full detail video. thanks man... I removed the belt cover with 3 clips. left them at the customer's place, went back, and only found 1. like wth... but oh well... Thanks again
Oddly my T650 runs pretty dang good with the tensioner ( not under tension). The spring load gives it enough force. Reason: my foreman overtightened bolt and broke it in the block. I had to drill it out but i felt it push thru. PLEASE TELL ME THATS NOT A CLOSED HOLE IN THE BLOCK. ( which i opened ) Thats not the inside of the actual block is it? I took a pic in the hole The steel looked very clean 😮! Thanks for all the vids!
I have a squeal coming from inside that cover at 2300 rpm and above, constantly.. seems alot more in the way to get the cover off.. you think a tightening it need or just Replace the belt and tensioner
Sir, I have questions about the Bobcat engine. I am a Bobcat driver. Please help me. The Bobcat engine is leaking oil. It is not from Lagog. Oil is coming out from under the engine..? Thank you
thanks for the video, tensioner wouldn't fit in my vise, but a big digging bar worked great to get the cams free.. tell you what's a pain in the a$$, is that fan tensioner pulley that thing whipped me
Found my problem. Blower turbines basically stuck. Oiled best I could and spun up with compressed air. Fan switch not able to get the blower to turn. Would spin up if I tapped on the housing, but would not start on its own. Idea for new video -- How to replace blower. :) Thanks again. Jay
@@tetradgroup You remember correctly. Those two right-hand bottom vents apparently are controlled by a separate fan or blower (although I've not seen it). Air comes out of them without the blower (under the seat) spinning. When the blower (under the seat) spins up, the top vents deliver air.
How often do you have to replace your tensioner? At work I maintain a t190. Seems for the price of these tensioners, they don't last long. I've been replacing this one at least once a year.
Sorry to ask for advice, but my nearest dealer is a few hours away and not great helping by phone. 2013 T650. Personal use only. Ceiling vents are not blowing air. Bottom vents blow on all three fan speeds. Service manual does not show duct routing so I'm stumped as to where to check. Cleaned out blower motor of dust. Seems to spin freely. Guess it's ok since the bottom vents blow air. Ideas? Really appreciate it.
No problem, anything I can do to help. Have you changed your outside filters and your recirculation filter behind the seat? The air flow system is a single plenum so there has to be an air restriction somewhere. There is not a mechanical device that separates air from the top to the bottom vents.
@@tetradgroup Thanks so much for the response. Cleaned the outside filters. Inside filter is missing; cover is present, but no filter. I shot compressed air backwards through the upper vents. Maybe the recirc filter got sucked in. ?
@@duxnlabs it's possible but the filter is really small. You have no air flow on either side of upper vents? I have pulled large rats nest out of the headliners before,
@@tetradgroup I wondered about that. Yuck. Guess I'll start pulling the interior. I REALLY appreciate your taking the time to respond. I enjoy your content a great deal. Very informative!! Thanks. Jay
I have a 2001 bobcat t190 and there is a hammering noise conning from the flywheel area and I have replaced the drive belt and tensioner, machine runs perfectly but the noise it very annoying and fluctuates with the rpm and stays the same under a load, any ideas?
In this case I used an OEM tensioner. Although some people do not like the aftermarket tensioners I have used them in the past with good luck. I've rebuilt a few tensioners years ago however the price of the individual parts and the time involved to rebuild it in the long run its cheaper just to buy the complete assembly.
If the bearing is siezed it would destroy the belt but that's the only reason I can think would cause low engine power. If you have low hydraulic power the belt could be loose and slipping possibly.
Great job. I ended up watching trying to replace a radiator hose and saw the other belt was off. Glad you identified it as you were putting it back on--the fan belt.
Thank you sir. I have questions about the Bobcat engine. I am a Bobcat driver. Please help me. The Bobcat engine is leaking engine oil. What is the reason? Thank you again. My name is Jamal from Morocco. Thank you sir ♥️
Hey I install a new tensioner pulley and a new belt. like you have in the video. after starting, the belt jumps off the hydraulic pump pulley. ruins the belt. Please tell me what is the reason?
On the cooling fan belt. Do all the pulleys line up straight? I have an 864 and the top pulley is about 3/4 of an inch to the right. So the belt comes off the idler pulley and has a lean to the right. I replaced a broken belt and the new one only lasted an hour. I may have had the wrong belt, it was thigh and very difficult to get on. I checked the motor mounts and they look good.
It's manual foot controls only 😞. There is a float pushbutton on the left joystick but it doesn't down anything. After pressing the operate button the lift & tilt valve light slowly flashes but lift and tilt still works, and no error codes, so I've been using that way as long as I've had it.
Good eye! The belt I used was actually for a S160 and although different part number they are almost identical but 1/8 longer. The S160 belt will work on both but the 763 belt would be to tight for the S160. This way I only have to stock 1 belt on my truck for multiple machines.
Great Video, Thanks. My belt stared screaming this winter while I was plowing snow... I sure as hell did not what to do it then LOL. And thanks for the comments on the aftermarket pulleys I did not want to pay the $400 bucks for a new one.
Simple process... Except i can't neither my old one nor my new one compress, even in a vice. Anyone have any suggestions? 🙃 Pretty discouraging to be stuck on a one-bolt job 🙃
@@tetradgroup there's got to be something I'm doing wrong. I tried two different vices I can't get either the old one or the new one to budge. PB blaster all over them nothing is moving at all. 😕
@@tetradgroup i finally got it to go cranking with all my might on the vice. Soaked it with pb blaster and worked out on the vice. Now I'm fighting with it on the skid. Funny thing is, that it already seems pretty darn tight without the tensioner having even spun past the factory 1:00 position. I gave up on trying to tension it more, and just left it. Gonna start it and see if it's tight enough to work.
I have the same problem. No matter how much I crank down on the tensioner in the machine, that little arrow doesn’t move. Is the spring in the tensioner only there to help you adjust it? The spring doesn’t actually do anything once that bolt is tightened?

They sell the parts to rebuild this tensioner.. Have not found a video of how to do it though
Is there a way to install new timing belt without a tension tool

I find it rare that they fail, I think you should get a lot more than a year out of them. Not sure what the issue is.
Nicely filmed video. One question, does it matter whether the numbers on the belt face toward the motor or away?
Thanks and great question, the belt is not directional so it can be installed either way.

Is it possible to replace the bearings inside the tensioner?
Yes...
Did you use a bobcat OEM belt tensioner? Or did you buy one aftermarket. I see the aftermarket ones are about half the cost.
And I see on bobcats website they break them down you can’t just put new bearings in it and run it?
