@@MiniQuest64 there's a big character in WoW named Rexxar, a half-ogre half-orc hunter, who has 3 companions: a bear named Misha, a wyvern named Leokk and a boar named Huffer. His story arc was unfolded in WC3, TBC and BFA. Just recently I went through TBC campaign and that location (Blades Edge Mountains) gave me chills, such nostalgic vibe. So anyway you could go with a piggy first too :D PS: I'm glad my comment granted Misha a treat! Give him a little pet also plz :D

Aber ein gut gemeinter Hinweis: wenn du so einen fetten Kratzer an der Hand hast, solltest du den zumindest für deine Aufnahmen mit einem Pflaster oder so abdecken. @@MiniQuest64 I just finished printing them actually yesterday, but unfortunately during the cleaning process I broke off some of the spines so I need todo a little bit of repair before. But I'm definitely painting some green blue and even orange.
@Zach Zolikoff Yeah those spines broke on one of my models too, I didn't manage to glue them back on and instead printed some new ones. Would love to see your painted version once it's finished!

Deine Idee vom Schlingendornthal klingt auch sehr gut, ein legendäres Gebiet mit Raptoren, Trollen und dem Nessingwary Lager! Da müsste man sich ein Konzept für die ganzen Pflanzen überlegen. @@MiniQuest64 I've decided to start sometime next year once my designs are drawn but for my specific projects I intend on using Monster Clay Premium Grade Modeling Clay for my statues. It is a sulfur free oil/wax based elastic clay and after googling I don't see any reason why the epoxy resins and pigments in this tutorial wouldn't work for my materials as I am essentially replacing your xps terrain and putty shapes with clay. Could you have any insights that you could share, is my research sound on face value?
Oh, you can absolutely do it with monster clay! Most of the times I use xps because it's really cheap. ^^ About the epoxy, I would recommend brushing a first thin layer of epoxy onto your surface and letting that dry completely before doing the big pour. That way, you can prevent any reaction with materials that might occur, and you fix everything beforehand/prevent bubbles. (Minibricks do it all the time.) Please keep me updated about your project o.O
@@MiniQuest64 Nice I will, but I am throwing out very loose optimistic schedule dates as I am 8/25ish characters done in my drawing design stage. It is a huge amount of projects that I am simultaneously doing when creativity hits each with different individual components/looks. Plus I still have to research more, revise, scrutinize and if need be, remove/cancel some to only keep my best designs to ensure their structural/photogenic stability so these larger/fragile parts don't break easily or look unappealing. Most importantly prepare a safe work space/buy tools and materials to get them off my pages. : D

This diorama looks stunning! If you ever decide to make another WoW diorama, it’d be cool to do a quillboar or tuskar village. Or maybe you would get more views by doing something connected to the current WoW situation, like Deathwing on the Stormwind City gate (Cata Classic) or much smaller scale of Jade Forest or Vale of Eternal Blossoms (MoP remix) 😇

Oh yes definitely! I've already printed all the models for the next wow diorama. My biggest enemy though is time, so there will be another one for sure, but I can not say when (except, that it will happen this year)
Great work Sergei. I'm glad you salvaged the diorama from the first mispour this time How heavy was the finished piece? Instead of lights, you need to wire up a little sound box that plays the "Mwrrggugguguh" sound the murlocks make when you press a button ;)
@Paint to life The finished piece weights about 800g, while the epoxy is quiet heavy, everything else like the xps remains light! Dude the exact same thing was mentioned in a reddit post :D That would be so cool! Have to think about a little circuit that makes this possible! Maybe another little tutorial?
Instead of Agarax earthshade, with the price of the pot, I would advice you to go with Oil Wash, the finish may be a bit more gloss but you can play with medium, and the drying time can also be fixed if necessary :)

Hey, ich finde, dass das ganze super cool geworden ist! Es gibt viel zu wenige WoW Diorama. Welche Firma kannst du für Flock, Gras und Pflanzen empfehlen?
Dankeschön! =) Also für generellen Flock (static) ist es völlig, egal woher er kommt. In Sachen tufts mag ich die Sachen von The Army Painter und ganz besonders Green Stuff World (kleben besonders gut, sehr voluminös), Nur bei Pflanzen, habe ich noch nichts gefunden, dass mich überzeugt, bzw. was ich empfehlen könnte.
@MiniQuest64 Danke für deine Antwort :) Ich werde Mal versuchen Bäume selbst herzustellen. Da gibt es ja jede Menge gute Techniken und entsprechende Tutorials auf RUclips

@The Basic Brush Thank you, appreciate it! =) Epoxy is a safe way to ruin your house, I can guarantee that at least :D I think you have to make every mistake at least one time to be absolutely prepared for everything, we will see what goes wrong the next time! Still have some project's that could top this one but it will be very hard and it already feels intimidating xD Working on a smaller one currently because the Murlocs took a big chunk of my time and energy.

I had 4 small holes and than I count the time how long a drop needs. Every drop was around 2 and 5 minutes. Than I put a lot of Zewa paper under it and after 15 hours the holes where drying out✌🏼😃
I tried to avoid using water, because it can turn into some bad reactions with resin if there are still some water drops remaining while pouring in. Did you have problems with that? Or could you maybe give a little more insight into your own process? Sounds very interesting!

Instead of Agarax earthshade, with the price of the pot, I would advice you to go with Oil Wash, the finish may be a bit more gloss but you can play with medium, and the drying time can also be fixed if necessary :)
That's an interesting suggestion! I've avoided oil washes because of the gloss finish!

In Sachen tufts mag ich die Sachen von The Army Painter und ganz besonders Green Stuff World (kleben besonders gut, sehr voluminös),
Nur bei Pflanzen, habe ich noch nichts gefunden, dass mich überzeugt, bzw. was ich empfehlen könnte.

I think you have to make every mistake at least one time to be absolutely prepared for everything, we will see what goes wrong the next time!

A tip from my experience, put normal water in to test if there are micro holes... I make some bad experience
I had 4 small holes and than I count the time how long a drop needs. Every drop was around 2 and 5 minutes. Than I put a lot of Zewa paper under it and after 15 hours the holes where drying out✌🏼😃
But the felling you see the drops are a stab in your heart
I tried to avoid using water, because it can turn into some bad reactions with resin if there are still some water drops remaining while pouring in.
Did you have problems with that? Or could you maybe give a little more insight into your own process? Sounds very interesting!
@@MiniQuest64 yeah that's true with water and resin... After the test with water I let the Diroma for 2 days drying and use a hairdryer.
