Yes please make a grow light video! I only have a cheap Amazon one and have been wanting to get a better one, but I don't know which one to get! My poor plants suffer during the dark Canadian winter 😂
Those cheap amazon ones aren’t bad at all, just not really aesthetically pleasing lol. The barrina’s work very well in my opinion, and they are not expensive compared to mother or soltech. But if you want the best, it’s soltech all the way. They are super expensive, but a wonderful investment for your plants!

Ou the barina ones just went back in stock on Amazon. They're taller than the 32" Mother grow lights and are kinda like them. They stand up in a similar way and are very bright. But are so much cheaper
Hi Fern! I think the whole internet is still mourning that you don’t have your big Silver Sword 😭 I was wondering if you were going to regret not having that one now that you’re in your new home. A grow light video is a great idea. It is so hard to determine what is good or not, especially in the budget lights category.

This is so inspirational. Taking on a task like that is sometimes daunting but you went for it! And when you're done, there's such a sense of satisfaction. I've been itching to totally rearrange my plant room and I feel like winter is the perfect time to take on these tasks.

Love how the grow lights look.
Instead of the hook widen the light itself. Spread out the light. Rearrange that shelf to allow the lihh g t to reach the shorter plants. Maybe put them in the middle with the taller plants on the sides.

Looks great Fern. I want to get some pendent lights just not sure which one to go with. The name brand grow lights are all pricey so I feel like they would all work. Look forward to hearing what you have to say about all the lights you use.

Love the new light and the beautiful Anthuriums. Looks great. Still yet to get an Anthurium - thinking maybe a Clarinervium is the best place to start? I don’t have a cabinet so would have to be able to cope with normal room humidity. Thanks.
Your setup looks great! I also have 2 Rousseau lights and in my opinion I like them better than my Soltech. If Mother would make a pendant light that would be the ultimate game changer, they are still my fave grow light brand.

i’m still trying to find the best grow light my new place has very minimal sockets and the windows are in odd places. i love that light and it’s curved !
Looks super fab!! Did you find a way to clean off hard water marks off the glass shelves?
I used a multi surface cleaner and then a glass cleaner and there’s still some marks. It’s much better than it was though haha.
I have a hard time maturing my silver sword as well. It also such a struggle to get it to root into the moss pole. I am hoping patience and attention will pay off
I confirm that they don't root easily into moss poles. Mine finally has after 2 years. I even put her in a greenhouse twice over the summer. Not sure if that did it, but it finally has those larger leaves with lobes and is growing new leaves quickly. The stem really increased in size suddenly at the location of all the growth and larger leaves. I believe that means it finally attached to the pole. I have about 18" and will need to chop it. Hopefully that won't put it back to much. Thanks for listening to my rant though I am not Fern.
When you start plants over with a cutting, what do you do with the rest of the plant? I always struggle with that!

Wow you can use tap water,we have way too much chlorine, and stuff,i have to use api,stress coat ,added to my water ,they are doing great now
