I love your videos man! I got a vorteks also. I upgraded to the proline shocks. Just in case anyone is wondering, they don’t fit well, I had to put spacers at the bottom of each shock because it hits the a-arm pretty bad when you screw them in tight and it flexes the springs
@@watsnu2day did you have to do any modifications to the motor mount to fit the motor? I was wondering if you think the 4274 hobbywing motor will fit. It’s from the max8 esc and motor combo
Nice informational video! I can say that the center drive shaft bearing makes a huge difference on vibrations and wobbling on high speeds. It comes with the longer wheelbase cars like you mentioned the senton 3s and typhon 3s, except if it's a mega.
I love your build. I'm so close to getting my vorteks out of layaway. And looks like this is exactly what I want with all the red aluminum parts. Subbed ya too. 🤘
I know your video is kinda old but I'm really diggin all these upgrades. Literally just got my vorteks and I'd like to address the bumper situation. Do I need to purchase the senton front chassis plate as well? Or does it just bolt right up to the vorteks front plate?
The shock absorbers you can get off EBay. Called big bore shocks and it have a review of them in one of my videos. The bumper is off a Senton 3s that I. Bought from Jennysrc.com, but since the Senton is discontinued now from arrma. Jenny’s doesn’t have a listing. anymore for Sentons. They facebook forums/classifieds or eBay for used or take off parts for cheap. Good luck!!
I changed my esc too. I put some GRPs on it and I speed run it on 6s and got it to 89 mph on a 20t pinion b4 it wheelies. It’s not that aerodynamic so I’ll be adding a outcast wing to the front to act as a splitter. The downforce will keep it down.
I've purchased 2 vorteks, so far replaced both shocks front and rear, both servos junk otb, both on new controllers and 1 replaced esc. Put bigger red aluminum shocks on it and no problem so far. I do like the typhon arm upgrade and may have to try it with the hub upgrade next.
no drilling required. There is a slot already on the chassis to slide the support on. You need to take the center driveshaft out first, then put the center brace on, then slide the driveshaft with the bearing into place after. easy...
My Vorteks is around $800 now. Base is affordable, but so very boring😂 I can't leave anything alone so I spend a ton on unnecessary parts. Love my new green/blue custom Vorteks along with my Mojave Heavy Metal stadium and Losi Baja Rey desert truck❤
Picked up the Vorteks in green/blue for $329 and then went online .. ordered🤑 more in parts then i paid for the truck😱🙄 Carbon fiber brace and links, aluminum suspension, servo, gears, shocks, fans, lights, braces, cases etc❤😅
Hey Bro been watching your videos and they are very informative and useful. Just a questions. When you replaced the vorteks bumoer with the Senton bumper did you also switch to a Senton Front skid or just used the stock Vorteks one? Cheers! Keep up the great work!
@@watsnu2day so I tried this bumper upgrade on my vorteks. It does not directly fit. In your video where the bumper hinges to the skid plate, the hinge sticks out more and at a slightly different angle than that of the vorteks. I think I can chenge out the skid plate to make it work as the one in your video looks like the Senton, not the vorteks.
Love your rig! I was wondering, did you have to change drive shafts as well when you added the typhon links and A arms? Also, do you have a link to those Links? They are awesome!
Best place for prices is by EBay. I reckon it’ll be cheaper than I got it because I live in Hawaii and have to pay for shipping. However, if you can, I always suggest you buy it at your local hobby shop. You’ll support small business and your community and you can start forging a relationship with workers there if you ever have questions and problems. Good luck. For Arrma stock parts, I look on JennyRC which are takeoffs and resold. You save on cost vs brand new.
@watsnu2day thank you for that suggestion. I've watched your videos about 4 or 5 times now and can't seem to make up my mind on if I want to keep putting money into the vortek or go with like a outcast or kraton 4s
I used a piece of $3 1/4” round aluminum stock and two M3 screws with nylon nuts to create a center brace.
Great video bro, some great information. That Vorteks is lookin clean and pristine!
Thank you!! I appreciate the compliment and look forward to making more videos!
Awesome video ! Thank You ! Please do more !
I think i just made it to the 500 th subber
Congrats on 500
Thank you!
I took your advice on the Protek fan! It s solid. Thanx!
Can you post links to all the stuff u using I’m tryna upgrade
Please give links to what you are using. It saves a TON of time from your viewers having to hunt for what you're talking about. Great video.
Whats the link??..i need to buy too
@@Khairioo That's why I am asking for links. None are given.

Thanks Vuong!! I hope those Proline shocks still work out for you. Those cost some bucks....

Not sure on the hobbywing. The Mojave motor fit on fine.
Hello! Pls can u tell me how excactly is called the Front Bumper or were u found it? Thx Maik
What size are the suspension arms so the shocks can fit?

Great video 👍👍 Do you happen to have the part number for that front bumper ?
It's just the stock.senton 3s bumper.so its.on the arrma website or perhaps eBay, Jenny's rc parts, etc. I don't have it off hand, sorry
AR320405
I ordered the typhon links and arms but the cvd slider axles I just spent 100 bucks on are to short which ones did you use

I had the same problem with wheelies after 3/4 throttle!
Great information in this video. Can you let me know what rc work stand you are using in this video? or provide a link? thanks
I forgot the name, but it cost me like $30 at my lhs.
Do you have link to the red chassis brace.

Are those RCAWD shocks good quality? I’m always skeptical of eBay shocks.
Big company, very nice parts. I've used on my Mojave and Baja rey❤
Kanonvideo men är väl för fin att köra med, 😊😊😊
Can u do a video on how u instal the center driveshaft high speed support because I order one to put one in..so I have to drill a hole to install it?

Great job on the truck! I was wondering....the Senton front bumper, was it a direct bolt on to the Vorteks? Or did you have to modify it?
It was a direct bolt on. I put the aenton front bumper on my 3s typhon as well.
great video, but. by the time I do all these upgrade my the vortex's would be around 600-700 that arrma kraton 6s exp price

What is the mount you're servicing it on?
I got it at my local hobby shop . I forgot the name , sorry
On the big bore shocks what kind of weight oil did u use? I got some too..I put some 35W..

Any chance someone can point me in the direction of ordering these parts

you can make your own fan
Most of this stuff is pretty much unnecessary, save the money and just get a better RTR
Which other RTR would you recommend?
these shocks are not the same dimensions as stalk ones, the rears are to short and the front too long,
nevermind
Everything is really great everything else you did not put all the links where to buy😊
You didn't put the links to the parts so we can buy it brother
