My grandfather passed away 7 months ago from covid and he was around 350 pounds at 5’6 so he needed an oversized coffin that cost around 2,500 so how they thought 1,500 was enough to cover the cost of Tammy's coffin is beyond me.

Cemeteries would need to dig a bigger plot and might require you to buy two plots, cremation machines only come so big and it's dangerous to overstuff them. Plus a fat body is going to be harder to move, harder to embalm and harder to burry so everything will cost more. This being said its still important to tell the funeral home, they'll need to prepare for it.

The body would be autopsied by a medical examiner with hazmat suits to confirm the cause of death. Then it would be frozen and that almost certainly would kill anything on it. Regardless I would be working on it with full PPE and even a possible Hazmat suit but it's unlikely a family would want the body displayed at a the funeral if it had been considered a health risk. As for then cremating it, hospitals have access to giant furnaces to destroy medical waste safely so I'd say that's probably where it would end up. As for getting the ashes I'm honestly not sure how that world work in that situation. Hope I answered your question!

Usually only minor adjustments are needed by the time the funeral actually occurs. But its not like you can invest and get the return sent to you or anything like that.

Fun story: I work at the mall in Wellington and I got to meet one of the island boys. Unbeknownst to me, I had no idea who he was till I saw a crowd of kids follow him around. Apparently the one at the mall was the one who got his ass beat by his gf. When he walked past me, I tried selling him some bongs (I work at a smoke shop/kiosk) and he ended up getting some vapes and a stash jar for his girl. By the time I rang him up, he tried asking me to give him a discount or remove the taxes from his order. After I told him no, he pulled out a whole stack of what looked like 1s and a few 50s to make the stack look thick and all I could think was "why tf would he ask for a discount if he's got all this bread"

16:00 yes, its called a pre-arrangement, the money is put on a trust that's owned by the funeral business, this trust is invested so that the amount can continue to passively grow. It's done this way so that pre-arrangements done 10 years in advance will still cover funeral costs even after a long time, with inflation and all. Usually only minor adjustments are needed by the time the funeral actually occurs. But its not like you can invest and get the return sent to you or anything like that.
