I got a new mic, now I don't sound like a robot 😎
Also sorry, there are a few typos because I made half of this in school.
rubby:all of these enemies have some really good drops for all classes
Summoner: am I a joke to you?
while the frost moon has no summoner drops, the pumpkin moon has the second best whip in the game, the second best summoner armor in the game and an accessory required to make the best summoner accessory in the game.
which i think is more than enough for them.
@@iikoko2008 the tiki armor has an increased whip size wich is mostly better than the spooky armor, but yeah, we could say that its the second best... if it wasnt for the old one's army's armor pieces wich give more survivability with very similar damage.
No kidding you can beat the entire game with a late-game weapon
the thing is
it's even beat the Pilar weapon in term of dps
@@Puss_pog but only short term cause it inhales your mana
@@redendermanhd yeah
And also it's not good against moving Target like cultis
Shocking news
@@Puss_pog Just aim lul
Mana related items indirectly give more damage because you will be affected by Mana Sickness less often
Razorpine brings me back to the Xbox days
PS3 for me, but 1.2 nostalgia is a universal experience
indeed
Same
Idk. It never felt like mage class needed more damage. It already does a lot, and since it's a resource using class it makes more sense to give mana regen since you'd need it more than the dps
It really doesnt though considering the mana flower solves all of those issues
@@conall4860 ?? But then you have constant mana sickness which is minus %20 damage
@@conall4860 I think mages by nature have really high damage from the beginning, which is balanced out by “limited” resource of mana, but more importantly it’s balanced out by the MANA SICKNESS DEBUFF. So you can think of it as:
more mana management->less time spent in mana sickness->more damage
...the mage class is known for being the class with the most dps. I don't think it needs a damage buff with accessories.
Bout to say the same thing
Under certain circumstances, but on average fighting a boss melee has the easiest time. If you factor in potion sickness it's not even that powerful tbh.
@@HEARTLESSKAMUI _i literally achieved 4k dps pre cultist with a weapon you can get pre mech_
@@therealadamshort which weapon?
@@HEARTLESSKAMUI
probably razorblade typhoon / bubble gun
Mages only have "2" (you can use the all-classes accesories like celestial stone, for example) damage accesories because they have the magic power potion and the crystal ball. No other class has a potion that gives you +20% damage increase (and you have access to it since pre-hardmode) and the crystal balls gives you +5% damage and 2% crit chance with magic weapons. So it's reasonable to say mages have a total damage multiplier that is 7 - 12% (relative comparison) higher than other classes. The only class that comes near this is melee because of melee attack speed, and then again that only works with some weapons.
The nostalgia is immaculate
I don't think mage having few accessories that priorities damage is an issue (especially near endgame), in fact mage accessories that boosts mana regen is quite a plus. As you showcased, the Razerpine and Last Prism can deal heavy damage on their own, along with showing how Razerpine could beat moon lord teir weapons damage wise. The main gimmick with the mage class is that these weapons require mana to use. If you don't have mana, they become useless. Sure you can equip a mana flower or its upgrades and call it a day, but you better have greater mana potions on hand to continue using these weapons that devours mana. Also, there are other accessories outside of mage that boost damage such as the avenger emblem/destroyer emblem and the celestial shell. You can even further boost your damage by reforging your accessories into menacing (4% damage boost) or lucky (4% crit chance). Speaking of endgame, the Nebula set boosts mage's damage greatly, even more with its set bonus. Over all, mage can still deal heavy damage even with very few damage boosting mage accessories
the funny thing is
even though mage don't have that many acceciory
it's beat all class in term of dps
except zenith of course
Coin gun with platinum beats out zenith BTW
And how do you propose we get enough plat to use the coin gun for more than 30 sec without cheating it in I'll wait
@@gamerman3034 I never said it was viable I just said it out dps zenith
i thlammed my penith in the car door
good for you

Razorpine is legit the absolute best Magic weapon before Moon Lord stuff, it's just so good at everything, from crowd control to single target bosses
0:42 summoner: 💀
When i played on 1.2 mobile, this was my favorite weapon to use alongside the spectre hood bc it gave me so much healing .
Og happy days fans know everything about this weapon
Ohhh Razorpine
I remember back in the days that I would always go mage so I could use Razorpine
I would go spectre set (hood) and use Razorpine
It's basically OP since you basically never dies because of lifesteal
I used the exact same setup. It was super useful for fighting expert mode duke fishron for the shrimpy truffle, and I basically became the hard carry for my entire team.
The accessory thing is kinda not much of an issue, since you can just use The different emblems that just increases all damage. And You said it was a problem with endgame, but You actually get access to most of The emblems in endgame, and in earlygame You only get your first damage accessory from wall of flesh
@@Sealthar and The celestial magnet. But that wasnt The point. I just said You can still get damage, so it really isnt an issue that You only get Magic damage from two items.
@@Sealthar ? Its not a problem for The mage class, when You can use other things, even when they arent specifically for mage
@@Sealthar You do realise that damage and magic damage is literally The same for a mage, right?
@@Nuudson007 Ok so let me get this straight, I know you're saying that there are accessories outside of mage that can boost all damage types such as celestial shell and avenger/destroyer emblem, but are you also saying that emblems such as warrior, ranger, and summoner can even boost mage type damage? If that is the case then it's very wrong for obvious reasons
@@leog9573 I thought that should have been obvious. Of course I wasnt talking about The other WoF emblems
everyone forgot about slime rain
even boss checklist did
take inferno staff from dungeon, dome golem since he still a joke, farm saucer and get the machinegun
Which vanity items do you use?
snowman cannon is epic
The title: C:
Terraria community: Yeah, We already knew that.
Mage class already outclasses most DPS and Viability, not until Zenith 👑 came
I do t think extra damage accessories are necessary, besides Mana is a very important thing for Mage, it’s understandable why most of it’s accessories are centered to that.
A little bit off topic, but when you mentioned the Ranger accessories it also reminded me that most of the hardmode Ranger accessories upgrade arrow damage, not bullet damage, hell, even in the potions they only have one for archery. I kinda wish they did more bullet (or maybe even Rockets/Flamethrower) focused accessories for Ranger....
Still, Mage really does get the short end of the stick with damage.
i guess its to balance the fact that bullet type weapons are generally much stronger, so they have to give arrows something
@@namisauce9826 Well, i suppose that's fair. Ranger's gun DPS is already crazy with armor set damage boost alone, after all...
Razorpine be shreddin
Ngl rubby the mic imo doesn't sound different but if you like it it's ok, Razorpine is bassicly like the Razorblade typhoon in a sense if you get either they are both good for the remainder of the playthrough (in vanilla that is)
Mage is so op that relogic only give them 2 damage accessories
Mages also have the magic power potion though
So the ice scream also screams, just like the everscream.
I mean there are all class damage boosting accessories you dont have to have all mage accessories. Theres avengers emblem which stacks with celestial emblem and destroyer emblem
and he forgot about summoner
“um actually, the lunar invasion is an event as well”🤓
true
Might wanna add bloodmoon and solar eclipse too then
@@user-hv6nl3cz1z true
I don't think mages really need more damage accessories given the fact that they have some of the best weapons and magic power potion exists for mages which no other class has an equivalent potion for (Archery potion was nerfed to 10% in 1.4.4)
I think crit chance is way more powerful than damage increase. A while back I got mage to do more DPS than phantasm + luminite arrows.
Isn't phantasm and luminite arrows really bad against singular enemies aka bosses
@@ZombieJWR bro phantasm and luminite deals more dps than last prism.
just no.
@@lucasp8311 I'll have to do some dummy testing starting with one and going from there
@@ZombieJWR i already did
background music?
I think the main reason for mages not having many damage based accessories is because
A. It the class that tends to deal the highest dps
B. If we're talk post plantera then you gotta take Spector armor into account have magic weapons dealing insane damage and having Spector armor healing you for a percentage of it would be too overpowered
And C. It's more important to have mana based accessories for mages than damage based ones late game due to magic weapons costing more mana to use
Before watching this video, I didn't know they were rare. I got three in one event.
razorpine's drop chance increases with waves. it's not always that low.
I loved this weapon
YOU DIDNT EVEN TALK ABOUT THE SUMMONER CLASS
Razor pine is the 3rd best mage weapon in the game
well no shit why this was the best weapon in 1.2 thats an insane nerff
For me the razorblaze is better, just because i'm bad at aiming, sure the razorpine is having a very high dps, but its useless if u can't aim
Yeah, late game mage kinda falls with accessories, the ones that adds to damage contradicts with items for survivability
Try not to overrate the razorpine challenge
Good video, but about events.
You haven't noticed Blood Moon, Pillar event, Solar Eclipse, Slime Rain
P.S. maybe I haven't noticed any others too, so be sure to check also by yourself
slime rain
@@heroisbanned2 of course !
Thank you.
@@heroisbanned2 and now, there it is
I shouldve used a razorpine when i played mage
Bruh
Blood moon.
I love this comment section. Everyone just got together to tell the RUclips "NO!!!" and it's hilarious.
Either way, we don't want mages to deal more damage... Sincerely, a summoner players (and been one for years).
🎄
Poor mages? Na man yall just want to be stronger even though you already have the strongest dps weapons till post moonlord.
first degree murder
Its still worse than the Laser machine gun from Martian maddbess, so its not the best.
lunar event???
we know, it's meta.
personally i get the razorpine just to destroy duke and get bubble gun and razerblade then i wont use it again
bad take on the accessories
