  • I was finally able to get some step up soul grinds! Super excited about getting a few decent grinds on both the ledge and rail. Now I have to get the jump going, that's tough on my bad knee, but I am working on it. I took a lot of falls working on these, but felt OK at the park and the day after, so that made me happy. Maybe the worst is over on my MCL injury.

Thank you! Keep it up and go at your own pace. Progress is slower as you get older, but the thrill is just as good!

Wow, you're such an inspiration. I just started rollerblading at 34 and I'm loving it. (Did some as a kid but didn't stick with it)
Recently had a bad fall where I hurt my hand (despite wearing wrist guards) by twisting my thumb, so I've been off skates for like 4 days and it's miserable already, I'm itching to get back on!
    Much respect from Denmark :)

Thank you! I hate you got injured, I know how hard it is to take time off. Hope your thumb heals quickly and you can get back out skating soon and enjoy your long days in Denmark!

The Triple 8 covert knee pads work really well under hard knee pads and they are pretty cheap.

I will check them out, thanks! My son wears my soft motorcycle kneepads under his pants, but I want to be able to slide when I fall and the hard ones are the only thing that will do that.

Nice. some improvement. Do you think you'll try jumping on soon? I've got to get out today and do some ledge stuff

The jumping is really hard but I am working on it on my newly rebuilt P-rail. That knee is just really painful in either position, boned over when in back or twisted when in front, and I have to figure out how to deal with that. I am doing static position work every day to try and strengthen and get mobility for the grinds. Hopefully I will be able to get some jumps soon.

I’m injured and I’d planned to skate all bank holiday 😔 I was on my quad skates and put my foot down at the bottom of a step and my skates went straight from under me and I fell on my Coccyx bone 😩 I’ve never felt pain like it. I did have impact shorts on.

Oh no!! I hate to hear that, I know that is a painful injury and especially hard when you weren't doing anything difficult when it happened. Hopefully the impact shorts helped out some. I am wishing you a speedy and full recovery!!

@@theaverageoldguyThank you 🙏I’ve been at work today and moving around a lot has definitely helped. It feels a lot better than it did. I can’t wait to get back on my skates

@@MixinMum1210 Glad to hear you are feeling better! Take some time to heal up and don't rush back. I know from experience that never ends well😁
