He seemed to be more of a "financier" of wholesome American family entertainment, rather than just your average Entrepreneur. He definitely possessed a special sense, that many successful Entrepreneurs have, of "knowing the times that you live in". That gift enabled him to achieve the level of success & the good, reputation that he seemed to have throughout many common American households of his day.

He was probably a typical boss/business owner during the times that he lived in. He was definitely a Capitalist; however his style of management was NOT democratic. It was autocratic (like a strict "I'm THE BOSS! What ever I say, goes PERIOD!" style of management.) This style of management can be seen as "fascist" or a "dictatorship" -not really something associated with Capitalism in a free democratic society. Karl Marx warned that Capitalism could allow that. Marx was right.

It's so interesting that so many people have so many different opinions about Disney. Because at the end those are just opinions. Nevertheless when the river thunders. I think people with power become insane after a while, especially if they don't quite understand the extent of that power. Shame that kids all over the world have had to endure the dark cloud behind all these films, because they undoubtfully bring the capitalistic agenda within, the political visions of those who create them. In anyway, it's just my opinion.
