Picture frames are huge sellers. I love them.

Another great tutorial for frames and antiquing. Love the results! Who knew packing tape had a better use than packaging. 😉 Thank you!
Works so good and easy!! Thanks for watching 🌻

So glad I found this. Working on a frame project now using this method- aqua as a base with a walnut top coat! Can’t wait for the base to dry!

Thanks for watching 🌸 glad you are enjoying! Have fun with your projects
I’ve noticed you paint things black before you paint them white. That’s so neat!
Thanks for watching! Yes I love the dark colour underneath to show a bit. It make it look a bit more vintage 🌸

Love this technique- super easy and timely for my first new home - doing Farmhouse themes - beautiful job! thanks
You are so welcome!
I haven’t used packing tape but I use my stencil vinyl when making signs. Love the packing tape idea
Thanks for watching 🌸 it is such a easy technique
This is a technique I use a lot not only on frames, but almost all of my small projects because it works so well. Not to mention that it is a lot less messy and less likely to make your hand cramp up than sanding 🤣
Your botanical prints are perfect inside the frames...love them!
Thanks for watching ❤️ it works so great doesn’t it!! I like that there isn’t much of a mess.
Looks great! Excellent tutorial, love your style! Thanks!!
Thanks so much!
Looks great

I love your work🙏
Thank you so much 😀
I watched you do this on a previous video but it wasn’t a frame. I am a frame junkie! Starting to make trays with them. Will try this technique this weekend! Thanks again for another great tutorial!
Thanks for watching ❤️ I love making frames into trays. I have a stock pile I need to make some!! You have inspired me 🌸
@@OurUpcycledLife I love this idea! I haven't tried it myself yet, but am dying to! Please,.please share your process so I'll know what I'm doing before I start!!
Very nice I’m going to try the tape technique.
Thanks for watching ❤️
Very nice presentation, and nice idea. Many thanks.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed
Very nicely done. It's an interesting technique. I think I would have put the original images on side and start with blank pieces of wood/hardboard to put the new pictures on.
Thanks for watching ❤️ they were quite faded so wanted to repurpose them.
Lovely frames. On 'Our Green Acres' channel she uses a rubber scraper to carefully remove the paint and wax. That technique may work for you too on humid days.
Thanks for watching ❤️ I love her channel I will check it out!
I love your work!! I have so many craft thing's I've bought and accumulated but can't get started because I'm afraid they won't look good.. This technique of getting the distressed look, looks so much easier than other girl's.. With the black undercoat, does it have to be chalk paint? Thank you for your videos!! 🤔🤗
Thanks for watching! Just go for it ! Not all my projects ever turn out perfect. 🌸 you don’t need to use chalk paint , you can use any type
I just watched this video and your transfer video and am excited to try this with a few botanical pictures and frames. I want the picture to be on a thinner material that will fit into a frame. I am just wondering what materials you can transfer onto rather than wood?
Canvas glass metal! So many possibilities
Well this makes sense why my sanding didn’t work on some frames I did. I wish I had seen this first. I think I’m going to go back and start over!
Thanks for watching ❤️ this technique works amazing on frames . Have fun with it
Cool. I will try this one also. My salt on top of my paint didn't do anything. I think I didn't have the paint heavy enough. But I will try again.
Thanks for watching! I find the salt technique works best with a thick coat and coarse salt.
I'm getting ready to try this. Do you allow the paint to dry thoroughly between steps? Is first coat dried thoroughly before applying wax and second coat before using tape?
Yes, absolutely
Curious do you have any videos on using design space with using a cricut machine. Had mine almost a year still in the box.
No, unfortunately I don’t. I have a love-hate relationship with a cricut and I don’t use it very often
How would you go about do 3 colors? Would you do wax on both 1st and 2nd layers or just the 2nd?
Yes, you would apply wax on each colour and layer up
Is there a sealer that would be needed as a final coat? I worry about dust sticking and if humid days and heat will cause the finish to soften and/or get sticky.
You can see it with a poly acrylic sealer water-based that’s what I use and it works wellamzn.to/3svnsJ0
Do you have to use chalk paint in with the other paints you used?
It does work best with chalk paint
This is awesome! If I want my frame to be a dark brown, what color would you suggest I paint the base coat that will show through at the end? Thanks for this video!
Thanks for watching Kayla you can just experiment and see what works best for you I always love layering up lots of different colours to peek through
Would vaseline work just as well with this project?
Yes you could def use vaseline
I missed how long after you apply the white paint you wait to apply the tape. Do you let it dry completely or use the tape while still wet?
Thanks for watching 🌻 you let the paints Roy completely
What do you call this type of frames?
They are wooden frames that I found at the thrift store. Thanks for watching.

Wouldn't duct tape work too?
Duct tape is too sticky and will pull too much paint off
