5:36 - genius bit of cinematography there. well done.
I just used your finishing technique for my fishing rod holder, just rubbed the linseed oil onto the timber, i will give it a few hours then use beeswax as the final coating.
Fantastic! I use my own paste wax for finishing which is 1 part beeswax 2 parts linseed oil melted together
I like this frame. It is visually attractive. I worry that it will be strong enough since only glue was used to join the stiles and rails. Do the joints still seem strong enough to stand the test of time?
Hi thanks for your comment. Been nearly a year since I made it and its still holding fast π
Greetings,
Thank you for creating and sharing this video. Very enjoyable to watch, even more so inspirational. I have lots of pallets and a canvas print I want to frame. I will definitely borrow from your approach. Your wood treatment method is very much to my liking, coffee, BLO and then beeswax.
Last but not least, good editing skills and fun video to watch.
Regards,
Christos
Excellent...
Wood work is so interesting. Great video thank you.
Thank you! Cheers! Yes it is, i especially enjoy making stuff for free with wood that would otherwise end up as land fill π
