Thank you for the explanation. Was diagnosed with this recently - left eye only (so far?). Having cataract surgery in a couple weeks. Perhaps surgery for the FD is in my future also. Nervous but confidant.
I am 30 and have discovered I have fuchs . My edema is not seeming to respond well to drops and ointment. I have a lot if reservations to surgery - I am in shock I think because of the early onset and acceleration of the disease. Is there a point where surgery would no longer be a viable option? Thank you
I think the surgery is called Dmek not Dsek. Removing a very thin less than a piece of paper thin. Removing the Descemet’s membrane and endothelial layer only replacing with a donors.
I thought my eyesight was just getting worse. I wear glasses; I'm nearsighted. But I caught pink eye from my daughter and after it went away my eyesight. ... didn't improve. Everything eas blurry and GLARING. So I went to the Dr. He scanned my cornea and printed showing me the actual cell pattern. It showed all the black holes where my cells have been destroyed. The pink eye caused extra irritation which finally made me have to address the pain and blurring . Glaring.
K Huynh I can relate! I went to the dr. Because my eyelid had swelling and he told his assistant he sees glutata! I immediately started asking questions and he said” I know u didn’t expect to hear the but u have Fuchs, just consider u found out and addressed 2 for 1!” I cried! I was fine until they told me that! Now from time to time it just goes blurred and I got to rub my eyes to get my sight back! But I don’t know any of my family who has it and I’m only 36!😭😭😭
If somebody know natural cure for this state let we know, I got fuchs and uveitis on right eye for 1,5 year long, and little fuchs on left eye without uveitis
Thank you for the info I’m sure in the next two years I’ll be doing something with my eyes. But it’s scary!!!

DMEK and DSEK are similar but different procedures! DSEK is even less invasive.

How did you realize you have this? Symptoms?
If somebody know natural cure for this state let we know, I got fuchs and uveitis on right eye for 1,5 year long, and little fuchs on left eye without uveitis
dalibor x fuchs dystrophy and fuchs uveitis are two entirely different conditions..
How do you mean, opthamolog say that I got fuchs on both eye but only right eye got uveitis
Well it mist be a very rare coincidence then.. to get both fuchs dystrophy and fuchs uveitis. Get clarification from your ophthalmologist..
I had uveitis for 28 years on and off now diagnosed with Fuchs in my right eye, they are two separate conditions
