You can increase extraction 300% by replacing the factory extractor with a Benelli extractor. My M3000 is my competition piece, and ever since I did the extractor swop all my extraction problems went away…..
@@zackdavis3986 very easy. I swapped mine, my cousins, all my buddies. Mainly used for waterfowl. Gotta get a benelli m2 extractor I believe. It’s been a while but there’s videos on RUclips on how to do it

The hollow stock can take on water so drill a hole in the lowest area and underside of the butt stock. Just a small hole to aid in water draining out of the butt stock. The Franchi Affinity is a good choice too.
Inertia driven guns prefer less lube and lighter viscosity lube like ballistol. May improve reliability for your stoeger M3000 and especially in those nasty waterfowl conditions
Never had a problem, put 50 heavy loads through it first , like the instructions clearly states and it will spit 28 gr loads no problems. Shot a 200 bird day between crows and pigeons , never let me down.
Hey just got into your channel today, sweet stuff. I’m a SBE3 guy and my friend is a steoger guy the m3000 to be exact. Our guns are fairly new so neither of us have had problems which we shouldn’t right now. But anyway you can see by the quality and internal design that the benelli has vs steoger it will probably make it last longer and run smoother. Plus no more benelli click on in the 3 vs the 3000, but that’s $1600 more. I see you got a franchi now. Looked at those internals are almost exact to SBE3 should be a very well performing and long lasting fun. Keep up the content.
Thanks for the comment! I was thinking about getting the SBE3, but I wasn't able to justify the price at this point in my life. The Franchi seems to awesome quality and it has been cycling really well so far this season. The M3000 is a good starter gun, but when you are hunting as much as I have been it was definitely time for the upgrade. One of the guys that hunts in our crew has the SBE3 and loves it and will never shoot anything other than it.
Ive been running mine for over 15yrs. Break it in 250 rds of heavy loads. Mine is sooo broke in it runs wet or dry. Clean 1x yr. Its now my salt water gun. Dont use the factory tubes. They will lock up in your barrel.
I just got the 3500 and bought 250 rds Hevi Shot/Heavy Hammer 3 inch loads for the break in. Didn't know the 3000 was that cheap I paid $720 for my 3500 with walnut. Everywhere is sold out of Stoegar anything where I'm at and was lucky to get what I got to say the least 🤷
Just bought this gun a couple weeks ago. Shot it less then 50 times. I gotta say it’s a very smooth shooting gun. But I’ve had a couple problems with it cycling. It will eject the shell but it will stick open. It’s done this about 4 times. Another thing I’ve had is when you go to shoot. It will just click and not fire shell. The firing pin won’t hit the primer. Other then that it’s a pretty decent gun. I don’t think I would buy it again though
I have noticed that when you oil the gun A TON it cycles better. I used remmington oil all over the spring and components, like WAY to much. The gun not firing sounds like the "benelli click" which means that the action isn't 100% closed. I am glad I have had the gun, it will be a great gun for new people that I bring hunting.
@@badoutdoors1099 yes I have noticed that after shooting some heavy loads though the gun and oiling it, it really have freed up. Actually I’m really starting to enjoy the gun quite a lot. It worked great for me this year deer and pheasant hunting, and I can’t wait for turkey hunting to open up in the spring.
Just break your stoeger m3000’s in with heavy load… and no, steel #3 1550fps is not “heavy enough” to break it in… trust me, it wouldnt cycle those or any light loads at first ofc…. I shot about 30, 2 3/4 slugs/buckshot through it, and it hasnt failed to cycle anything since…. I was SUPER worried at first that it wouldnt cycle, but the manual CLEARLY states to shoot 100-200 “heavy game loads” through it before trying to cycle light loads
You saying you have to pay to send it back, I bought one from Academy today and the guy told me if I ever had to send it to Stoeger to bring it to them and they'd ship it back for me
Theres a tactical stoger m3000 that I will soon buy. I believe it comes with an 18 '' barell. I was wondering if the barell could be changed. Not like custom changed were only a pro could do it, but something relatively moderate or basic. Suppose I want to go hunting one day, but don't want to buy a new shotgun. Could I Change the barell and put a longer, rifled(or smooth) one on? Thanks.
Good video I have the same gun and for the last couple seasons I have been having a issue were my gun misfires and its always the 1st shell.... super frustrating. I have tried many different brands of shells and shots too. Have you had this issue with either of the stoegers ypu have owned? Happy hunting man I'm from Wisconsin also 🦆🦆
I have not had the issue on the first shell, but it sounds like the “Benelli Click.” Sounds like the action isn’t fully engaged. Happy hunting to you also! Thanks for watching!
Are you letting the bolt slam home or easing it closed? Also are you possibly setting the gun down hard? This is the same issue that causes Benelli click. If the bolt is eased close, if it's set down kind of hard or if you accidentally hit the bolt while it's got a round chambered, it can knock the bolt out of battery just slightly enough that the gun goes click on the first shot because the firing pin isn't hitting the primer. Read up on Benelli click. It's been a problem with that design for awhile.
I don’t understand the gun having to be super clean for cycling being it is inertia. That’s is supposed to be a plus side of the inertia system is it cycles even when not super clean. Guy I know duck hunts with a Girsan that is even cheaper than this and loves it. My guns are mostly turkey hunting and they seem to work great so far but that’s a handful of shots a year
Not sure why I have had so many issues with this gun. Seems to be a common issues with this gun. My new Franchi is inertia and I haven't had any issues. This gun just seems to have more friction, which needs more oil to overcome.
Just curious as I'm looking for a semi-auto to get into for Hunting and Sporting on the cheap end (Wife Approved, with a kid on the way) Do you still have the M3000 and has it held up over time?
