbers bear little if any relation to reality.

Why is there such a big difference between packed and unpacked on some of these? Packing supplies and such shouldn't be that heavy.
How does something packed weigh 1.5 to 4 times more than the item itself when its unpacked? I look at it like the packing weighs more than the item itself. How does that work????
Little late for my comment here, but I'm fairly sure this is done so that cranes(especially the small loading cranes) can ACTUALLY pick them up

I left a bunch of secure containers just lying around the Russian map I don’t really know why or how to go about finding them all and cleaning them up or care to.
just download a OP mod and clear them out if thry really bothers you that much also you'll get to try mod itself in the process
