Much love, Squad Fam
-Eric
I lost my dad last April and I didn’t realize that not only was his love language quality time but also teaching and passing on knowledge and tools for life as your dad said. I was so excited to give my kids the grandpa I never had and for them to learn so much from him but unfortunately only my oldest will remember him now and it will be a vague/fuzzy memory. I’m 29 and I still feel so lost without him here to teach and guide me. This film was beautiful ❤
I'm so so sorry for your loss.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing Eric. You are a brilliant creator!
Awhh man, nothing quite like a beautiful and healthy father-son relationship. Tears to my eyes Eric. Beautiful.
You really got me in tears. Father-son love is often overlooked; we tend to portray parents, especially dads, as evil beings in stories, but you did a great job portraying an actual dad who loves his family as much as you love him♥
Ah, thank you so much for these kind words!
Yup that made me tear up! Amazing work and so nice your could share that with everyone
Beautiful film Eric. What a memory you’ve created for the future.
All the feels. The boat. The workshop. The photos of us as kids still on the wall to this day. 😭😭😭
Thank you for sharing this. It brought back so many memories of times with my dad fishing, skiing, hiking ❤I love my old man so much and you clearly love yours very much too! ❤
Hade a huge cry great job Eric. Your dad seems like an amazing guy💗
this is so beautiful Eric
My man ❤️
Wow Eric, this is amazing and beautiful, there aren't enough people making authentic and true videos, highlighting the most important aspects of life, who we impact and how we lived our life. Thank you for standing out and making a difference, on youtube and in the world, doing so much more than just a gear review channel, but an authentic story telling channel. ❤
this is what being a film maker is about. this means WAYYYYYY more than gear videos and accomplishments and clients, this is what success really looks like.
Really appreciate this perspective.
Maybe it's the music that made this more powerful, but I absolutely loved when you cut all the music out. It truly brought focus to the moment. Loved this.
Superbe vidéo très émouvante qui montre qu’il y a encore des pères qui aiment passer du temps avec leurs enfants 👍🙂
This is an amazing film
I lost my dad 2020
he was 90
we shared photography together
that's what brought me here to you
a lot of my friends went fishing with their dads when I was a kid
I always asked my dad why we didn't
of course he reminded me that he grew up in Brooklyn where no one fished
so he never learned that his father and I never got that opportunity
but our love of photography always bonded us
that's what I think about first every time to pick up a camera
thank you for sharing this
it's remarkable
thank you for sharing your relationship with your family
another reason why am thrilled I found this place a long time ago
Oh man you made me cry at the end. Beautiful film. Thank you for telling us your story. Lots of love
I liked the video first, and then watched the entire video! Such profound thoughts! Never thought simple activities like fishing would get 3 generations to bond together and ponder over it! Kudos to musicbed as well! Eric you’re the best …….
Thanks for watching!! Didn’t know it would get this emotional, but so grateful for these moments with him. ❤️🔥
Way to use a “short film” as a cover to flex some sweet 90’s kid-Eric photos + have father son therapy 🤜🏻🤛🏻 😭😭 Also… good job being in the moment and saying “I love you” and hugging right then. Some people would have stuck to the job and you stayed in the moment and it ended up being the core meaning of the whole thing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love the colors in this film and how you let us hear you ask the questions - that hasn’t been in a lot of people’s videos and I really liked it.
Love this, Eric. I lost my father in 2008 and it's lovely to see an artist capture their own father with such loving care and craft. Kudos to you amigo, keep up the great work.
Thanks so much, Chris. ❤️ So sorry for your loss
This is beautiful. Growing up in a small town in Appalachia, fishing has been a huge part of my life. As well as for my family. It’s wonderful to see something so relatable. Killer work as always, Eric.
Thanks so much, Kaileb. It’s a part of my life most don’t know about me, but so so important, now that I’ve reflected on it.
Eric this is beautiful man. As a guy who spent a lot of time on the water with my dad over the years and now with my son, this just hit. Beautiful work.
I cried yo. As a man who lost his dad, appreciate seeing this man
So sorry for your loss
The fact that you and Danny Gevirtz posted short films today at the same time makes my heart so happy
:) Serendipity at its finest
I'm not crying, you're crying. Beautiful video Eric. Loved the pace of this, especially how you let the audience in to a raw moment between you and Papa Floberg for those last few minutes. Cheers man!
Thanks so much, Dan! Really appreciate these words!!
What a beautiful film. Important stuff !
Ooooof. Okay. Well that was lovely.
This is beautiful. Unreal storytelling on such a personal story.
Thanks so much, Juan
YOU ARE A STORY TELLER !!! IM AMAZED AT THE CREATIVITY YOU JUST SPEW , BACK TO BACK !!!! ❤️
🙏🏼❤️🔥
Who’s cutting onions 🥲
being a filmmaker in the realm of RUclips goes beyond the realms of gear showcases, achievements, and clientele. it's the embodiment of true success, shimmering with personal projects like the heartfelt collaboration with one's own father, is definitely a top-notch content. ✨️💌
One month today I lost my mother, this film hits. Love and enjoy family while you can. Time moves fast. Although I'm grieving but this was so helpful. Thank you.
So so sorry for your loss.
Thank you man@@EricFloberg
Always a home run Eric! Story, narration, music, colors 😲😲😲
You're an artist man. Loved this story of your dad and the visuals were insane! Keep up the good work dude!
Man. This is so beautiful and special. I won't go into why but thanks for making and sharing it.
Thanks for watching it and for the kind words
I envy the relationship you have with your Dad. I’ve tried to develop more intimate conversations with my dad, but he’s the type of man who won’t open up that much. If I have kids one day, I hope to be the kind of father who makes sure he tells his children that he loves them.
...you know, my dad showed me he loves me; but he’s never told me. I’m happy for you that you can exchange those words with your father, and that you’ve done it, while he’s around.
I'm sorry to hear that you've yearned for that, Rick. I've seen my dad open up so much more since I've had kids, so keep showing up & trying to have those conversations. All you can do is try, and it'll be up to him to open up eventually. Much love!
@@EricFlobergThanks so much! And I appreciate you taking the time to reply ❤
Beautifully done
Beautiful
Eric your storytelling is so incredible. I love the soft emotion your dad displays while recalling the memories you and him have together. Much love from east Tennessee!🙏🏼
Thanks so much, Garrett. Really appreciate those words ❤️🔥
Beautiful Eric!
Next level Eric , their's a rawness and reality in everything you do , its very inspiring , thank you for sharing

Love this! Magic ☺
GREAT VIDEO MAN very emotional but motivational ! Awesome story
Your video has inspired me to make a video of my Dad's life. Thank you!
Great job love you always
Dang, why’d this get me weeping!? Really moving, Eric!
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Enjoyed the video. Concise simple but powerful.
Eric, stop making me cry at work! Great job :)
Thanks for watching!!
the cut at 6:24 was perfect. it contextualized that sweet moment into a memory etched into your father's gaze. just perfect....almost as perfect as the new hair length lol
Thanks so much, man! It was so wild connecting the dots when he said that in the interview, because he was actually talking about her asking just a few weeks ago, and that footage was from June on Father's Day. Always love having archived clips like that for this very reason.
Love this video. Pulled on the heart strings this morning
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Man, this was absolutely incredible
Truly hits a sweet spot
Reminds we so much of my dad. Great video
Thanks so much, homie
Such a beautiful film! I'd like to create something similar about my dad one day. Thanks for inspiration 🙌
Eric FLOWberg! This was great man, excellent work.

Gotta get to mullet status like pops, ya know?
You got me on this one. Again.

Maaaaaaan! I've just DM'd you on Instagram, but maaaaan! By far, the best movie you've ever made!!!! 😭🖤🖤🖤
Appreciate the kind words, my friend ❤️
Beautiful work as always Eric.
Thanks so much!
@@EricFloberg Can we expect a BTS from this video, Eric? After watching this I decided to rally some friends and I'm planning a little passion project but I'm not super well versed in video production. It would be great to see the planning, storyboarding, shot lists that goes into a production like this.
Love this dude. 👍
That's beautiful! :)
beautiful Eric!
Much love, Todd
Man, been meaning to make something like this with my dad. It's his birthday this week and this comes at the perfect time for me to reflect.
Do it. Absolutely no regrets spending this kind of time with my dad.
I already know this bout to make me cry.
Edit: Yep.
Hahaha thanks for watching!
Amazing job, keep up the good work.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
this is amazing😭
Inspired!
This inspired me to make a film about my family too❤️
Damn bro this is beautiful wow
Beautiful, not the emotions I was expecting to feel on a Monday morning
Thanks so much! ❤️🔥
This is great man!!
Thanks, homie 😊

This is so good!! What did you shoot this on?
💯💯💯
🙏🏼❤️🔥
Fisher-them
There is no value we can put on our families
the adds in the middle cut all the vibe😅
Oops! Didn't think they ran mid-roll ads on non 16x9 formats. Guess they do now. Thanks! Just switched it.
