I have Fuchs dystrophy and had my cataracts surgery in March. Had my 6 month follow up for Fuchs and my doctor wants to do Demek but I see perfectly fine. I said no because I’ve watched all of your videos and all the problems that can happen during surgery. At my 6 month appt. He said I have minimal epiretinal membrane in both eyes and my right eye has a minimal fovea Lamellar hole. It doesn’t affect my eye site. I’m 74 and hopefully I won’t need surgery any more.
Well I beg to differ, I have this, had a hour long surgery in a operating theatre, 2 hour recovery laying flat, 3 days laying flat, 2 months later have to have a rebubbling as 30 percent not attached due to scar tissue, eye drops 4 times a day for a year or longer, and my Fuchs dystrophy is very painful with blisters.
very informative thanks
