You are a lovely mum, Rachael. Your boys are so lucky to have such a talented mummy. Great jumpsuit and looks very comfy too. But I'm majorly impressed with your jeans...you really have got the bug now. They look fabulous...you won't stop btw lol 😊
Oh thank you Annette! I really love making stuff for my little boys 🥰🥰 I have got such the jeans bug! It’s so much fun!!!!!! Thanks so much for watching g
In a world full of sad news, it is so lovely to switch on your videos and catch up with your week. You are so bubbly and upbeat. I really love seeing your makes and I'm always amazed at what you get done in a week. Keep up the good work and thankyou. Jan x
Ah Jan, that’s so kind thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoy these vlogs, I absolutely love making them: thank you so much for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!
Hi Rachael. You know how to make a classy outfit, that jumpsuit is so elegant. Absolutely love the flared jeans on you. I'm so glad the trend for skinny jeans is fading out although we still need some to go into our long boots 😂. Those scrappy clothes are awesome, I need to show 'my' boys and see if they want some 👏🏼. As always, a fabulous vlog ❤
Oh thank you Carole! I’m loving my flares… despite them being soaked today in a downpour ☔️ occupational hazzard! I think the scrappy outfit would be perfect for your boys! And think of your jersey scraps 😂😂 Have a lovely week xx
Sewing a pair of Jean's for my Hubby this weekend, thank you for keeping me company whilst I cut the fabric (sooo many pieces !!) xxx Cilou from France
WOW, you’ve had a great sewing week, the jumpsuit and jeans are amazing, also your scrappy pants and top for your boy are so good and a great use of scraps. Look forward to your batwings.
Love the jumpsuit! I can’t believe you made that AND a pair of jeans this week. You are amazing!! The jeans do look fabulous. Can’t wait to see the bat hoodies!!
Ah Eileen! Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy the vlogs, I love making them and it makes me so happy when people enjoy them! Thank you so much for watching and for such a lovely comment!
Love your jumpsuit and jeans. ❤ Had to laugh when you talked about your son's crazy dress up day. Here in the US wearing a ball cap backwards is pretty normal.😅
We were facing into the baseball cap.. which isn’t terribly off the wall at all is it 😂😂😂 Very glad he likes the scrappy tracksuit instead 😂🤍 Thanks for watching !
Beautiful makes - great jeans with just the right amount of flare with your amendments and what a gorgeous jumpsuit. I’ve made that hoodie for my grandson and agree it’s a great pattern. Have just made a Patina from a lovely cotton IKEA duvet cover (a giveaway bargain as it had a couple of little holes in and I’ve only used 1 side of it so far) and am about to make a Hovea jacket from an ex-display quilted duvet cover (Dunelm) - both of these were intended to be toiles but I think I’ll probably wear them anyway, which is a win I feel. Knitting and stitching show on Friday - can’t wait! Happy Sewing and thanks for sharing ❤ xx
The subsidy much sue! So happy with my makes! It’s such a great hoodie pattern isn’t it! Wow sounds you’re doing great upcycling sewing. Have a wonderful time at the K&S! It should be such a good show
Great job on the jeans Rachael. And your jumpsuit is amazing. Looks really comfortable too. Your boys will have a blast with their bat hoodies. I made my boys capes one year (black on one side and red on the other). I can't remember who they were supposed be but they used those cape when they were playing for years. My daughter and her friend would tie them together around their waists as a long skirt. I defiantly got my money's worth out of them. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
Thanks so much carol! Oooh those capes sound amazing!!! And they’ve lived on for dress up which I love! Have a great week and thanks so much for watching!
Those jeans fit perfectly. Great job! Very professional. I have one of those large Cricuts (Explore Air 2) and enjoy working with it making layered pictures (which I make for gifts). Very fun, unfortunately, I have acquired a 2' high stack of 12" x 12" cardstock. So, stash of fabric and stash of cardstock and all the paraphernalia that goes with it! The Halloween costumes are perfect, especially if it's chilly that night. Plus, bonus, they can wear just the hoodies afterwards! Fun!
Thanks so much Cynthia! Oooh you have a super fancy cricut!! That sounds like the most marvellous stash of crafty bits! Love it. I hope the boys love the hoodies! I’m really enjoying making them!
Hi Rachael, really like the jeans! So well fitting on you so well done you! Can you tell me what pattern you use for the children’s pyjamas please as I want to sew some for my 5 year old and 9 year old twins for Christmas. Also, thank you for the Scottish Frocktails details - I had a whale of a time last Saturday evening and enjoyed seeing all the amazing and individual makes! I made a cotton mix fabric waistcoat from remnants and a blouse in cream silky fabric underneath with contrasting Duchess satin trousers. I loved it all and definately am hoping to book again for next year! Thanks again x
Hi alexis! Thanks so much! Very happy with my makes this week!! Yes! The pyjama pattern is here Kids classic pajamas Sewing Pattern PDF, kids nightwear pattern PDF, kids pajamas, sewing patterns pdf by MadeByMePatterns on Etsy It’s such a great pattern! I use it all the time and it makes the perfect jumper pattern too and I’ve hacked it into shorts and T-shirts too!! I’m so delighted you enjoyed Frocktails!!!! That’s just wonderful! That outfit sounds spectacular!!! It looked like the most fabulous night! You’re very welcome! And thanks for watching
Lovely vlog as always. Fab makes. Did you alter the neck on your Agnes, it kinda looks boatneck. I love the Agnes pattern, as can be made for Summer and winter wardrobe.
Hi Anne. So I’m wearing the Agnes underneath so you can’t really see it. I didn’t make any alterations to it. What I’m wearing with the boatneck is the blue sweatshirt, it’s the Jennifer Lauren Gable top. Thanks so much for watching
Love your vlogs Rachael, and another pair of fabulous jeans! Like you I’m into making my own jeans cos I can’t find RTW that fit me as I really want. It’s just sometimes difficult to find the correct denim when buying online. I usually use the legato jeans from Love Notions and have been very pleased with them. I now want to make a pair of pull on jeans but the pattern recommends a denim of about 10oz weight and 25% stretch. The denim you’ve used looks like it might work for me. Can you tell me which denim on Rainbow fabrics (they have so many choices!) you used and whether you think it suits my requirements please? Look forward to your next vlog, thank you,❤
Hi Kay! Thanks so much for watching! It’s really lovely to be able to make jeans exactly the way you want isn’t it 😉 I think this is the denim I used www.rainbowfabrics.co.uk/products/jean-blue-denim. I can’t be fully sure I’m afraid! The one that I used would certainly have good enough stretch for pull on jeans! Wishing you the best of luck with your jeans adventure !!
I love your jumpsuit! Why dont you made your jeans to your natural waist. Better proportion and more comfort. I stopped years ago wearing the low rise .
Hi Marleen! Thanks! I love how that jumpsuit worked out. I’ve never liked high waisted jeans. I don’t like how they look on me and find them uncomfortable, so I’m really happy to be able to make them just how I like to wear them now … the beauty of sewing! Thanks for watching!

Wow you have been productive!!! Love your Halloween plans too x
Thanks Clare!! It’s been a busy week in the sewing room. Boys hoodies are almost done and now I really want one too 😂
Rachael, good save on your drawstring. I, too, mucked up a jumpsuit drawstring last summer. It also has a sewn-on bow.😂 X
Hi Diane! Oh I’m glad it’s not just me so 😂😂 it’s amazing what a bow can hide 😉
