HUGE Improvement over Stock!! Axial SCX24 Free Mods +++ Brass Wheel Spacers with Crawling Video

• How did I make it work...
I picked up an SCX24 to use as an inside crawler with my 5 year old twins. I looked around and didn't see many ideas for free things to make the crawling better. I was pretty underwhelmed with it stock. I did a few things to make it crawl MUCH better. Now it's actually pretty fun to crawl with.
I made a RUclips video to show pictures and the process of what I did.
1. I flipped the rear shock mounts and moved them forward giving the shocks much more angle/travel.
2. I also moved the front shock mount to where the receiver tray mounts. This also gives the shock more angle/travel.
With these two changes it runs more of a droop setup because it makes the stock springs really soft. I may do some testing with firmer springs, although it crawls really good now.
3. I spun the battery tray 180* and this allows the battery to sit lower and forward more.
4. I pushed the front bumper in one hole and clearanced for the servo horn to give a better approach angle.
5. This next mod wasn't free, but it made an improvement. I bought the Mil Stone wheel spacer/weight kit from eBay.
These free mods will make the SCX24 much more fun. I'm not taking away anything from the guys making parts on Shapeways at all. In fact, I orderd the servo mount, rear shock mounts, and lower cg receiver mount.
