I worked at McDs for two weeks (about 15yrs ago) I was SCREAMED at in the drive thru window because of condensation on her drink cup, she told me to "wipe that shit off before handing it to me" I did, then I handed her two drinks, because you know I have two hands then she screamed at me again saying she had "Three F-ing drinks " before I even had the chance to hand over the 3rd drink. I quit 3 days later

The abuse all who face in customer service is beyond crazy. And you have to put up with it, be nice, or be fired. I put up with it for two years at Arby's and several more at other jobs in various sectors. It had gotten so bad during the last pandemic that a lot of places around here have a NO TOLERANCE for worker abuse. You can get banned for life for this kind of behavior. It doesn't stop some, but it has really cut back on it.

When I got my current job working front counter and drive thru window, my disability employment worker told me she would rather go back to working with prisoners than with customers in a fast food restaurant, thankfully all the angry customers I've encountered haven't been anywhere near as bad as anything in this video (so far)

The one who threatened me called me a "f@#%&^% b@#%%" and tried to grab me. And yet our boss always said, "The customer is always right." Our boss was a huge bully too and was a huge part of the problem. He ran a factory before he ran the Tim Hortons. He would yell and threaten his employees all of the time. He had a huge employee turnaround every month. He was constantly losing employees all of the time because they would quit to get away from him. It was a nightmare working there. One of my coworkers was a terrible person whom I rented from at the time. I was trying to work, and she was harassing me for the rent money. I told her I would get my cheque at the end of my shift. She would not take no for an answer until I finally snapped. She should have gotten in trouble for harassing me while I was trying to work. But no, stupid woman was allowed to harass me, and I was the one who got in trouble!! The whole workplace was absolutely toxic!! It was totally bs

So instead of arguing, I went outside and was taking cards and walking back up the window where he was parked and running cards and completed orders through the outside of the window. Dude got so mad he came in and started yelling at everyone.
So, they didn't want to pay $1.75, decided to throw a tantrum, and had to pay $20,000+ in damages. Yeah, I think I'll just pay the $1.75 or not get extra sauce. That person just works there. They didn't raise the price. No use getting upset with them.
If we're all being honest $1.75 for some extra sauce, that should be .50¢ at most, is ridiculous. Ridiculous enough to ransack a store? No. But more then enough to boycott them.

One should always show respect to those who prepare the meal you are about to eat. You never know what "extra" ingredients they might just put in, if you are rude and abusive. These people who work behind the counter don't earn half the wages they should.
It hurts to see someone become so angry while waiting for their food. Restaurant staff work incredibly hard, and if the wait becomes too much to bear, it would be kinder to everyone involved to simply leave and prepare a meal at home.

I think the definition of the term “Karen” is being purposely used incorrect to describe some of the people in this video.
One should always show respect to those who prepare the meal you are about to eat. You never know what "extra" ingredients they might just put in, if you are rude and abusive. These people who work behind the counter don't earn half the wages they should.
Hate these kind of people. Such a craving for attention is toxic for anybody's wellbeing

I was actually about to eat breakfast when one of these entries started playing. You know which one!
It hurts to see someone become so angry while waiting for their food. Restaurant staff work incredibly hard, and if the wait becomes too much to bear, it would be kinder to everyone involved to simply leave and prepare a meal at home.

Um...the Karen event at approx 13:20 in the video says the incident took place in 2023 but it shows CC news footage with a time stamp of 2013 on the footage. So either the information spoken is incorrect and it happened in 2013 not 2023 or you all are using footage from a different incident. Either way it should be corrected one way or the other.
