This is one of our newer and vastly improved Apple CarPlay systems that allows for True Wireless Apple CarPlay in the MMI 3G Platform. From factory it was never possible to allow for Apple CarPlay. This system gives you the best possible way of getting it and upgrade your vehicle to the 21st Century.
On the Audi platform this module is compatible with:
✔ A4/A5/Q5 with Concert or Symphony
✔ A4/A5/A6/Q5/Q7 with MMI 3G / 3G+
✔ A1 / Q3 with RMC / MMI 3G
✔ A3(8V)/A4(B9)/A5(F5)/Q5(FY) with MIB
✔ A6 / A7 / A8 with MIB

Hey Colton, how is the system working for you months later? I just got my unit delivered and will be installing soon, but have seen some reviews saying it stopped working after some time so was curious

As long as you have MMI 3G Installed then it will work.
Hi, I have 2013 Sq5 with bang & olufsen, factory reverse cam, tv, and parking sensors etc (fully loaded). Will all of my factory equipment still function with this CarPlay system running?

are you able to pause the music and it will stay paused? I have tune2air and it sucks
On my Q5, if you push the volume button in on the center console it silences the music.

Still Supply & Fit at our workshop due to what’s involved. We tried as a supply only and too many people made mistakes when fitting and damaging the equipment.

Wish you could have wireless CarPlay on RNS510 but I guess it will never be commercially viable?
We are working on a solution to bring it to the RNS 510. Wont be the cheapest but will allow for it :)

How do you answer your phone call while listening to the radio? I assume you’re off CarPlay but your Bluetooth is still stuck to it, this means your MMI Bluetooth is not working when you’re on radio mode. Am I missing anything?

Is the quality of the sound ok ? It seems that this modules have a weak sound quality..
Never had an issue with sound. Not sure how you can make that claim without knowing what our kit is and how it works? This isn't some cheap interface off eBay. If you pay for quality then you get quality in return.

alex59ba You mean the system to an mmi 3G? If depends on if you have a original mic or not, camera etcetera. But I guess about a couple hours.
