I think it's absolutely atrocious that our own Americans are at an alarming 18% homelessness rate...!! Even sadder is the fact that a large amount of those homeless people are actually US veterans...!! And of those homeless vets... MANY have mental illnesses...!! NO. You captains of industry shipped our high tech jobs overseas in the late 80's and early 90's. Please, I was one of the victims. And you're going to solve America's problem with H1B visas? By giving American high-tech jobs to migrants from India, mostly? How are we making America great, thereof? Rather, how about restarting CETA, the Comprehensive Education and Training Act of the 80's. That's what started me on my electronics/IT career 45 years ago. I'm sure Mr. Ramaswamy is all in for H1B, LOL, but we prefer that Americans be trained to fill the H1B jobs...
100% Agree. And bring Call Centers back to the USA. I emailed Chatted with Sam's Club last week, one time it was someone in Honduras, the other time Nicaragua. We have plenty of American's here who would love the chance to work from home and do Live Chats with customers. I mentioned this to the employees at Sam's Club who were totally unaware their Call Centers were in other countries, they shook their head in disbelief including a store manager. Same thing with a local non profit in my state Volunteers of America when I called them, I can't remember now what country it was but not in the USA., Anna In Ohio

My college tuition went up 7-fold, retroactively..... We paid, started school, then were told we had to pay more.... One semester, 60 class offerings were cut. And the Dean got a huge raise. This was under GWBush, he destroyed school funding. I lost out of my senior year of highschool because of budget cuts to the highschool we moved to in the middle of my junior year.

The H2-A visa program is for seasonal agricultural workers. It works very well.
lol The Migrant Farming program is unaffected by any current or future Immigration changes. That cavoite was put into Law 40 years ago with the Farm Aid legislation. We are no going to lose our Migrant workers..

There are tech savvy people here in the US. Why do we have to depend on foreign immigrants to employee our companies?. we would build our own factories and put people back to work. We could do our own thing here in this country and be the leader again.. but that sounds too much like Right right?
Honestly, directly from a systems engineer I know, he absolutely refuses to work for Musk or Bezos. They treat their hi-tech specialists as poorly as they treat the rest of their employees. There are PLENTY of qualified Americans well trained for these positions, but Musk and Bezos won't pay them enough to retain them. That's the bottom line of it.

I got my Job taken away from an H1B immigrant a long time ago and haven't been able to get any work in that field in over 10 years. Companies Don't have to pay H1B Healthcare or provide any benefits whatsoever. H1B SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED. This is a main reason for a lot of the Foreign hate. Not to mention the amount of stolen ideas from the Tech industry due to the H1B situation. All So the 1% can pay less for help. No Spine or Morals.
