Unai Castellanos 1. Bottom behind the MMI, it’s quite tight, you can see how hard to route all cables to finally pushed the head unit in and locked it. 2. The bottom cover has a little gap to route the phone cable through. The cover can be removed quite easily in case you need to replace the phone cable.

I have purchased and installed. All was well but now my Bluetooth calls have an echo for my callers. I hear them fine, but they have an echo....any advise?
Anyone hat a black screen with white stripes after installation? When I start the mmi it works but after pressing the Nav button for entering carplay I get an blackscreen.
So everything seems to be connecting fine for the most part. The biggest issue I am having now is if my music plays normal, the GPS sounds come through way too loud. If I turn the volume down, it doesn’t allow me to turn it back up. I have to go into “radio” mode and adjust the volume there, then switch back to CarPlay. If I go to “media” mode to adjust the volume, it says “ not available” where the volume is.
@@esexavo yes. I updated my systems firmware and now can only adjust the volume down, but not up. I am wondering though, even when my AMI cable is plugged in, it’s not giving the option to chose external sound input like in the above video.
@@mikehughes4107 go to sound, then settings (on the original MMI) you would be able to adjust front sound volume for navigation, and the sound from music separately

Great video. I installed this product today. I can get sound from everything except the Maps App (for iPhone). I have tried to check every setting I could and still can’t get it to work.
Mike hUGHES call the vendor to see if they can help you, does the sound come from the iphone? Phone Bluetooth is connected to the car BT? If you can make phone calls and text then the map should work, try google maps, waze

That's all you see there in the video, all were supplied, important thing is to make sure you have MMI 3G Plus, the LVDS in the back is NOT pink and you should have AMI to get audio to AUX mode. Quite easy although some installation
@@3dogs1monkey Sure you have got the MMI 3g plus and Not the normal 3g? Thought 3g plus does Just have 4 Buttons arround the gearstick (Nav, Tel, Radio, Media). Normal 3g (Nav, Info, Car, Setup, Radio, Media, Name, Tel)
Would this work with Android Auto? And my car is a 2011 Audi Q5 but without a navigation, would this work or do I have to change the screen and more things as well?

This one is Carlinkit wired, now they have wireless one that’s much nicer, there are many companies that make this. Watch my CarPlay video for A5 B8, cheaper and works well too.

mahdid tarek all MMI 3G should work, ask the vendor for specific MMI 3G, either 3G or 3G plus, different system, 6.5” and 7”, the controllers are different. Make sure to have AMI for Auxiliary input.

Douglas Santos yea, that said NO MMI, it should work but I prefer the WIRED over the wireless, i have both on my MMI 2G and it does cut out sometimes with wireless. Hopefully this one doesn’t since it’s right in front of you. Amazon you can return if it doesn’t perform.

No cable, just the ami aux hooked up and dangling inside the glove box.

Does the car play box easily fit back in the head unit when you replaced everything at the end? Great video!
It’s a little tight but will fit nicely, need to push all the cables efficiently in the back
