Yes notifications are their but can't view the videos. But this video was good.
Just wish cars could go back to the simplicity of the 90s era. Cars were less complicated and properly engineered to last a long time
True but.. There are plenty of low mileage cars around still. 😊
Todays cars has a lot bs
Absolutely!
How many have you driven?
Rev up your...European reliability from Japan.
Farina Marcina Accurate AF
You mean: Japanese reliability from Europe. If it were the way you said it, WW3 would probably happen.
Welcome To The Madness they rust to death, the starlet has a kid following giving some of the older ones a new lease of life.
Farina Marcina you're talking nonsense. In the UK they're driven by adults who prefer reliability over aesthetics.
Germany rules europe car market. My e46 is more comfortable and has more tech than 2008 Auris. 2 months ago I did test drive both. Maybe that Auris had issues cause it had bad plastic shaking sound. And japanese cars have cheap and bad meterials in interior. Big three from germany will dominate europe forever
Small body, potent engine, and a simple dashboard display-not some fake entertainment screen that robs you of storage spaces. This is the affordable car that should be offered for young people buying their first.
Also you die when you crash.
@@vanhakaveri population control
Broke boii life . Am I right.
This is a pretty cool car considering the features. My first car was a '90 Honda Civic 2 door almost exactly the same shape. It was fantastic in all way except for in a crash but that is hardly fair to compare 28 year old tech. There are pretty damn good cars in the subcompact space now though. A nice used Honda fit is what i have had for 5 years bought 4 years old or so. basically just an updated version of this. Small, super agile, good driving, sporty enough with manual trans, safer, easy to fix, cheap parts super reliable and actually amazing for a outdoor friendly vehicle. Its great in the snow with good tires and good enough to go up reasonable logging roads for camping and fishing. It's certainly no SUV but with some slower driving and careful maneuvering on the rocky stuff it will get there eventually. Since i don't put a ton of kms on it since we don't daily drive, it should last easy another 10+ years. Cost per year or km stupid low.
@@vanhakaveri probably not in the netherlands, i was working here for two years and there is a lot of small cars. They pay ridiculous taxes if they have bigger cars with bigger engines. Also it is a small country, so you have speed control quite often, again tickets are not so small, so rarely somebody is going fast, non highway roads are limited to 80km/h.
The young man did a great review of his car! Well done
He did. Looks like a Toyota Golf!
Thank you! 😁
Warms my heart to see good cars well taken of.
He´s from Netherlands, the entire country is full tiny old hatchbacks that have been very well looked after. It´s quite a nice sight
Ian Doherty - I am not surprised. The Dutch are irritatingly practical and reasonable.
When I watched some videos now I want to fully restore my families Toyota Corolla.
I like this guy, very well spoken
Seems he practiced with enthusiasm
Well.... I'm Dutch and I can hear his accent and normally we all laugh about it haha
best english from a dutch person i heard in years
Normaly we don’t sound brittain.
Dutch generally speaks English better and cleaner than most Muricans.
Rev up your EUROPEAN BULLETPROOF Made In Germany Toyota Corolla Hatchback!
Brilliant English, great vid
Better than US version
I don't think they built cars in Germany.
This guy would fit in well in the 80s. Duran Duran or Modern Talking.
More "ultravox" !!!.
You don't understand. Those times never left Europe. You can dress up, like it's still the 80s and nobody would notice. Because everybody else looks like that too. :D
@@Neanderthal75 ...I understand matey...I'm from "brum" and I've been in USA now for 16 yrs ...so believe me when I say "I understand"...I was that night crew, and still am !!!.
tears for fears type of a guy on a bullet proof ever reliable toyota hehehe
This AE92 looks waaay better than the new Corolla😍
😁 I loved those simple yet EXTREMELY reliable 1990s Toyota's.
@@felipep5581 - I think you're exaggerating a bit.
Hey yess.. still rockin my 1990 AE92 corolla JDM inspired 😁
@@JayeLeli wanna sell me it?
@@cocmaster4474 here in the Philippines there are still a lot of AE92 some of them reaches around 1.5 million PHP or 290,000 USD for the almost brandnew JDM inspired loaded with rare parts 😁
My corolla e90 1.8 d already has 742000 km and his health is very good.💪
Diesel Corolla sounds like a fantasy (since they don't male them anymore).
You,my Dutch friend, could work for autotop NL. In Ireland we had lots of corollas, some of which were diesel, and became taxis. Many had 500k plus miles. I often mentioned this to my boss when I was a taxi driver,as he preferred Peugeots
First very well edited video .
Luke Greenynexus i liked the acura legend guy too. Altek be his name
Reviewed all the quirks and features....now it's time for a

Wrong channel lol
Sure
That Toyota is in impeccable condition!
Almost feel like watching 90s top gear videos
An EU corolla? Alright, interesting. I don't often hear about these.
Haha. It's an EU model Corolla but it's still a Japanese car. Building a car in a different country doesn't mean it's a car of that country.
or you can say assembled in E.u ...
I have a liftback e90 european ofc i aint american
@@user-jx2xc9ex8f what does that have to do with being american??

Great video. Man that car is in great shape. Engine sounds beautiful
Thank you 😋

play some pet shop boys for him hehe
I missed it :/
Very good video. I have a Lexus LS 400 year 1996 with 403.000 km and still runs smooth. Hello from Spain, Europe.

I love that people love their cars....awesome vid of the Toyota Corolla.
Toyotas are reliable no matter where they were built. I have a Australian built 1991 AE92 with almost 300,000 kms on the clock. Still runs with no dramas.
The car looks new! Great job on the video!
Wow. This car is surprisingly well taken care of. No car over 10 years would be in this condition in the USA.
That old Corolla looks great! The young man did a very good job showing off his cool little car.
This Corolla can be legally imported into the United States of America.
Yep and it's better then the JDM models which are gaining popularity now
ATX-CVPI:
That particular flavor was widely available in the USA....they were all assembled in Fremont,California (not exactly cheap compared to a Tercel/other competitors of the time)......build quality is what you would expect of the UAW...not so great....but at least most of the running-gear/switch gear came from Japan.
I have the other odd-ball sibling....a 5 Speed 1991 All-Trac Corolla Wagon....used the exterior sheet-metal and wrap-around windshield of the Geo-Prizm/and of other Corolla versions sold outside the USA . A regular FWD Corolla Wagon used the same sheet-metal and windshield of the US Spec sedan. Fortunately for us North Americans, The FWD/All-Trac Wagons were all made in Japan.....none of the shitty cars/trucks qualities that came from the Toyota Plant in California.
And it will probably cost you a small fortune to import it....
The US as a country is just far too young. It, and the people inside need to mature and they are starting to. Remember, the country is only a few hundred years old compared to, for example, China which is a way, way older established country.
What's your point???
Fun fact, that bodystyle (I think it was called the FX bodystyle?) was used in Australia for a car called the Holden Nova. It was exactly the same as the Australia-spec Corolla from the time period (same engine, same interior, same styling) just with Holden badges on it.
Spot on! we got the Holden Nova, and pretty sure NZ got the FX
Oh what a day...what a lovely day...Very happy to see the mad max decal on your car ! Ride Eternal!
I love how all vehicle brands in the past had their own personality, they were unique.
❤️
Nice clean car, glad to see the original radio was kept with the car.
Very very neat Corolla. These cars are still very popular in South Africa and this is the cleanest Corolla I've ever seen so far. Well done man.
Love your 1990 Corolla as much as I love my 1991 Toyota Pickup! TOYOTA ROCKS! Scotty Kilmer for President of the Universe.
Super cool video, really enjoy the enthusiasm he had toward his Toyota Corolla, I feel the same way about my 96 Camry..
I enjoyed his older lens videography. Great production
4A-FE! That engine outlived my 1992 Corolla that had rusted out brake and fuel lines that would have cost too much to fix - thank you road salt. I remember that the Toyota-branded cassette deck also used to eat tapes fairly regularly.
I miss that car - it was so easy to check all fluids and change common parts like the oil filter and battery. Not like my Focus, where the battery is halfway under the dash.
What a stupid place to put a battery It should always be in front of or at the side of the engine. How old is said focus?
2012, with the awful PowerSh*t transmission too. When the extended warranty ends, so will my ownership of this pile of garbage.
I really love the fact that people from all over the world and I'd only watching your videos but also asking to take part to be on your videos.
Had a Toyota Corolla 16valve gti in gunmetal grey immaculate condition. Bulletproof is an understatement.
Three years of blissful ownership at ridiculously low running cost. Wanted another VW Golf so sold usual
way and took only 9hrs for nice geysers from Norwich to look after.
I currently own the sedan version of his 92 Corolla. More than 200k km on it but starts and runs like a dream.
This video legit looks like it was made in the early 90's.
Nice Scotty! A dutchmen on your vlog! You gotta love the Dutch
That guy needs his own show he's very thorough
Epic Engine. 4AFE Bulletproof. Unbelievable Reliability.
Its all relevant young man , Having grown up with the Ford Anglia and Cortina Mk1 in the 60s when we got to the late 80s and 90s we were all saying how complicated and difficult these cars were to work on , ohh If we had only known the pleasures of trying to repair a 2018 car !
But your car is fantastic , I think it was the last of the cars that the home mechanic could repair just about everything himself , Look after your car and it will be going long after the rolling computers that came after it are in the scrap yard , thanks for the video you are polite and good manners and that is nice to see these days .
Remember the American Corolla FX-16? I bought a new ‘88 CRX Si that year. The similar seats from the manufacturers in those years were so nice. No regrets. The normal fuel trigger on this featured car, I have never seen before.
I love Toyota's
@Farina Marcina 😂😂😄
That's one thing I like about Toyota, everything is very simple
TOYOTA RULES BABY!!!!!!! LOVE IT... BEST FEATURE SO FAR.
This video proves once again that everything is better in Europe!
Thought my garage was cluttered, you win.
I have the same car but a 4 door version, has a 160k miles on it and still going strong
I have a question and don’t know where to ask, so I’ll ask it here.
Car: 2006 Lexus ES 330, 115k miles.
Starting 18 months ago, it started making a funny noise. Took to my mechanic who checked it out and couldn’t determine the cause. He suggested I have tires rotated and balanced, which I did, but didn’t fix the noise problem.
Noise description: A constant, random thumping noise whenever going over 30mph. Some passengers say they can’t hear it, but from the drivers seat, it’s more pronounced. Tempo of noise doesn’t change when car changes speed.
No, have had no problems with your videos.
I love my 2016 Corolla, it is the best.
Hey, I had the Toyota Starlet and it would not Die. There is one P8 for the first generation right here in the street. Toyota from the early 90ies are strong cars!
One of the best Corollas ever.. had one with 1.3l and one with 1.6l (or maybe 1.5l) engine. They are amazing. And sure no Automatic... This is Europe 1998-2004
great English spoken there, nice descriptions, give this a guy his own show!
I'm amazed at how well he kept the car.
The cigarette lighter sells it !!!.
Great video! Americans mostly care about their powerful SUVs and 600+ HP muscle cars. They’ve got no time for 90s hot hatches.
Good morning Scotty!
Well put together!
morning!
A friend of mine had this model. I drove it twice from the Netherlands via Austria to the north of Slovakia (in one go of 18 hours) and one time to Italy. It was so smooth and comfortable. When we got back home and I had get back into my old and worn Ford Fiesta I was heart broken, lol.
Mikesh, Excellent Job!
My 1995 Corolla had same motor and drove it over 400k km's and it was by far the most fun car I had 😁
Wow, that is a pristine 90’s Toyota!
Some rather different options. To bad we don't get some of these cool options here. Nice car.
This guys presentation was Brilliant!!! Lol !! I really enjoyed it lol!
Thank you! I had a blast making it 😁
You are Welcome!
wow that car was kept in great condition, inside & out..
Quite surprising all the modern features it already packed, considering it was made in the 90s.
I want one! Bring back the simple, practical, functional, useful designs in cars that really matter, things that make driving fun, and give the driver a sense of control, in place the nannies that modern cars are full of.
Finally something i like scotty...
title should be proof Japanese car can be reliable
@Farina Marcina ; in 1990 it was good enough
Unfortunatly Toyota does not really make cars like this any more. In Europe the Corolla has been renamed Auris and is a pretty bland hatchback or wagon, which is mostly sold with a hybrid engine. If you want a fun everyday driver, you need to look elsewhere.
🤔😬
Fortunately, the Corolla E12 finally got a successor, the new Corolla E21!
Well at least here in Finland (Europe!) sedan model has still been named Corolla and now Corolla is coming back with full lineup!! :-)
Such a clean corolla, I also have one but mine is a EE90 version with the 1.3 2E. Not as clean as yours but I love it!
HELLO.....HELLO.... I have 5 Toyota Corollas between 1989 and 2001. I RENT THESE CARS OUT TO MY CUSTOMER!! "Almost NO serious maintenance"
Two things this Toyota had that North American models did not...
The headlight height adjust... Many cars in Europe and Asia have a control inside the car to adjust the height of the headlamps. This control was near his shifter next to the mirror control. Very Cool.
And the controls concerning headlight brightness next to the fuel quality control... A switch that tells the computer to adjust the timing based on the octane of the fuel being burned. Both of these are unheard of here in North America. DOT/SAE both in Canada and USA don't want driver adjustment of lowbeam height or brightness from the drivers seat in real time.
Nice Review.
Gorgeous Car!!!!! Very high quality and built to last. Not like the electric recycled garbage every auto maker builds today.
Scotty, I'm gonna have to send you my video of my 1998 Toyota Rav4 with 320,000 miles all original. First and only owner.
I owned Mercedes Benz, BMW and Nissan in between but they all come & go! That Toyota stays FOREVER (until wheels fall off) LOL 😂
I had one of these in the UK, mine was an 88 n had much better interior, volt meter, air fuel meter oil pressure gauge all in the dash from factory
What is beautiful machine... And it extremely well maintained...
I liked the car and the scenery. What a place to drive.
Woah woah WOAH! A 1992 corolla with power locks and fog light switch!!!!!
I got a white Scotty Kilmer(94 Celica) and the lady I got it from had to purchase the electrical stuff extra, sad she didn’t get the moon roof though but hey it’s a 1994 Celica and it’ll last forever cause Scotty said
That is 1 VERY sporty Corolla! It's a shame this model wasn't sold in the U.S. market back in it's day! It's also quite advanced for that era as well!
The young Dutchman is very well mannered and speaks VERY good English!
It is so sad that this car is almost 30 years old and is much better than most small cars now !
Just saw this in my feed. My mum had one of these when I was a kid. Built like a bloody tank.
She bought it off a Catholic nun and never had it serviced once until it died in 2012. Shame it was an uneconomical fix, wish we didn't scrap it 💔
Best presentation yet!!
I've come to believe the best cars ever made are 80-90s japanese hatchbacks
Fun little car to drive around in. Adjustable headlight height back then!! who hoo.The 2020 TRD Camry is making me drool though.
Thanks - Amazingly pristine example of Toyota engineering. Was notified of this video.
You see a lot of the AE92 sedans in various conditions running around here in South East Asia. I personally own one myself, which was my dad's first car and our very first family car. Most people around here would swap out the 4-AF/4-AFE engine for a 4EFTE or 4-AGE silvertop/blacktop for street and track builds. The more extreme ones drop in a 3SGTE.
Hey, een Nederlander, tof! Cool little car! :)
Damn, just like watching my colleagues in high school in 1995.
Reminds me of my old Corolla SR5 Lift Back. Simple , reliable and super fun to drive!
Rev up your European car🇪🇺
Holland!!! Haha
Mooie auto, een goed filmpje!👌🏻👌🏻
Huh? Scotty a big Toyota fan? No way ! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁Nice car!
Best Corolla generation ever !
Nice car!! I have never seen a car built later that the 30's with a manual timing adjustment.
I bet Scotty would love to get his hands on that Toyota
Such fantastic English! Hats off to you!
it wasn't made in Germany: it was made in Burnaston, Derbyshire, England
