  • The CTR had reached 75000 miles on the original set of spark plugs, and although they are rated for 100000 miles I thought it was time to replace them. Would they come out without issues after 15 years in the engine?
A step by step guide, Enjoy the video.

That is madness having those spark plugs for so long.

When you think we used to replace them even 10000 miles, and they were worn, these new iridium plugs are amazing, I won't think twice about letting them go to 100,000 miles seeing how little they were worn. Thanks Vicky for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Dude you make two major mistakes ... And therefore the video is not visible ... 1) The electrode gap didn't measure it .... How do you know it's right ?? .... 2) The spark plugs are sensitive component, and we always tighten them with a special torque wrench at the torque specified by the manufacturer ..... It is also advisable to use a little special lubricant on the spark plugs when mounting .... Your movements at least do not show love because you do...

NGK Do not recommend that you check preset iridium plugs before fitting, as inserting feeler gauges into the gap will damage the tip, and not everyone has a torque wrench, if you listen to the comments I make when fitting I give a viable alternative.but I respect your opinion, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Torque wrenches were invented in the USA during the '40s for technically inexperienced women, who were building aircraft in factories. A well experienced mechanic should be able to determine the adequate amount of torque just by feeling it. Trust me, it will all be in your hands after you snapped a couple of bolts but that's part of the learning curve 😁
