Downright violent shuffle.
Appreciate it for the display of sleeve quality, but man does it make me pucker LOL
guess it is official, instead of Deckmaster rather Sleavemaster
heh
Name change coming soon!
Those sleeves look nice..i buy whats available at lgs. Mostly drago shieldo But katana feel better when i check out someones deck...better pebbling and not floppy on one end..tbh as they go up in price dragos need to be better about qc
It's not a riffle shuffle or a rifle shuffle, it's a bridge. The way we shuffle in Magic is more akin to what is known as a faro shuffle.
Naw the normal shuffle where you're shoving half the deck into the other half via top or bottom corner is close to the faro. However he is in fact also riffle shuffling, as the magic community calls it, otherwise called the bridge coined by magicians and/or card game dealers whoever the heck invented it first.
@@CurseOfBoggart A bridge is not a shuffle at all. It does nothing to randomise the deck, it's a type of flourish. If the magic community call it a riffle shuffle they are just plain wrong. And thanks for just saying exactly what I said about the faro shuffle.
@@Adam-bk9tt I think you're misunderstanding the language here. You can faro shuffle without doing a bridge. You can also faro shuffle with doing a bridge. That's common referred to as the riffle shuffle. Whether it's objectively correct or not is beside the point, you're just being an arrogant elitist or upholding some sworn oath to Meriam-Webster for some unknown reason.
@@CurseOfBoggart I'm not misunderstanding anything. I learned various shuffling techniques, flourishes, cuts and chip tricks as I played a lot of poker before getting into MTG. What you are describing is not a riffle shuffle that is all. You are free to continue calling it such just as you are free to call a cow a horse, you are wrong but have a good day.
@@Adam-bk9tt lmao prolly got a ton of friends in that magic local with that attitude
I've had the same problems with Katana and Shield. Bottoms splitting and odd color lots.
But it is a mass produced item; so some variance is expected.
love katana, but dragon shield dual matte have really work wonders. Sadly quality over price katana is a bit cheaper for an equally nice feeling, but the variety in color to my many random fun decks is better achieve with dragons. (and while im writing this im deciding whether to get blue or clear sleeves from katana lol)
Thanks for sharing! I'll try the dual matte sleeves👍
Dragon shields blow dck they split if you look at them wrong
I buyed dragon shield Sleeves and now you make this Video XD
bought*
* bought
@@xkamina2667 thx
Lol Dragon Shield can be fine if you don't shuffle too hard
👍👍
I don't know where you've been getting your Dragon Shields from, but I encountered no such issues with any recent sleeves.
While I get that its your experience, its not mine. If you're happy with Katanas, then great for you. I found them to be too shallow and the cards always ended up sticking out here and there. Also they get dirty QUICK. Not from actual dirt, but just from the natural oil secreted from hands. I can't keep washing mu hands every 15 min to keep the sleeves clean.
I picked up Katana sleeves a few months back, and I'm working on switching all my non-commander decks to them. They're good enough that I don't feel like I have to double sleeve my cards anymore.😂
Very nice! I don't double sleeve anymore so they are perfect👌
Katanas are the best. I got them for my most expensive decks.
Would be a game changer if they made Katanas with a matte finish ok the front as well.
Almost all sleeves are too big, I like KMC Perfect Hard because they are the perfect size, the problem is they don't have any colors! It would be nice if more companies made smaller sleeves and also where there is a color or picture on the back, but when you look at the front, it is black so it blends in with the border of the card.
Just bought my first katana sleeves online, but it’s yet to arrive. I’ve always used Dragon Shield (still haven’t had any split issues with them) so I’m kinda curious to see how it compares.
Cool! Let me know what you think
I RALLY like the feel of katana sleaves, but man their color selections sucks in comparison to dragon shields.
True
The definition of function over form.
True. Dragon Shield colors are better and look cooler, but the quality sucks. Katana sleeves are better quality, by far. They need better colors though. A very boring coloring, but best quality.
So no more Ultra PRO sleeves? You mentioned them as being your favorite in Classic vs Matte Dragon Shield video.
ultra poop
Me, seeing the suffle for the first few 10 second: This is fine, why other fan call this maniac?
(Start riffle shuffle)
Me: Oh I get it now.
Would you mind double sleeving a deck or just some cards with katanas?
Ive only bought Katanas once and loved everything about them except how hard it was to double sleeve.
If you have the means to test if its true I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks for the videos :D
Yes I could do that! However, I always single sleeve my decks
Some batches of katanas might be too tight to fit top loading inner sleeves. Green and orange in particular would only take side loading for me and still took a lot of force to get in. Still love em but it's a little annoying.
Yes
I agree!
Where do you buy from? I'm tempted to sleeve my cube with them but dropping $110 on sleeves kindda sucks lol.
I bought mine at the Regional Championship. Sometimes local stores have them but otherwise on Ebay or Amazon
im sorry im completly new with card games - so in 2024 what do you recommend Dragon Shield Protector - Matte Apple Green or Ultimate Guard Katana ?
I've used dragon shield for years but I shuffled a friend's deck that was sleeved in katanas the other day. I'm switching brands
Those sleeves after my video
I can tell you from personal experience that Dragon Shield are not reliable. I can't speak for in the past, but I got some recently and some of the sleeves broke the very first time I shuffled them
The new batches are not reliable but they were 2 years ago or so
i wont lie
not trying to be rude in any ways btw
you do shuffle rally hard but that only proves the durability of dragon shield and ultimate guard katana sleeves

Hope you enjoy it!
