It gives me the warm-fuzzies to see artists appreciate each other's work. As soon as I saw the croissant poster I was scrolling down to see if you'd seen it.
Stunning frames! Any professional framer would be envious of your work. Thank you for including the artists; I'm eager to check out more of their work!
What a dedication to workmanship! Hats off. Thanks for making the video and sharing your ideas. Very inspiring. The jigs you used were so cool. I’ll check it out to see if you have any tips of making them.
For something that looks so deceptively simple the amount of work and precision needed is eye opening. I'll never look at a picture frame the same way ever again
Since I happen to have the same rockler sled, I tried your method of cutting the miters and it worked out well. That sled is very easy to true up against the blade with a plastic engineer’s square. The result was perfect, crisp joints. I don’t think I’ll need to build a dedicated picture frame sled after all.
Such a great video! However I have to admit the sled cut with a fence at 1:24 makes me very nervous about kickback! But over all a very beautiful video. Keep up the good work
Three years late I'm watching this for the first time and immediately I am stopping the video and checking the comments. This comment should be pinned at the top! Do not wedge your offcuts between the fence and the blade or you may suffer serious personal damage!
A lovely set of frames. I had never appreciate just what goes into a frame and how you can add some really great effects for a professional looking finish.
The amount of time that goes into creating a frame is incredible. Thanks for sharing this. It's so inspiring since we are building our own framing business at aaimba. It was a pleasure seeing this!
You gave me some good ideas for my frames. I have a bunch of marine art work to go up in my office. I am reclaiming wood from an old piano to build the frames with.
cool project. @1:20 please pull the side land back so it's behind the blade, this way you won't get kick back, see @1:23 the wood only has to twist very little so get caught between the blade and land, and if that happens then you’re in trouble. Very nice frames
I think that the slightly thicker splines look much nicer! Safety tip: don't use the mitre gauge and the fence at the same time: kickback is a real possibility (1:20)
These turned out absolutly beautiful. I am totally inspired to print out some of my photos and make my own frames to hang around the shop and house. Thank you for this video!
My frames I have made for years are almost identical, splines and all. I don’t do the rabbets quite as deep but I may try that next time I mill up some stock. The look is awesome without being distracting from the subject of the frame. A trick I have found on the splines is if they fit a bit tight is to hammer the spline like you are trying to flatten them. Flatten just enough where they slide easily into the slot. When you put the glue on the spline stock it will swell back up so install it without delay. I do this because the spline material is not always perfectly consistent in thickness even when I’m careful. You did a great job on the video. Thanks👍
I'm a museum photographer, I've had a lot of my own work framed, as well as handled and photographed a lot of framed works, and you've done a really nice job! They look fantastic.
I think the frames came out great and I like the thicker spline. My only two cents worth is acrylic really collects dust because of static and scratches easily from cleaning.
Agreed. It would be interesting to see how you keep your workshop space and living space separated, and stop the sawdust getting everywhere. Keep up the great work Cris 👍
Fantastic work, Cristiana! They turned out beautiful! 😃 You know, I used to paint when I was younger... But most of my paintings have a broken frame. 😕 So... I guess I'm going to try it out! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
They came out well, one suggestion when you frame items the art work/photo is only attached at the top not at the bottom, this is to allow movement if the humidity changes and there is fixing at four points the likely result will be buckling of the art work/photo.
Interesting idea using the India Ink. I used to check out some of those inks for fountain pens, and I believe some of them even have metal dust in them to give a metallic look. Have you ever considered using a metallic India ink? The metal powder may give some interesting detail if it gets absorbed in the grain. Worth a shot to try if you can get some!
The amount of work and care you put in making these frames is humbling 😮
I really appreciate it Alex! Merci
0:06 seeing someone's worthy poster getting showcased in a shiny new frame! 👌
It gives me the warm-fuzzies to see artists appreciate each other's work. As soon as I saw the croissant poster I was scrolling down to see if you'd seen it.
Awesome work
The artworks were cool to begin with, but with these frames, they look so sophisticated. Such a wonderful job Cristina!
Psst... it's Cristiana ;)
It may be one of my favorite things on youtube when you say "Boom!" . Thank you for the video!
BOOOOOOOM.... Me too 👏☺️
Its annoying when she doesn't say it
The coolest 'booom' on youtube 😎
This was absolutely flawless. The editing, the filming, the wood working, the assembling. I’m… blown away.
Stunning frames! Any professional framer would be envious of your work. Thank you for including the artists; I'm eager to check out more of their work!
You remain an awesome artist! So pristine and perfect. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you.
Hello friend
Your attention to detail is what sets you aside form others! Keep that up!

This was so satisfying to watch. The frames looked great but my fave are the stained finishes.
That walnut (?) was very beautiful. I love figured wood.
your whole aesthetic is just stunning, those indian ink frames are amazing.
😊
Wow! Your attention to detail is amazing !! Love the prints your chose and the frames turned out Fantastic !

I love the attention to detail. Beautiful execution.
These frames are so crisp, it’s very satisfying watching you finesse all the details. Especially while I am still struggling with making frames 😄
Such a great video! However I have to admit the sled cut with a fence at 1:24 makes me very nervous about kickback! But over all a very beautiful video. Keep up the good work
That's such a dangerous way to cut!
I had the same thought. If the fence had been any closer, someone would be eating a piece of wood. I reflexively ducked when I saw that!
Three years late I'm watching this for the first time and immediately I am stopping the video and checking the comments. This comment should be pinned at the top! Do not wedge your offcuts between the fence and the blade or you may suffer serious personal damage!
It's so calming watching woodwork, amazing studio space too.
A lovely set of frames. I had never appreciate just what goes into a frame and how you can add some really great effects for a professional looking finish.
I wish I had your skills! The craftsmanship is just superb and the way you film the whole process is just so satisfying.
Very simple and elegant design. They look so stylish.
Your attention to detail is superb.

All of this is VERY professional. Precise, thorough, clean, and attractive. Well done!
I am an amateur woodworker and recently moved to Portugal and am wondering where to source hardwood for furniture building. The frames are beautiful!
You gave me some good ideas for my frames. I have a bunch of marine art work to go up in my office. I am reclaiming wood from an old piano to build the frames with.
I literally clapped at the end of this video. Excellent craftswomanship!!!
My heart every time you shot the points directly into your fingers..... 😱
A very good alternativ for the glueing is a large rubberband i ve used it very often to do frames
I loved how much care and precision went into the frames. Beautiful

yes, the fence you mean, but It's a very good point. That part made me nervous.
I think that the slightly thicker splines look much nicer!
Safety tip: don't use the mitre gauge and the fence at the same time: kickback is a real possibility (1:20)
Was just about to type this.
you are a real master, im amazed by how delicate and smart the process is!
The ruler seams to be the perfect size for the cross cut sled, surprising it wasn't part of the kit. The frames look awesome!
These turned out absolutly beautiful. I am totally inspired to print out some of my photos and make my own frames to hang around the shop and house. Thank you for this video!
WOW, they look amazing, it must be a joy to look at these every day, even more so knowing you created them. Thanks for sharing
Excellent ideas and execution! Heading to my workshop to make picture frames with hand tools! :) Cheers!
😊😊😊
Kickback alert on 1:20!
Beautiful work, I get so chilled watching your projects.

You did a great job on the video. Thanks👍
It takes a real genius to make something this awesome, out of something simple as a picture frame!! you make everything the cool way.....
Awww graciaaaas :)
Super jealous of your workshop! Beautiful work!
Sigh, I'm so envious of that coloured MDF you have available.... nice work as always.
I discovered you by this video. I am clearly charmed. Well done! Thanks for your time and sharing ☺️

I love how these frames turned out!! You gave me some great tips!! Cheers
I'm a museum photographer, I've had a lot of my own work framed, as well as handled and photographed a lot of framed works, and you've done a really nice job! They look fantastic.
I really appreciate it! :) It was my first time really...I'm sure there is still much to learn!
I'm truly amazed with the outcome and the degree of precision. You are amazing
Always enjoy watching your videos and hope to eventually make something worth while!
Amazing! And great katz moses t-shirt! 😉
I would recommend a miter saw for your cuts like 1:21. That is asking for trouble.
this is not creating a frame, this is masterpiece of work
All so very elegant.
Your videos and editing are always top-notch!
Greetings from Italy!!!❤🇮🇹 Very good job
Wow!!! Amazing!!! Those are frames that I wanted for my projects! I bet those are expensive for Michael's services
Wow I really like that little sled for the splines!
WOW, THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO, I LOVE HANDMAIDEN THINGS🤗♥️
I think the frames came out great and I like the thicker spline. My only two cents worth is acrylic really collects dust because of static and scratches easily from cleaning.
Very thorough and well executed. Nice work!
Excellent tutorial for the rest of us!
It's all about having the right tools.. Looks nice
If you have a tiny apartment, where do you do your woodworking at? And where do you keep your woodworking tools at? I live in a tiny apartment
Enjoyed witnessing the professionalism.
@Baumgartner Restoration, come here for the archival adhesives!
Stunningly beautiful work!
I would like to order frames like these for my drawings! The craftmanship is top notch!
daaaaaaaamn, those black frames look sick!
How did you remove the splines that went in the inside of the frame? Like at 8:30, for example.
Ahhh I forgot to film that part. I removed those little bits with a chisel. It breaks easily since it’s a very small protrusion.

Beautiful work!
Wow they turned out great amazing work
Amazing work! I'm really happy I was able to find such a good content! Thank you for sharing!

Stunning work, love your shop.
Awesome !!! The artwork collection is super cool and the frames really make them stand out! Beautifully done ✅
Hi Cris !
Good job as always. I love the india ink finish. What a good idea. It looks great !
Thanks Sylvie! Yeah, I got impressed. And the final clear coat of Rubio made all the difference and a very slight sheen.
Simply astonishing work. Congrats and tks for sharing!
Beautiful job. They all look great. Envious of your setup!
Guau! So profesional! Using the appropriate tools in appropriate way!
Wow! You're so greaaattt!! I hope I can do it but maybe I'll stick to painting and just have the professionals do the framing. Nice work

Such a great wood work, so I love it.
Your work is exceptional, perfect, and beautiful. I love it.
We need an apartment tour. It should be done now and you’ve worked so hard on it.
Agreed. It would be interesting to see how you keep your workshop space and living space separated, and stop the sawdust getting everywhere. Keep up the great work Cris 👍
Fantastic work, Cristiana! They turned out beautiful! 😃
You know, I used to paint when I was younger... But most of my paintings have a broken frame. 😕
So... I guess I'm going to try it out! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you! Sure, your painting deserve a better frame ;)
Very nice frames. You made a serious safety mistake at the table saw at the beginning of the video.
You are Number one , tanks.
Amazing work, very professional! Congrats!
Superb craftsmanship (as always)
Excelente video. Espectacular. No me perdí ni un instante. Te felicito por tu excelente trabajo ⚒. 👍 👍
Just curious if the spline on the mdf is really necessary? Great video though.
They came out well, one suggestion when you frame items the art work/photo is only attached at the top not at the bottom, this is to allow movement if the humidity changes and there is fixing at four points the likely result will be buckling of the art work/photo.
I really like your work, you are an amazing woodworker.
Amazing frames! If I had a spare almost $800 I'd buy all of those Rockler tools haha. Those are amazing jigs and accessories!
Very nice. That was a great video and has pushed me into making a spline jig at last! Thank you.
Beautiful work!
Fantastic video, will save it for reference!
Mais um belo trabalho. Pergunta: a fita adesiva atrás das molduras é para evitar a entrada de poeira ou têm outra função?
É para selar sim e não entrar pó com o tempo. Tentar impedir alguma humidade também, bichos etc
