I COMPLETELY agree! The work that goes in to some people's videos is amazing! What's the difference between a 9 to 5 job or spending so many hours to put out one of these videos? This job seems more fun but it's a job and if you can get paid, I applaud you for it! I'd hate to see someone sell their soul to a certain product (as a sponsor) but life is about learning.

The funny thing about the growth - I highly doubt the people upset that you’ve changed haven’t changed in their own lives. Your comment about the sit com thing is spot on. If they want everything to stay the same maybe they should watch a sit com instead of RUclips. I feel like I’ve grown right along with you and that’s why I’m still here. I’ve gone through a move across the country, my parents got divorced and one is now estranged, I left a job, got a new one and immediately got laid off, I’ve gone on a mental health rollercoaster, my child has gone from struggle bus to straight A’s, I’m definitely going through perimenopause….looking back on that, I don’t know if I would have kept watching if you didn’t evolve too. Growth and change is the name of the game. You keep doing you and I’ll keep watching 😉.

I’m glad to see that you’ve received such positive feedback from your viewers on this video. I hope you keep sharing your journey and how you’re evolving both as a person and as a RUclipsr because it’s that honesty that I think helps others the most.

I'm in my 50s, but I relate to your channel a lot. I'm a nurse working in business now. My kids are grown and on their own, but I was a working mom. I cuss a little. I had a similar religious mom experience growing up and we were poor. You were still at the hospital when I started watching, and I've been cheering you on through your new job and cookbook and watching you grow. I happen to love the travel videos but also love the cooking/productivity content. You also sometimes put together really interesting, well researched videos on relevant topics that I like.
However (dun dun duuun) IMHO, this December no Vlogmas. It's too much pressure to put on yourself. Same for a lot of RUclipsrs but you have a seriously full plate. As always, thanks for sharing.

I’ve been your “die hard” watcher since 2019. The part I enjoy the most in your videos is the time management aspect of being a working mom I.e. managing to cook healthy while having a full time job and raising two children. I’d like to see more of how you manage to do it throughout the week. Also I’d like to say that you inspired me to have a baby of my own while having a career.

I started watching in 2020 while looking for recipes ideas..I’m not a mom but we are almost the same age, you’re like my wise younger sister ha! I like the idea of just random blurbs throughout a week/season just doing simple things. Decorating for the holidays, clothing hauls and your latest favorite things are fun too❤

I am a new subscriber as of this morning. I fell asleep watching RUclips and was awakened to your channel. It was a meal prep, enchiladas, salsa, chicken casserole.. The easy to make and economical menu caught my attention, and I watched you the rest of the morning before getting ready for work. That video alone made me more interested in your channel. In my humble opinion, a good content creator does change and does show elements of their lives as they change. It's not easy putting yourself out there like a human dart board, where people feel it's ok to say anything they want as though they have no faults, flaws, or imperfections. I appreciate each and every one of you who have taught me so many things through the years. You are doing great!

I’ve been watching since 2019. We are similar ages, our kids are similar ages and I also went from working outside the home full time to working from home full time. I still enjoy watching even the ones that feel repetitive. I would love to see you do more videos like this! Sit down q&a’s! I do miss when you would go live too! Those were fun! I know for myself in this stage of life I’m finding it hard to have meaningful friendships because everyone is just so busy. I feel like when you’re home with babies and toddlers it was much easier to have friendships with other moms. Anyway I feel like I’m rambling but your channel to me feels like hanging out with my mom friend! So I’m thankful for you!

As I’ve gone through the journey of pregnancy, postpartum, and now having a toddler, I can honestly say that hearing you be candid about the difficulties of raising little kids and watching how much your life changed (career changes, changes in the focus of some of your videos) gave me so much hope that each time in our life is a different season. I appreciate you more than you know and I hope you don’t become discouraged by people who don’t appreciate change.

I have been watching for 5 years. I found your grocery hauls and dinner videos. I am 42, I have been a SAHM but also a working mom. Life changes and people change, I think when channels try to stay exactly the same it gets kind of boring. I can only watch someone clean their house the exact same way so many times (honestly I stopped watching all cleaning videos, they make me feel like I don't do enough and I am not about that life lol). I like that you keep it real and you don't "conform" to the fake fluff of social media. Keep doing you Jen.

Hey it’s your KC friend here with everyone else, just appreciating the honesty. Gosh, I have been watching since Conner was six and missing teeth 😂 and I’m not real sure how I found you. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think for me, I watch you because watching you helps me to balance my life too. I think what you might not know is that most of us don’t want the pretty videos. We want the real ones on what you do when you have soccer all weekend. Hey, we got stuff too. So how does that affect what you do the rest of the week? That would be a video I like. Do you take like one night to cook a few dishes then reinvent leftovers on other knights? Are you having to carve out way more time each night to dinner? Do you keep certain frozen items or pantry items to pull together a quick meal? I think most of us would love what you do in those short pockets of time to make life better. Also, you’ve worked hard to get to where you are. Don’t let others make you feel bad for that. I’m proud of you and you inspire me! 💗

I can relate to a lot of things:) I love watching the lunch videos and organizing cleaning videos because they motivate me and inspire me….but I also like watching grocery hauls and weekend prep videos as well as day in the life. Heck I like them all lol, I love that your transparent about RUclips. I can’t believe I’ve typed all this and haven’t even really answered your question. I guess I’m here to say keep doing what your doing and I’ll be here to watch!❤

I found you from frugal fit mom about a year ago. I’m not a working mom but I really like how real/honest you are about things. Cooking videos are probably my favorite. Next to True crime that’s probably what I watch the most. Im not necessarily into food prep videos or cleaning videos but I like just real life videos. Day in the life stuff. Week night meals. I enjoy your travel blogs too. And I can totally appreciate not putting your kids out there. As my kids get older they are not wanting to be on it either and I totally respect that.

I've been watching your videos since 2020. The first video that drew me to your channel was the one about your 8 most favorite cookbooks. I'm a big fan of all of your cooking content - from your quick family weeknight dinners to your great holiday "plan, shop, and cook with me" videos. 😃
I would love for you to do some more vintage cooking. Those videos were always so much fun, esp. with you looking through the vintage cookbooks at first. Since I'm an avid cookbook collector as well, I would also be happy to find more cookbook recommendations or even a tour through your collection (or parts of it) 😉
Thank you for all your inspiration and authenticity! ❤

This is time appropriate to me. I started watching you in 2020. I didn't yet have a channel and you were one of two that I watched the first few weeks, exclusively. Anyway, today I did a video to chat about some things. One of them was content creators, "Cookbooks". I showed two of my favorite and yours is one of them. I also shared what I thought I knew about you and your life/job. I almost got it like a b+ on your life as I see/saw it. Love you, your channel and whatever you choose to do with your channel/content/life/body etc etc. Keep it up, friend.

Hello! I started watching your videos when I was researching getting weight loss surgery in 2018/2019. I am coming up to 4 years post op and am maintaining 80+ lbs down. I work as an EMT and I work as an aide in a hospital, so I related to you a lot. There was one video that you made during the covid that you were super stressed and that was so validating since I nearly lost my mind during that time so thank you for that. I don't have kids, but I do have a husband and a house to clean so those videos were also relatable. I really enjoy your work travel videos now a days. Thank you for all your videos!

I sat here and listened to your whole video while catching up with work at 11PM. Very mom life for me at the moment and I just want to tell you that I wasn’t a fan way back then in the day but I am a fan now a days! I think you are very transparent with everyone here and I love your honesty. As a working mom I love your video and I agree there aren’t a lot of working mom on RUclips that work a “9 to 5” job and I def think it’s needed. I also really like that you show us so much without showing us ur kids. Your personal story really resonates with me bc I too grew up very poor and have worked very hard to make sure my daughter doesn’t go through a lot of the things I went thru. I personally
Love your shopping and cooking videos because I always get great ideas from your videos. :) if you read this entire thing sorry for the mega long comment.

I’ve been subscribed for a few years but just recently started watching you more routinely and I rarely ever comment on videos but I feel so compelled to do so today. While we are at different life stages (my boys are 28, 24 and 17) you inspire me so very much. I was always a full time working Mom with 3 very active boys, home, dog, husband and the like but I had no side gig (now I wish I had) and I am absolutely amazed at your drive and dedication to be your best in sooo many ways. We all have the same 24 hours and girl you get every last drop out of that 24 hours!
My thoughts your growing and changing is this - some people are always going to be so uncomfortable with any change in their lives that they will seek out friends, authors, entertainers and even RUclips personalities that are constant and unchanging. That’s their struggle though, don’t take that on yourself.
I know you’re the kind of person who is thankful for everything you have and for what every day can offer you, don’t hold yourself back just to keep a few people happy. PS I think we’re all here for all sides of your uncensored personality! 😍

I started watching your channel in 2020 and you're one of the ones that inspired me to start a channel myself - of all the channels I started watching during the pandemic, yours is one of the only ones I still watch. I watch most of your videos, my favorites are the meal prep, what I eat in a week, and the travel videos (which don't do as well for me either, but they're my favorite to make).

  • @Taylor_Brianne
    @Taylor_Brianne 10 месяцев назад +1

Jen. I hope it’s okay if I leave a long comment.
I started watching your videos in 2019 after I moved back in with my parents after a first disastrous year post college. My mom started keto while I was gone and I was curious about it, and I found your meal prep videos. I was in a pretty low state of mind. The previous year had been horrible and I was working a job I hated for very little money that had nothing to do with the degree I’d just spent thousands of dollars earning.
I now have a masters degree and will be finishing the second week at my first professional job making, while still not a whole lot, the most money I’ve ever made. I’m a young millennial on the cusp of GenZ, and I value transparency as well. That’s one of the biggest reasons I have stayed subscribed and love to listen to you talk and see you work and succeed, because you’ve always seemed very real to me. I’m also from Iowa and grew up in poverty, which connects me to you as well.
But in the spirit of transparency, I think it’s fair to say that when I graduated from undergrad I had no idea how to be an adult. I did well in college and was responsible, but knew very little about the real world. It’s embarrassing to admit, but sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know. When I started watching your videos it felt like I was watching someone I could become if I tried hard enough.
Now as I’m starting my professional career in a place I’m super excited about, I can promise I’m going to still keep watching you. It’s so unrealistic to ask someone to never change, even if we really like them the way they are. I want to watch you succeed and be happy, and for your family to succeed and be happy. Thanks so much for all the years! 😊

I came to your channel about from the beginning of 2019 for the cooking videos and stayed because of your honest personality. Personally not a fan of grocery hauls or the cleaning ones (though it was always fun to see how well you clean that stove!) , but I do love the cooking ones. Weekend prep is always good. What's for dinner too. Have liked the weight loss ones mostly because of the cooking ideas. Miss seeing the kids but certainly understand their views on that.
Remember that as you are changing, so are we. Appreciate your honesty and your willingness to be real.

I enjoy your weight loss struggle and what I eat in a week, as I have those very same struggles. Your grocery hauls are good too. Hi. I'm so glad you reached out. I'm always looking for new content. I think my world is a bit different than most. We didn't have kids, it's just the two of us. That being said, I still struggle with meal planning new stuff while integrating the regular favorites. I don't mind the content about budget savings, but also, upscale meals are something we look for. A balance between the two. I did start following you for paper crafting and tried to follow for lunch ideas. They were just a bit ordinary. I've got plenty of ordinary already from my own experience in cooking and meal planning. I'm also a HUGE fan of freezer cooking and make one for tonight and freeze one for later meals. I hope you take this as positive feed back. I'm happy to support channels that fuel my needs. XO

I have been following since either January 2019 or 2020 when I found a keto meal prep video. I even went back and watched some of your older videos before that to know your content more including previous vlogmas. Love the all cooking videos, pantry cooking, freezer meals, crockpot, and more. Lunch ideas are great. I mostly follow you because your channel just feels so real to me, a mom of 4 girls who works full time mostly out of the home. I can typically catch up while cooking or eating lunch at work or sometimes while washing the dishes and doing laundry. Basically, if you are doing it, I probably am too.

I am glad you talked about this, as I was one of the people who have been missing your old content videos. That's actually how I found you in the first place, searching for meal prep vids. I have been curious about that, so thanks. Totally understand the kids growing up and not wanting to be on youtube, of course. But when you get used to certain content from certain youtubers, then as a viewer it can be a hard change. As you know of course being a viewer yourself. So many of the channels I used to follow completely changed their direction due to the kids growing up, it's hard cause I miss the old vid style. Anyway, I know this isn't the popular opinion. You are a strong woman and I do appreciate your real-ness. Wish you the best. :)
