This amv came out 5 years ago only using clips from the first season, by now season 3 is nearly finished and despite that this amv is still the best AOT amv ever, I have yet to come across an edit that captures the atmosphere of AOT as well as this video does. I just love how the whole edit has a build up from despair and giving up to finding hope and moving forward, which is essentially what the characters face time and time again. This edit is sooooo good, props to the creator of it.
Edit: 2024, aot is finished and this is the best edit. Just came back for my yearly rewatch.
The lyrics also fit really well with the show, especially season 1.
The song is what really ties it together for me. Like the comment below says, they lyrics are a perfect match.

+Juliapplefreak I am inclined to agree. Of all the AoT AMVs I've seen (Which is a /lot/. It's like Attack on Titan is a popular anime or something) this is the one that truly /fits/ with the tone of courage and righteous anger in the face of sheer hopelessness that the AoT anime conveys with every fiber of it's being.
This AMV is on my top 20 list without question.

Not sure if this has already been said a million times, but whatever. This series has some truly amazing linework. The variation of the thickness of the lines is astonishing and very effectively used. From an artistic standpoint, not even taking into account the engaging content of the show, this is a masterpiece of animation, and I wish animated shows and movies were taken more seriously in america.

I hate that people think originality means it is comprised entirely of elements never done before. Millions of people are making art on earth simultaneously and have been for hundreds of years. If all you look at are the individual elements, nothing in existence would fit your description of original and your definition is flawed. Originality is in how it is constructed and presented. Attack on Titan has more originality than most anime I have seen released in the last few years.

Sure at first it might seem like an original idea but once you figure out the twist and what the titans truly are and why they exist AoT starts to feel far more generic than you originally thought
@@Saiyangoddess72 Plenty of shows have a great premise and poor execution. I wouldn't say that hurts the originality factor of it from outset though, only further seasons/episodes.
The transitions are so sudden yet so smooth, and they seem to blend into each other. It’s all so fast that it’s almost too fast, but it’s just slow enough so that you can catch glimpses of the characters, and when it slows down it’s a stark contrast and seems to make you pay attention more. i love this so goddamn much. also with the timing?????? that canon blast?? and Mikasa cutting annie’s fingers and her falling?? beautiful. And when Eren finally shifts, what we’ve all probably been waiting for? It all just demands your complete attention.
This is the BEST amv I’ve ever watched. The horror, war of survival, tension, beauty, action and emotions are all captured so well and the edit goes perfectly harmonic with the song. Euphoric!

J-Jeaze actually the editing isn't the best part of the AMV. I'm not saying I don't like it, but there are AMVs out there with way better and cleaner editing.Nonetheless this is a masterpiece, and I really like how music and visuals fit together so well.
J-Jeaze Close, but "Naruto AMV by 007Vegeta" is truly the best. No other AMV comes close to it and that's saying a lot considering how good this one is.

I discovered Attack on titan 9 years ago through this AMV. This edit still gives me chills. I can't help but reminisce the good old days of just wondering what lies beyond the walls and the terror of having to take back wall maria.
It's 2016 - 25 August today and I still watch this AMV and still think that this AMV is the best AMV of the entire humanity history. Not just because Attack On Titan is such an epic anime but because all those tragic and dramatic feelings at the beginning and then willing power of the humanity and people who sacrificed themselves for the glory of humanity and as final Eren's berserker mod, awesome !

I dont think so... I think its because its one of the first anime's that has people fighting actual monsters and not mecha. plus they had a killer first episode definatly got most people hooked, after seeing some one get eaten alive. most anime's don't do that lol.

Masterful editing, incredible song choice. Every beat, every note of the song fits the imagery like they were made for each other. The only AMV I have seen to this day that comes close to this level of editing (and very very slightly surpasses it) is The Witchtrip.

As far as I can tell, the manga hasn't proceeded far enough to warrant a second season. Unless you want one of those anime-only endings, which usually vary between bad and horrendous. Then again, there is the possibility of the second season only being around 12 episodes.

The power of the lyrics match perfectly with the background music that sounds very similar to the OST; along with the beautifully cut clips from the anime, this video describes SNK to a T in under 4 minutes. I'm not too much of a music conisoir, but Less Fricton write amazing songs that suit SNK very well and this is a fantastic example of that. Sh*t I'm crying now, this is art and should be a trailer for Attack on Titan.

Oh wow, this video is executed pretty well. Uses the intensity of the song and the over dramatized scenes to its advantage giving a pretty movie-trailer feel. Timed up with the lyrics and pace of the song as well.
