When I was in college, I was introduced to Jimmy Buffett's music from my roommate who pretty much had his greatest hits album on a loop most of my freshman year. To say it makes me nostalgic is an understatement...but then again, isn't that pretty much what all Buffett's music was about? Wonderful nostalgic memories?

Jimmy Buffett was a very special person he could put on music that made everyone laugh or put a smile on their face. He let them know that they counted in the crowd no matter whether. Your day was going bad or not. He would always make that day turn around and put that smile on your face, so I truly believe that he still living on spongecake.

Great tribute! I started listening to Jimmy Buffet when I was working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. I'd always liked his music, but never owned any of his albums until then, so had only heard the songs the radio stations played, which really weren't many.

And if you ever run into that black lady who was one of his back ground singers, please tell her thank you as well for hanging in there with him because her presence made me feel more welcome in the Parrot head community 😊😊😊

I wanted to tell you this the other day after listening to your video and hearing that you were born and raised in Pascagoula. I was like wow. 😊 In 1969/1970 when I was about 10 years old we moved from Louisiana to Pascagoula to be near my Dads brother. My Dads brother worked at Ingalls Shipyard. I have a cap from one of the ships that was christened and I think we also watched this ship being christened. I attended Pascagoula Jr High School in 5th grade. I just googled Pascagoula Jr High School and the old tree in the picture looks like the same tree I used to stand under in the mornings waiting for school to start. This is pretty amazing and cool 😊
That is awesome! Wow, small world! I retired from Ingalls shipbuilding almost 2 years ago. I went to South elementary which is no longer there and went to Pascagoula Jr. high and Pascagoula high. The Old high school is still there but not used as a high school any longer. Same with Pascagoula Jr. high. Thanks for sharing your Pascagoula history.

A couple of months ago I was at a supermarket. I saw the 57 sauce and immediately thought of Jimmy's song. So I bought it. I'm sad to say though, the sauce was not to my liking. I don't know, maybe I got a bad bottle or something.
