All of your makes are great. It makes sense to me to have the placket under the front ties. I always thought if I were to make a tie front garment it would be something to add in. Little bags thr size of a phone are so practical and your version is also pretty. Oh weather, it is crazy isn't it?! We Canadians experience some crazy weather. Saturday I thought I was going to melt when I went outside. Yesterday, while out walking the dogs, long pants, sweatshirt, and windbreaker. Today back to shorts and tshirts. I look forward to seeing what else you sew over the summer.
Thanks jennett! Yes the placket detail is really great! Hopefully your weather will stabilise. But if you want to send some sunshine over here that would be lovely ☺️
As per usual, you have knocked it out of the park Rachael. Love all your makes and will be buying the PJs pattern for some littles in the family. I love the style of the Fleur, but my shape won’t facilitate this style 🙄. Xx
Fabulous makes! Summery, fruity, fun! I especially fell in love with your cuddle cardigan/sweater. I had to go immediately and get the pattern. They should use your pictures on their site! Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.
Oh Rachael that cardigan is super, I love the red shoulder strip ❤ That's a great size of Luna bag, perfect for just a phone and keys. Who needs to carry a purse these days?! I love that dress on you, keep the faith it's July now so hopefully Summer will start soon 😂. Thanks so much for sharing all your fruity makes xx
You are so productive Rachael. Your fleur dress is a real stunner. I hope you get to wear it in the sunshine very soon. Love the details on the cardigan, that's very unusual. Great blog as always and great makes too.
You get so much sewing completed and I love your results. I’m making a Charlie caftan at the moment but I haven’t entered sew fruity. I wanted to but then didn’t really have anything suitable for what I wanted to make at the moment. Also I’m always behind with my plans! 😊
I’m a California girl living in The Netherlands. We share your rubbish weather. 😂 It’s dreadful considering tomorrow is July. Love your makes. The cardigan is a real standout. And the boy’s pajamas are adorable.
I love your makes !!! And I do love the Fleur ! From the beginning I've liked the placket... But I'm glad you spoke about the rest of the construction too ! I wonder if we emailed Fabric Godmother if they would tell us the cutting dimensions for the skirt ?? I did that recently with another company to save me from printing lots and lots of pages and they responded quickly to help !! Thanks again for sharing !
Thanks so much! The Fleur is amazing! That’s actually a good idea to email them! I made a size 10 so could let you know those dimensions if that would help?
Lovely makes, your Fleur dress is fabulous 😊 Thank you for top tips on how to tie a bow, I’m wearing a dress with a tie on each waist seam and followed your instructions - bingo, neat bows! 👌
Yes, thank you for the bow tutorial, I’ve always wondered how the stores made such perfect bows on their garments. I’ll have to watch it a few more times to get it to stick! I also love the cuddle cardigan/ sweater. I don’t recall seeing it before. Very cool style lines! 🤩. Your fruity makes are all great.
Your dress is so pretty and I really like your 'oranges' fabric!!! The weather here in France is not great either. We have had a few very hot (too hot!) days where I just hide indoors, then lots of rubbishy ones, so it seems to be the theme this summer.
Fabulous makes Rachael. I love your cardigan the most (no suprise as cherry fabrics are my fav) ❤ Pj for boys are soo cute Dress looks fab on you Weather is horrible. We had to put heating on today. In my 18 years I Ireland, I never had to put the heating on in July! 😭 Hopefully, it will get better. I am tempted to start sewing for atumn 😅
Oh wow I love your fruity makes, the boys PJ's and the bag are so cute, the cardigan is brilliant and the oranges dress is so gorgeous, I think that will be one for my list xx
What a delightful dress! You pull off that style beautifully! And I love that you know how to do the bow perfectly as well. No detail left unattended when you’re around! 👍 excellent! I have the Porter Dress from Style Arc?..also with ties. The ties are larger and it adds a slightly different look. I wonder how that would look with the Fleur :) I agree with your skirt measurement comment. All we need is the measurement, not a pattern piece! The Ether Dress shoes it that way..mind you.. it took me a few minutes to figure out why there was no skirt pattern piece! 🤦♀️ Love the jammies 💙 so cute!! A tip from Brindle and Twig… cut things like the sleeves single layer to add more randomness to the print layout. They even suggest cutting them in opposite directions. I haven’t tried it yet…but it sounds like it makes sense ☺️ Have a super week!
Thank you so much!!! I do love a bow!!! 🎀 The porter is gorgeous too!! That’s such a clever idea about the sleeve. Very thought of that! Thanks for the tip and as always for watching ❤️
Well done 👍 beautiful makes as always. Love the boys’ pjs - perfect for the summer. So nice to have the stripe on the back of the cardigan and I love the colour and design. Always a good thing to try a new style and the dress looks great on you. The bag will be so useful and go well with so many things inc your cardigan. You’ve worked so hard so now it’s time to enjoy 🎉❤😊
Hello from Perth Western Australia. I love your videos. Your fruity makes are great the dress is gorgeous. I have just bought the cross body cardigan. It’s winter here so will be great. Did you see Style Arc have a dress similar to yours it’s a bit of a capsule pattern. Happy sewing.
My husband and I just returned from a trip to Ireland and Scotland. Your country is so beautiful. We were so fortunate to have warm, fairly dry weather for the 12 days we were there. Dublin was a zoo. Taylor Swift was in concert, and there was a very special Irish football tournament on. It was wall to wall people but we enjoyed it. Love the Fluer dress you have on. And the cardigan. Do you think the cardigan is a lot like the Marlo? I'll have to look at the pattern. Suzanne
Hi Suzanne! I’m glad you had a good time in Ireland! Sounds like you arrived at a very busy time for the city alright!! The marlo is very oversized. I size down about 3 sizes when I make it. The cuddle cardigan is much more true to size. The cuddle has more pocket and length versions too and of course you have the nice V at the back. It also comes as a sweater. So it’s probably more versatile than the marlo if that makes sense! Hope that helps
Hope you get some sunshine to wear your beautiful new dress! It’s been very changeable here too, some days I am changing my outfit two or three times because I never seem to get it right 😂
Rachel, you are quite fruity today ; ) The Fleur looks so summery. Sorry it's too cold in Ireland to wear it today. On the other side of the "pond" we are broiling in DC and it's like a swamp outside. I tried to walk at 7am and it was too hot and humid. I melted after a mile and walked straight home and into the shower! I'm still focused on sewing pants and having 3 pairs that fit really well. The Arden are my favorite because they have a nice big pocket that is anchored into the waistband. I'm moving on to a gray sweater to match the gray slacks and I hope to squeeze in a couple of tops before vacation in Canada in mid-August. Have a great week!-Claudia
😂😂 very fruity! Thanks Claudia! That must be seriously hot weather!!! I’d like something in the middle 😂 hope your pants are going well! The Arden is so great!!! Ooh lovely to have a holiday to look forward to!
Hi Noeleen! I should have linked that! Thanks for the prompt.. it’s here www.misusu.co/products/folded-x-mas-tree-tutorial It’s for children but I just made the biggest size and slotted it into a Billie jumper. I talk about it in my Festive Friday Sews video last year , the 15th December. It’s such a fun pattern!
Love your fruity makes Rachael. Particularly your Fleur dress. It looks very summery. Hope the weather improves soon 😊
Thanks so much Dan! Oh I do too! I’d love to wear all the floaty summer dresses!!
Great makes!!!❤
Thanks karol!

That’s very kind Anne, thank you! The pj pattern is so good! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve used it !

Thanks carole! Very happy with all my lovely makes, and really really would love some proper summer weather? Can you send some over??
@@TheFrenchSeams_vlog sorry Rachael, no Summer weather over here to send you! I think I'm going to start sewing Autumn stuff 🤣

Hi Jackie! So I’m wearing the Fleur dress. I didn’t get the Nell. I would highly recommend the Fleur if you wanted to buy it! Thanks for watching!

Let’s hope the weather perks up soon!!
I think I’m going to buy the Nell and the Fleur and try them both.
