- The Inferno Room flew me out to do a live show from their Makahiki event. The day after, I set up the cameras and had this conversation with the owners of the incredible Inferno Room over a hangover-battling coffee drink. We discuss their vast Papua New Guinea collection of art as well as the creation of this bar and the other artists who contributed to the look of the place.
To make the the drink in the video you will need:
--------------------------------------
Hot Coffee
Rum-Bar Rum Cream
--------------------------------------
Pour into a MaiKai coffee mug.

Thanks for coming out to Makahiki. Had a blast hanging out on the show! 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
Thanks, Ed!
Heck Yeah Inferno Room is the greatest! Love that place.
Beautiful bat decor!
6:52---I resemble that remark. I've been enchanted with everything Tiki since I was a kid though, even that 2 part Brady Bunch in Hawaii episode got me going.
Most excellent, Spike :) Once again, so glad you could make it here. I had to wonder if we had a good thing going at the Inferno, and we do. It blows away anything I've been to so far.
A must visit and…never leave! 😎
Nailed it. Love Inferno Room, and stoked to participate in this year’s Makahiki. 🤙
Really enjoyed this…the attention to detail at the Inferno Room is just incredible…and the drinks sound great 👍 ❤🤙…once again Spike’s editing and camera work ❤ ❤
The Inferno Room introduced me to Tiki culture and it’s my favorite place.
Gotta make a plan to get there someday. I seem to never find myself in Indiana lately, but this looks like a real good reason to stop in.
Great video!!!!!
What a great episode. Some day we'll have to make a pilgrimage to the midwest to check out the tiki bars there! So much to see and enjoy. Thank you Ed and Chris. You guys definitely know what you're doing.
Your vignettes are so good.. 👍👍
Thank you!
Some of my favorite tiki decor are PNG masks. This place is right up my alley
I’m headed to Indy this coming April and I’m so excited to visit this place in my downtime. Thanks!
Well worth the visit! Tell them I said hi!
Oh my god… it all makes sense now. “The punks go to tiki” i’m home boyees!
Awesome video! I'll have to make it to inferno room some day. Consider checking out Foundation bar in Milwaukee. It used to be an old punk bar. I go all the time and absolutely love it! Cheers!
That bar looks like so much fun. Hope to be able to check it out sometime next time I travel to the midwest.
What a cool bar! You should make one of their drinks on a future episode.
Looks an amazing bar!!
I wasn’t sure if I was watching ZZ Top or an episode of the Breezeway Cocktail Show. Adding this place to my bucket list.
😂
Awesome! Definitely gonna have to pay a visit!
That place looks awesome! 💀 🔥
Rad episode!
Heh, im in Wisconsin, so i gotta make a road trip it seems. Im suprised theres not more tiki bars in the Midwest honestly. With our winters, we NEED to be able to pretend to be somewhere warm and tropical sometimes. Lol.
Yes, very sad about Brother Cleve, he was a friend of mine as well. There will be a tribute article in the next Exotica Moderne Magazine - please message me if you have any fun/interesting stories to tell. Of course there is no shortage of those, as you said, he lived like 5 lifetimes, but I'd love to hear more.
6:52 ***trying not to roll their eyes when he brings up rockabilly.***
Awesome!
there was NO coffee in that "water", he poured from that jug. LOL. Having said that, I did recognise the Papua carvings because i have one myself from the upper Sepik district.
How far in advance does one need to begin procuring tickets to Makahiki? It was sold out aleady this year, by the time I was ready to shake the cocktail... 🍹
Shoot, I don't know!
I have a friend who can let me know...thanks!!
Drank too much of Jobu’s rum…
