Dear Maeve and all the Hollingers, I was diagnosed with Type I diabetes when I was twenty-nine. I'm now about to turn 70 years old, which means I've been dealing with this challenge for forty-one years! I want to tell you that -- like you -- I've never used diabetes as an excuse for why I can't do something. So, my life has been lived to the fullest despite how difficult it sometimes is to successfully manage my blood sugar. Keeping your Type I in good control is worth all the effort it takes. It will pay off! Enjoy your precious life, Brave Maeve! You are amazing, and you have the best of families!
they gave their kid diabetes with vaccines. vaccines cause diabetes and mmr does specifically. they recently took it off the warning label to cover it up lol. almost all type 1 diabetics are vaccine induced.
@@Hey.bekind777y Joe, that's an interesting theory, but when researching my family history, I found three relatives who lived before vaccines were available, and they all developed what we'd now call Type I diabetes. While I fervently wish there were an easy explanation for why people become Type I, I think the jury is still out as to the cause/causes of this malady.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in april 2008 (I was 8 years old at that time, about to turn 9 in July). I'm 18 now, which means I've been dealing with this bloody challenge for 10 years. Yes, it is hard, and I remember me and my parents were devastated when I got diagnosed. You sometimes sit and wonder "why me? Why did this happen to me?" but you learn to accept it. I'm hoping and wishing that there will be a cure out there some day, of course, but for now it's just a part of my everyday life. Best of wishes to you, Brave Maeve!
Yeah girl! I'm with you! I was diagnosed at a year old too! I've only had it a few more years than you. Sometimes things get rough and you wonder why this had to happen to you, but if you try hard and stay strong you can do anything. It's never held me back before, I just have to pay extra attention to my body. And I've got a CGM too. Those are a great help. You will have so much fun in public school too! Kids find it really interesting, and you can impress them with all your cool skills. They think it's really complicated but we're almost experts, aren't we. This is so inspiring. I have been a type 1 diabetic since December 2004 when I was 6, 13 years later I'm nearly 20 and I am doing well. I am on a Medtronic pump. I was using a CGM, but found that it didn't work for me. I heard that a guy named Ed Damiano out of Boston is one of the pioneers designing a bionic pancreas. Very cool! Another good resource is the book Elle and Coach by Stefany Shaheen. It is about a girl that gets a dog that will act like a cgm and can sense when a persons blood sugar is too low or too high. I had four cousins in the same family with diabetes. Three of them are dead now. They lived into their 40's. One of them is still alive but he is not healthy but still doing okay. It's not an easy life. It's a daily struggle. I'm so glad she was diagnosed quickly. Not all children with type 1 is that lucky. Lot of children get misdiagnosed and unfortunately die or end up with brain damage and impaired. This is a good story. Great parents.

Cici Chocoholic yeah, they have dogs trained to do that. But it's a bit complicated because they're not necessarily available to people in every state....or something like that. Don't quote me on that lol. And they can be a bit expensive. But I get what you mean. I've talked about getting one with my parents when I go off to college and am on my own.
Wow that’s ironic that I just came across this video bc I found out I have type 1 diabetes a few days ago and I’m 14 and it’s almost been a week and now all of a sudden I need to change a lot of things like taking shots 4 times a day🙄
I feel bad for my teacher and mom I was 5 years old in preschool or in kindergarten and so I had a seizure and it was like why cause we didn’t know I feel so bad for my teacher and my mom they where so scared then they like ur diabetic me like what them needle me needle omg I’m 12 now i manage it’s all bye my self for like a year now I check it when I wake up and before I sleep and eat before I go into hoem room and before any athletic activity’s and if I need one I’m on a pump
My brother has type one, he got it at 3 in 2004..... he was healthy and then he just got sick, my parents didn’t even notice but after it got really bad then they went to the hospital and then we found out...
Insulin is insanely expensive and beyond many peoples reach. People should not die in the “greatest” country in the world” because they cant afford medical treatment or medicine. What happens to this child and those like her when she is an adult? If many had it their way she would be unable to access care because she wouldnt be able to get insurance or afford treatment.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Hi my name is Jacqueline and I am 28 years old. I was born at 24 weeks early and I have had Type 1 Diabetes since birth. I have never been given anything and my life is very complicated. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I have multiple disabilities and several of the doctors lied to my mom. As far as what my mother was told the brain hemorrhage happened after birth and the stroke happened at age 2. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 When Ashley Wells was pregnant with me in 1994 she was not taken care of very well at all. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 1) Nausea 2) Vomiting 3) Excessive hunger 4) Excessive thirst 5) Frequent Urination 6) Bed Wetting Those are all symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes.

I am 11 years old and I got it a few months ago and I talked to the doctor and they said in 2 or 3 years the doctors will test in on humans but so fare it is working on other animals that suppose have diabites
What do you mean? Test what?
I’ve had type one diabetes since I was almost 3 and now I’m 13?
She was a normal happy healthy baby, until she *wasn't.*
Modern Medicine has a "vested interest" in you returning to your "Doctor" over and over again.
Heal Yourself in a matter of days from ALL Disease, Viruses, Infections, Pathogens, Allergies.
Read the Book: "The Water of Life" by John Armstrong, published in 1944.

I am Robert Proue from Schaumburg, IL, USA. Friend me on FB to learn about the miraculous healing power of the Human Body. I have no patent medicine to sell. I've researched the Human Body's ability to heal itself for 11 years.
Ask me any questions you have. I would put my knowledge and experience to HEAL any and all disease against any "Doctor" in the world. Doctors are not taught to heal anything.
Doctors are only taught to remove parts of your body and sell DRUGS which means REPEAT BUSINESS FOR LIFE.

U could get a dog trained in knowing when she will have another episode of low blood sugar or high blood sugar- does that make sense...?
Cici Chocoholic yeah, they have dogs trained to do that. But it's a bit complicated because they're not necessarily available to people in every state....or something like that. Don't quote me on that lol. And they can be a bit expensive. But I get what you mean. I've talked about getting one with my parents when I go off to college and am on my own.
I have type one too, I do swim team

Thanks for your useful information. I also want to share with people easy ways to reverse type 2 diabetes naturally.

Wow that’s ironic that I just came across this video bc I found out I have type 1 diabetes a few days ago and I’m 14 and it’s almost been a week and now all of a sudden I need to change a lot of things like taking shots 4 times a day🙄
And I went to the hospital thinking I had the flu but my blood sugar was 560 which is really high
"Mom testis my blood sugar"
When did you get diabetes
My brother has type one, he got it at 3 in 2004..... he was healthy and then he just got sick, my parents didn’t even notice but after it got really bad then they went to the hospital and then we found out...
Emma Spark that is how I found out I had it I felt really sick and went to the hospital and I had it but I recently got it at 14
Fa Li im so sorry.

Hi my name is Jacqueline and I am 28 years old. I was born at 24 weeks early and I have had Type 1 Diabetes since birth. I have never been given anything and my life is very complicated.

I have multiple disabilities and several of the doctors lied to my mom. As far as what my mother was told the brain hemorrhage happened after birth and the stroke happened at age 2.
