In this video we go through the startup, runup, takeeoff, cruise and approach of the DR400 in FS2020. Checklist available at www.pathfinderflyingclub.co.uk... .
Super video. Just love the relaxed style and the little jokes here and there. However, either I've completely misunderstood this or I'm living on a different planet but what is strange about the magneto switch being separate from the battery and alternator switches? Given that they perform completely separate functions in a totally different way, they could only ever be separate. In all the piston powered GA planes I've seen and flown (C172, C182, PA-28, Grob Tutor, Duke), whether in real life or in a flight sim, those switches have always been separate. I'm puzzled.
Amazing video. I'm playing Neofly 4 beta and decided to try starting with a different starter plane then 152 I normally go with and chose this one. This gave me about all info i needed to start with this plane, very compact and informational. Thank you.
there's a 160hp available for free called dr400 140b if you wan to give a try, it's much more powerful (in real life & in fs). If you need the speeds, let me know
took me quite some time to find that starter switch the first time I flew the DR400. BTW: There is a mod for a 140hp version that gives you better overall performance. The default 100 hp version is quite dull in some regards
Brilliant!! I've just started flying in this one after the 152 ,I've learnt a heck of a lot from this vid, thank you!! One thing I struggled to find ,when flying in it at night how do you turn of the ceiling cabin lights .. Subbed 👍
I fly the 120hp variant in IRL. Vx is 65 kts and Vy is 75 kts. Cruise climb is 85 kts. Final approach is 70 kts with full flaps Fuel pump should also be on for T/O and landing
awesome vid man and still soo glad that you fixed the audio!!
Would you be willing to do a video tutorial on car heat, cow flaps,& initial separator. Just on Why and when to use them

As usual... nice work man!!
Nice, brings back good memories!

Which do you think is better to do a sight seeing trip around the UK coast. This robin 400 or the cessna 152?
Don't want GPS for this trip.

That was the best flight instruction I have heard in the Real or Sim world. Are you or were by any chance a real life flight Instructor?
Which plane feels the most realistic so far from the ones you have tested? thanks. :)
what does the third red light above 64 mean?
I really wish there was a mod for this to change the cockpit text to English. I would love this plane with that.
Gunna have to remember that "I'm flying IFR" joke
They fixed the 'intercom button' thing. It now reads 'Avionics Master.' :P
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤
For me, being a non-native English speaker (dutchman), you speak FAR too fast.
Try with the automatic subtitles.
I'm a native English speaker, but I'll admit it's hard to keep up after a joint.
He's a master of word-salad, long and useless sentences all over the place.
