Enamavu
The waters of Kole fields from Kecheri, Viyyur, Puzhakkal and Kurumali Rivers drain into the Enamavu Lock and then flow as the beautiful stretch of backwaters that lead to the Chettuva estuary. The lake covers about twenty five square kilometres. On western side of the lake, it is protected by a bund which was the brain child of Sakthan Thampuran. Enamavu is located beautifully amidst backwaters, lake, dam, hills and lush green fields. The bund has been created to prevent the fresh water of the lake from mixing with salty seawater. Paddy plantations are aplenty and they are well placed with the hills forming a picturesque backdrop. The one acre Nehru Park located near Enamavu bund will be developed as a major picnic spot with necessary facilities for visitors. The park belongs to Venkitangu Grama Panchayath.

Pavaratty
is a census town in Thrissur district in the Indian state of Kerala.Pavaratty is situated in the coastal area of Chavakkad Taluk in Thrissur District. The town is about 23 km north-west of Thrissur town and 5 km south of Guruvayoor. It is the site of St. Joseph's Parish Shrine, Pavaratty and also lies near Palayur (4 km), famous for the Palayur Church. Nearby airports are Cochin International Airport (77 km) and Calicut Airport (95 km). The nearest railheads are at Guruvayoor and Thrissur. Nearest bus stations are Thrissur Bus Station and Guruvayoor Bus Station. From Thrissur, the shortest way to Pavaratty is via Amala-Parappur-Puvathur.
Govenda Church, Pavaratty,
Govenda Church (known also as St. Thomas CMI Church) is a small catholic church located in the village of Pavaratty, the neighborhood of Thrissur in Kerala state. The society was founded a few decades ago by local missioners from Western Europe. The building of the church was constructed at the expenses of European sponsors as well, and the church is considered to be the main landmark of the area.
Palayur
St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, is located at Palayur (also spelt Palayoor), in Thrissur district in Kerala on the west coast of India. According to tradition, the Syrian church was established in 52 AD by St Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ.[1] It is one of the oldest churches in India. It is second only to Kottakkavu Mar Thoma Church, North Paravur, and is called an Apostolic Church credited to the apostolate of St. Thomas, who preached and also introduced Christianity to the people here. It was part of the seven churches that he established in India, the others being at Cranganore, Kokkamangalam, Kottakkavu, Kollam, Niranam, and Chayal (Nilackal). The original small church structure has been retained at the original site. But substantial improvements around it were carried out during the 17th century by Reverend Fenichi, as necessary, without sacrificing the main sanctity of the place.
Chavakkad Beach
is beach in Chavakkad Municipality of Thrissur District in Kerala State. It lies on the coast of Arabian Sea and attracts domestic tourists and local people. The beach is situated 5 Kilometers from Guruvayoor Temple Sri Krishna Temple. In this beach, the river meets the sea known as estuary. The meeting point is known as Azhimokam in Malayalam. It is counted amongst Kerala’s most popular beaches because the beach is unexplored by domestic tourists.[1][2]
The azure waters and the energy of the fishermen as they bring in their daily catch to the beach is a sight to behold. The fresh catch of the day is sold in a matter of few hours.
