- Created by Jeff Yarlett from Media Melt Productions, he shot the show in 4 days and completed the edit a couple of weeks later. Much of the music was provided by the band Ape. Matt (Spike) Marble has added on to the initial design to create one of the best tiki rooms you'll find. Bamboo Ben (Ben Bassham) has brought his son (Blake) into the business and they are still building amazing tiki rooms for private and commercial applications. The concept of Building Paradise evolved with the addition of Crazy Al (Evans) and Medusirena to the cast. The new show was more focused on their relationships with each other and the creative process as they worked together to build tiki rooms. There was a short sizzle reel produced but not a full pilot. The Building Paradise show was shopped to a few cable networks including HGTV. They all passed on the show. Maybe in the future it will find a home.

Interesting. I don't know if I've ever seen the finished version of this with the interviews, graphics and voiceovers. Clips of the actual build have been circulating for a while. Thanks for sharing.
I reached out to the producer. It took a month of back and forth emails but he finally shared the finished pilot episode after I convinced him how much everyone would enjoy seeing it.
