You should go and watch my series Don's 68 Charger body swap. Go to my home page and click on videos. They are in order. I put a 68 Charger on a 2011 392 Challenger. Also I am currently putting a 70 Daytona on a 2022 Hellcat Challenger. That is Randy's Hellcat Daytona series.
This is really cool! I'm guessing with a swap like this, it would use the vin/paperwork from the '06?? I'm thinking this would be more cost effective than buying a newer Hemi and wondering if it's any good and then swapping everything over. Great work!!
Thanks and it would have been easier to use the 06 vin but I went through the long process of using the 68 to avoid confusion if stopped by police. If I was to do it again yes I would go with the 06 vin.
@toolhouseperformance3845 for me it was a series of inspections over the course of the build by DMV inspectors. The tough part is that it took 4 years to build during which time the laws in my state changed and they prefer the car to be vinned to match the chassis.
Im here because im about to attempt this with a 70 Torino body on a 15 scat pack Challenger 6.4 392 so i plan on fallowing all your steps

Guy out in Arizona did one in his driveway. Of course the weather out there is pretty nice all the time.
