Thanks for the explanation on the MOA in relationship to the scope mount & bore! Learned something new, keep up the good work and great videos! Long time viewer and subscriber here!
KB I'm glad you mention about the movement on the Aimpoint, Here is the deal. KDG removed the little ball detent on the underside that prevent it from moving, If you google counterfeit you will see that the fake ones looks just like the real ones now. I thought I had a fake one but when I called them they said that they no longer put the ball detent on them. Thats why I stopped buying from them.
I always look for made in the USA sticker when I purchase anything. I’m glad to pay extra for a company that does business here and has American employees… not to mention the quality is better, as you said also. This is how a good economy survives. (Not saying it’s good now though).
Primary Arms is an amazing company based out of Texas. Your order will be delivered within a week (usually 3-4 days)! I always go there first for anything I need.
I was wondering about the scope mount. But when you mentioned the rail being made out of magnesium you sent me on a quest. A certain gun auction site sells Trybe demo products at a big discount. Sure enough there was the fifteen inch version of this handguards. Unfortunately it had a barrel nut that was cross threaded. Apparently the first batch had barrel nuts where the threads weren’t cut deep enough. They sell a factory replacement. But I suspect that both are made in China. Did some searching and Ghost firearms sells a replacement barrel nut that is exactly the same size. And made in America. Plus it’s half the price of the Trybe. I have a magnesium lower already on a gun that I assembled years ago. Didn’t like the Keymod aluminum hand guard that was on it. So now I have a very light AR47. I also bought the mount. It was an open box deal. $170 delivered for the mount. And $100 delivered into the handguard including the new barrel nut. It is crazy how many times I go to buy something and you have a video on it. It’s like we seam to think alike. 😅
First time ever saw a China design coped by a USA company. Hiram, Sonicking and Zonebike from amazon are made like this mount. I have used all three China versions and have had very good luck with them.
Jesus Christ man you drank enough coffee to make me gittery you're bouncing all over the place in the beginning of this one!!! LOL Great video as always keepem coming brother but less coffee next time if possible...
I wonder if the unity offset adapter is interchangeable? Industry standardized the HUB with suppressor. Now the mount game needs to be standardized with either offset or 12o'clock dot positions.
You've must have never priced a Badger or Sphur mount. If 250 is too much, and I agree, check out the Primary Arms GLx series of mounts. Closer to 100 which is more in line with Aero Precision and others' costs.
Sonicking and formerly Fidragon, Amazon China brands, used to make a ridiculously similar mount down to the weight and torque specs. Very good mounts for somewhere around 1/8th the price. Ive seen China rip off good American mount designs in the past but this is a strange flip flop as the other mounts have been around for years.
That is very similar to a mount that 704 tactical has reviewed. Pretty sure it was about $200 less. I expected you to say Primary wanted $100 at most!!!
Ok so I’m not trying to be a jerk when I ask: isn’t this a copy of the “SonicKing”, “Hiram”, etc. Amazon Chinesesium mount? Dimitri from Primary Arms has run that China mount in his vids for a long time. They’re good mounts in my experience: steel on steel mounting hardware, rings have always passed alignment test, scope is not held left or right of center, etc. Don’t get me wrong, there’s value in the market for a USA produced copy, I just haven’t seen it addressed.
Hey KB. Do you have a preference for which side of the upper's picatinny rail, you run clamping wear to? I like my levers or bolt heads (of a Detachable C Mount) on the left side of my rifles. I like to run any wear that occurs from the moving clamping piece, to the right side, and keep it like that for rifles the I swap optics out (i.e. a rifle kit out that has a red dot, and a scope I interchange) Does anybody else has a lever or wear n tear side policy with their rifles?
I really like the look of it. One thing I always wonder is why scope mounts/dot mounts are so expensive. I understand to a point. But anything over 150 dollars is insane to me. Hasn't stopped me from buying in the past, but I always wonder how they can make 5 dollars worth of aluminum or steel into a 500+ dollar mount.
If everyone that works at these machine shops makes six figures and more then it will cost you and I more. Where in China the same machinist will make $4 bucks a week. Yes the American made is better...but is it $430 better...you decide.

Way to go KB, Glad to see you mention made in USA.

Highly important made in the usa 🇺🇸!
Another enjoyable video Brother 😉👍👊🇺🇸
250 bucks? Nah no reason to pay that much, there just isn't.
I agree.

I'D mill out one myself before i'd pay $250!
That's too much!
Great video, as always man. I know you’re going to put out a full review, but how does that plx compact 1-8 compare to the vortex razor 1-10?
Interested in this question as well. Which would you choose of the 2?
Wish the cantilever was further above the rail so you could tuck an offset red dot mount further back vs in front of mount.
That’s some strong coffee
I think you may have got the weight wrong. It says 5.9oz on the website and I have the exact same mount and it weighed in at 5.95oz on my scale.

What velocity are you shooting those 77gr at? I have a SLX 1-6 FFP Raptor and wondering what velocity I should be going for
What mount are you using in the pic it has the 509T on?
That is very similar to a mount that 704 tactical has reviewed. Pretty sure it was about $200 less. I expected you to say Primary wanted $100 at most!!!
Check out their GLX line of scope mounts. They run about 100
Got a link for the scope mount ?
The PLX 1-8 optical looks fantastic. Does it weigh a ton more than the 1-4?
Almost the same weight
Says 26.8oz on their site. Ouch.
@@adlucem9845 that’s the gen 1 version
This is the gen 2 version 17 ounces
Can you get the arisaka leveler on it ?
Hey brother (KB32) I need some advice on tuning a build. Is there any way to communicate?

👍
KB32 did you see XRing's video on the scope mount he's testing now. It's amazing, but almost $1000 for the mount...
He loves the high dollar stuff
@@kotaboy32 I love the bargain stuff that works just as good 👍

Opposite the side of the rifle that rests against me while slung to avoid snagging
Ohunt makes one similar for $14.99
👍👍👍💀
259 fckin' bucks for a damn scope mount lol. No wonder people go for Chinesium products.
Looks like someones never seen Unity and Scalarworks

warhunt tu sa hahahaha
Just an add
CHRIS "KIT" ARTHUR IS INNOCENT
I’m all for supporting American made, but c’mon man $250 is just highway robbery.
Is it just me, ? Or was this the most boring video done by my 82nd bro.
Maybe a girlie calendar in the background would help🙄
$250 🤣. Yep, made in Ameri$a. Love the channel but NO.
