Felt like yelling stop, it’s already so beautiful with just the outside finished. And then it got even better. Just Wow. I’m glad that wood decided not to just stay in the wood pile.
As much as I love your more esoteric, complicated designs, there IS something to be said about a big round bowl that just happens to be made out of something cool by a skilled hand. There's a... solidity to the narrative. Fantastic.

I made it less than 2 minutes in and fell in love with that piece of wood before you even started to describe it. African Mahogany is, in my opinion, just about the prettiest wood on the planet. I’ll add a comment on the finished piece below this after I watch the entire video.
Just finished watching. Just about speechless. WOW! The shape perfectly suits the wood, and I really love the way the grain has an almost holographic effect when you maneuver it in the lights. Another amazing job! I think this is one of your best. It just speaks to me.
@@geoffreywood5808 Thanks so much, the holographic effect in wood is called chatoyance and this piece looks like it is on fire! I was very lucky to be able to get it!
Everything you put into your hands comes out exquisitely. I love how you let the wood talk to you, and how you let it conduct you into the perfect bowl. I think this one is the favourite of all that you have made so far. The almost out-worldly wood, the sweet shape, the resin edge, the finish… I can’t express how much I would love to add that to my home.
