Fun Fact: This WHOLE opening was made by single person (his name is “Takashi Kojima”). He was the director, storyboarder, animation director, and was the only key animator. RESPECT TO HIM🙏

MAPPA definitely went WAY harder than what was necessary on this first episode and the opening and ending were no exception. The emotions portrayed in the OP and ED are incredible
As someone who came hard against mappa last half of this season bc of the cgi, I'll say so far it's a major improvement, idk what they did but the cgi doesn't look as jarring, it still doesn't have the same "feel" as the first 3 seasons but for what they are going for it's much better.

Yeah it was such an incredible series, I'd been watching it since I was 13, I kinda forgot about it for a while as I found the wait for s2 to be long but when I picked it back up, I think I enjoyed it even more that time.
