- Zenith is the strongest sword in Terraria: Journey's End and i defeated ALL bosses (including new bosses) in Terraria 1.4 with this strongest melee weapon. I love how you can see the transition to hard mode, the bosses goes from "dying in milliseconds" to "dying in seconds" which is a huge difference, really puts the dificulty spike there

A range player can kill a player with zenith from off-screen by using a scope, so far this and traps are what can counter zenith

This sword was almost going to be called "Journey's End", which could've also been a perfect name. It uses essentially every major sword, including the very first one you get, and the very last one. It's almost poetic.

The zenith represents all your hard work, and is an op trophy for all your efforts and completions, which you deserve by the time you get it. Its like your entire journey in a single item, and its kinda nice..

Remember, this is master mode. Imagine of how fast this would be to kill if it was normal mode.

@RimZim actually, normal difficulty is 1.0x and journey is 0.5x
@RimZim but it ACTUALLY makes difference. But little.
You can also change your difficulty level in Journey mode to master mode and increase spawn rates 10x. So you could make journey mode the hardest mode if you wanted.
note to self:
*Don't ever increase your Melee speed because It will decrease the other sword's visibility and increase the zenith's visibility*

@@Miriko_01 The Zenith is the only new "master melee item" the test have been in the game for years and do nowhere near the amount of damage the Zenith does, and also..all of those are just moon lord drops, the Zenith take the whole goddamn game to get, so it's more rewarding.

The new best summoner item in terms of raw damage (haven't tested in effects comparison) is the terraprism or something like that which drops if you defeat the Empress of light completely the day. She is enraged then and (at least in expert) most of her attacks are OHKOs dealing thousands of damage.
NOTE: Zenith now requires the Bee Keeper!!

I like how even with post moon Lord equipment, 15th wave of the Pumpkin moon was still beyond me. Then I finally finish the Zenith, and it's completely annihilates everything,to the point where I just have to stand in place and use the weapon and let the hearts from the kill enemies heal me rendering me essentially immortal and trivializing the entire event. I'm overcome with a momentary thrill of godhood. Then, emptiness, as now every other weapon is meaningless, as is any other weapon I haven't obtained yet. No monster nor boss can stand to me. This is it, everything I've been working towards. And now that I finally have the Zenith, there is nothing. I am empty. The game is over.

@@godlyvex5543 its not, Meowmere does 200 base damage, while Zenith does 190. The thing is the DPS is way different, Zenith does 18k while Meowmere gets like 1k max

Meowmere has higher DPS than last prism and is comparable to zenith, plus melee is tankiest, usually faster, regenerates the most, and more.
I really like that they made an ultimate melee weapon but I wish they would have made an ultimate ranged, magic and summoning weapon too. Weapons that are equaly strong and difficult to craft.
