      Mr.Mejia
The problem is the video is really uninformed.
You can get a wireless charger for $3 with free shipping at the lowest price.
They then implied the wattage alone is the reason for why you can't charge your phone quickly over wireless.
The next point of never wanting to put down your phone is fallacious.
You could being a tablet and use that while the other device charges or do any other activity.
Her complaint is access vs downtime but ignores the main reason why people like wireless charging is protecting a phones charge cable.
She's correct regarding it not truly being wireless because a source was involved.
You could argue the same for wifi.
You need to plug the router into the wall so ires not truly wireless internet.

One HUGE advantage - no need to keep buying more lighting cables. As these are consumables for most people (and they break after three months or so), using wireless charging saves a lot of money in the long term. Also, it’s easier to carry one charger instead of many different cables. It’s true, most devices don’t support wireless charging but for example the AirPods, Apple Watch and iPhone do.

I've never understood the hype behind wireless charging. I mean, what's the point of making something wireless? Removing the inconveniences of an easily tanglable wire and allowing for a more free and fluid range of movement. But if your phone has to stay in the same place the whole time then what's the point? If anything, a wireless charger hinders you even more cause you basically can't use your phone at all if you're planning to do anything that requires movement.

I think the author missed a key point, which is less wear and tear on the USB port. Especially the USB-C ports used in most devices today; those things hold a death grip on the cable and can be very tough to remove. Several friends of mine struggled so much that over time it cracked the solder between the board and USB-C port, rendering the phone useless. Wireless charging is definitely a huge step in the right direction.

glad you mentioned not being able to use the phone while it charges. wireless charging is for phones that survives the whole day and let it charge overnight. but, our stupid phone industry insists small batteries on more expensive phones

It charges without plugging any cable into your phone, so no wear and tear on the charging port and you can still charge a phone that has a damaged port, or if your cable is bad. If you expected to be able to walk around using your phone as it magically is charged by radio waves, all I can say is, LOL

People miss the point of these
Instead of leaving your phone on the table or in your pocket while working (or playing games), you leave the phone on the charger, so that if you need to take it elsewhere, you don't need to mess around with cables

I got a wireless charger because the cords keep breaking or stop working AND my iPhone 7 eventually started to stop working on the plug in part. So instead of paying to get my charging port repaired and etc if this happens again, I just went ahead and got the wireless charger

The reason some people use it is because their water resistant phones charger port broke. Then you have a reason to actually use it. You basically don't have a reason to have this video

Well, two years later and I can say that wireless charging has gotten cheaper, more efficient, and more desirable, as now most devices can be used on most chargers, which eliminates the problem of fumbling around with different tangles of cables.

There is only one scenario where the wireless charging is useful, a scenario without a headphone Jack or a open port for the cable
