33:37 adding on to this point, the human characters are why I’ll always stick up for Ebirah Horror of the Deep and Godzilla vs Gigan. Just really charming and likable Main casts that add a lot of heart to their respective movies
I remember being so excited for 2014 based on all those trailers that advertised a very different movie than we got. All I've ever wanted from this franchise was a movie that captured the horror of '54 with some modern VFX behind it. Hopefully, Minus One follows through on this vision.
I will admit, when I first saw this design by itself, I was a bit underwhelmed. It seemed like it was just borrowing elements from previous designs without forming an identity of its own. Seeing it in motion and the scale it is functioning at, changed my mind.
@TheGodzillaDudeOnRUclips Yes and no. While Shin Godzilla was a political callout like G54, it was less about nuclear horror and more about Japan's inefficient crisis management (in the wake of the tsunami)
I got the ship type wrong! The ships seen there are either one of these 3 Japanese destroyers that survive ww2 the Yukikaze, the Ushio and the Hibiki. Edit: in the one scene with Godzilla swimming under the Ship, that I think is actually a TypeD or C Escort a ship. It’s a bit smaller matches closer. But the Japanese destroyers I mentioned do still appear in the scene with two ships heading towards each other.
I despise the “Errm why are there humans in kaiju movies” Like if they want kaiju scenes, they should just go on YT or actually watch movies outside the kaiju genre to get an idea that human characters actually matter in a film
🤔The new Mechagodzilla was a ripp off of a 1982 ZOID Toy T-Rex version by Tomy toys..I was so disappointed how crappy the New Mechagodzilla was. They scripted him in as a supior monster to Godzilla was a joke. I seen a bundle of modern day style Mechagodzilla Art that looked so much better then the movie.
Yeah....I mean I liked the design myself but still I agree with you there was way better MG designs that could of been used there's one based on 2014 Godzilla and that one looks really good.
Japan and the US kiss and made out after WWII, I doubt this film is gonna be super Anti-American, besides Godzilla wouldn't have been much of a thing had it been for American distribution of the films Never take your freedoms for granted
the singular point 2 thing wasnt a made up rumor the writer of the show himself on twitter said due to contracts he cannot confirm or deny it which seemingly alludes to it, this is even stated on the actual singular point wiki page to say it was made up is false in of itself
