Hi, Thanks for watching and reaching out! I am not anti-mods or against adding accessories! I however want to only make changes that improve my experience, convenience or the life of "The Ibex" 😊. Use that filter and the tail lights are just fine and look good too! why do we need to change to some fancy lights costing 15K and you are not even going to be looking at them 😁. Tyres i have already said give a sweet ride, i saw a video yesterday where they have changed the Tyres to 235/70/r15 and now complaining about vibration and rough handing but in the same breath said but they look great, i rest my case! I am going to change cabin lights to LED, put the wire protectors as you rightly called out, add cubby holes in the handles, floor tray around the gear shift and even the arm rests but i will wait until this rage and race for Mods & accessories cools down and the prices become reasonable - e.g. the wire protectors are 1500-2000 for those 2 bits of plastic - and similarly arm rest is 5K plus ...i am in no hurry, everyone is out to milk this madness and make a fast buck, i will wait! Decals don't know haven't found any that i liked may be customize some... roof carrier if i need it i will, but given my use and current family scenario don't see it happening any time soon. Well said sir!! Only after the run in period with conditional drive anything could be disclosed and discussed. I will wait for ua wonderful review of the IBEX. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Sir. You are superb. Your videos are really very informative and truly a delight to watch. How do you find Jimny automatic driving in terms of comfort level. My wife drives an Honda Brio automatic for short distance travels within city. She learnt driving on this Honda Brio and only know how to drive an automatic. Will it be easy for her to switch to Jimny automatic. In this case, I can look at making it my second car (occasional family trips, mostly driven by my wife)
Thank you for your compliments, sir, truly appreciate it! Jimny automatic is a just brilliant, I am loving driving it! If your wife is already driving a Brio Automatic, i don't see any problem in her switching to the Jimny seamlessly, go for it! which car do you drive incidentally? Cheers👍
@@handsonwithbabbar Thanks. I have Suzuki Brezza Diesel which has run 6 years already. I also don't drive much so don't really gain from fuel efficiency of a diesel car. The current resale price is good so I was thinking of replacing it with a new petrol vehicle. However, it is depreciating fast and If I sell it after 3 years, I will get a much lower resale price (or it will go in scrap). I booked a Jimny automatic 4 months back and am now thinking of either replacing it with my Honda Brio Petrol (10 years old) or replacing it with Brezza diesel (6 Yrs+ old). Another option is to replace Brezza with a Petrol Honda Elevate/Kushaq/Kia facelist/Creta facelift etc.

I have actually been used to driving the Octavia VRS so I think I saw ur video just at the nick of time and have decided to follow your running in tips to the dot. Initially the adrenalin rush used to play its role but I decided it’s time to calm down so it’s NO above 3000rpm😀 Sir a query….the micro hybrid seems to restart automatically at the infamous signal’s of Bangalore when AC is on…is this a feature or an alarm? Don’t know if others have come across the situation. The other issue is having to down the windows frequently to answer curious people at signals😂😂😂
I am glad you found the video in time 😊, congrats on your new ride! Yes the micro hybrid, though useless, is smart tech, when it sees the battery getting strained on auto off, it will start the car even if you are still stationary, to preserve the battery charge / power. My problem is that it cuts off very soon even on short braking stops! I am sure you are thoroughly enjoying your last problem of having to answer Jimny questions from other road users 😃, enjoy!
Hi, can you please make a video on different speeds and rpm in 4th gear?? In 80kph speed in 4th gear whats the engine rpm and in 100kph in 4th gear what's the engine rpm?? I do lot of highway driving and this information would help me a lot as I drive almost 35k kms per year, further more is it e20 petrol compatible??.... Thanks a lot in advance
Thanks a lot for your engagement. This car is e20 petrol compatible. For your other request at different RPM speeds, mine is an automatic so i can't really determine exactly which gear is engaged when! Also, there are videos out there that cover the info you need in a manual transmission set-up...hope that helps, cheers 👍
Thanks for the dedicated video and picking up on these crucial points that have been missed by other vloggers. Also are you planning any mods? If yes, what would they're gonna be?
Very positively explained everything! Will definitely follow you for Jimny updates! Do let me know about it's highway cruising manners & overtaking at legal speeds.
Thank you so much for your kind words - knowledge grows by sharing is my belief, just doing my two bits through this wonderful platform of YT. More coming soon, i promise 😊
Nice one ! MSL certainly could have equipped the 5 door with a 47-50 litre fuel tank. Just some cheeky cost cutting….in what is certainly not a budget peoples car.
Thank you! The tank is a good size at 40 Liters, i feel. On a mileage of 14 kpl average (on the safe side, the co. claims much more) that is a 550 plus km range on a tankful, it's like refueling it only once between Delhi and Ahmedabad, it's quite good i think plus the greatest advantage of this car is that it's a light & narrow 4X4 - it can do all those things that its bulkier friends cannot and for that they have optimized a lot of things but it's this package Jimny that we like 😊. Just my two bits, cheers👍
Just that its not really required - you tell me who will you trust? The company that has invested millions of dollars on engineering and designing a solid product and chosen its tyres carefully and tested them for thousands of Kms or a local tyre or modification shop that is pushing its products and services on a car they have no experience with, since it's just been launched!!! They are just experimenting AT YOUR COST - some of it will work and most will not - i rest my case.
@@handsonwithbabbar agreed but at the same time all terrain (AT) tyre is recommended for a proper off roading vehicle of Jimny's stature . what do you say as an experienced and avid off road lover ?
@prosenjitbanerjee9634 go for the AT tires. No harm until you upsize in limited manner. Off road vehicles are designed and built with higher FOS (Factor of Safety)
@@mt_0712 i know 2-3 % upsizing of tyres are fine but i never mentioned about upsizing, i just mentioned about AT tires which is required for better off roading instead of factory fitted HT tyres that we are getting here in Kolkata as stock tyres
@prosenjitbanerjee9634 I don't see any harm there using AT tires. Just you won't get mileage and highway stability at high speed (no one can complain since it is off road special). As tread pattern, weight changes.
Loved the feedbacks..One question from my side . Do you reccommend upgrade to AT tyres for taking this car in snow conditions like winter spiti ? yes or no both with their justifications please.. Also will upgrading to 215 or 225 give a better feel instead of the 195?. Thanks in advance
Thank you so much, let's see how this IBEX journey pans out, will certainly be doing some exciting stuff with it in the future - great suggestion, appreciate it 😊
What you say is partially correct but new age engines are perfectly machined to exacting standards…don’t require a lot of running in 😊 could not resist to try out my brand new Jimny on an empty stretch of land just after delivery…it shows a fuel average of 8 kmpl
There are all schools of thought on the running in bit! However I am aware that even high precision German cars recommend a running in of 1500 kms… it’s great that you are enjoying your Jim, cheers and good luck!
You sir, are a gem 💎 God bless you 🙏 please continue sharing the awesome content that is such a breath of freshness among the masses of charlatans reviewing Jimnies on RUclips ❤
Dear Sir, thank you so much for your very generous comments, really appreciate it! 😊 I will try my best to live up to this reputation, keep watching, cheers 👍
Sir, please see the video again, my advice to you is that take driving lessons from a proper driving school, in their car and if you have a Maruti Suzuki Driving School near you, that is the best! They have customized driving programs for various levels of proficiency depending on your skill. In short, please learn driving on some older car, not your new Jimny in your best interest. All the best 👍
Define deep, but short answer not very deep as the Jimny doesn't have the snorkel setup as standard, but you should see some of the Jimny river crossing videos on YT, it does well! There is an inbuilt provision for fitting an after-market snorkel if one wants, Cheers 👍
I am assuming you have the Alpha as the Zeta does not have DRLs. In the Alpha, its with the headlight stalk switch on the steering wheel, the Positions are OFF > AUTO > DRLs > HEADLIGHTS. Hope that helps, cheers 👍

Hi my question is that I do potholes of gurugram but no serious off road and will prob never use the 4x4. I do highways and a bit of mountains. I drive a Creta presently. Should I buy this as per my driving profile?
This car loves to eat potholes and savors them too😊. based on the info you have shared, i am tempted to say that this car fits your profile, but you do need to consider other relevant things in your life and take an informed decision - like daily driving distance, your current car is a petrol or a diesel and the age of that car - are you replacing it or adding this one to your fleet, your family size etc. etc. Hope that helps, cheers 👍
@@handsonwithbabbar Thanks for the prompt reply sir! I love the Jimny, its size fits my family size etc. The concern was that i would prob never do the 4x4 so was wondering if i should change my petrol creta with this because it seems overdesigned for me. Annd also is Jimny a steady everyday drive?
Excellent practical video. What is the weight bearing capacity of the Jimny, as we carry a lot of stuff while on vacation and we also have plan for camping. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) and if you can tell me the torque multification in 4 Low. Looking forward for the off roading reviews where we can see how BLD works and how much it is useful in tricky situations.
Thank you so much for your comments and engagement on the video, really appreciate it! The recommended weight bearing capacity of a non-modified Jimny is between 335-350 kgs, I reckon with a 5-7% safe tolerance. - you can do the maths as per your family and see how much extra can you carry? I don't know the torque multiplication at 4L, however you can see multiple videos of the Jimny BLD in action from the MS launch event at Dehradun and much more, it works and works well too! Wish you good luck with your family adventures, keep watching. Cheers! 😊
@@handsonwithbabbar Thank you so much. From a practical point of view 4 adults with normal to moderate build is 300 Kgs (75Kg each) and then with ovelanding setup it will cross the 350 limit. But I still feel that engaging 4 wd low need lot of effort. Can u tell me what precautions I should take for engaging and disengaging 4wd low
HIDDEN POWER OF JIMNY'S AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION | 4-SPEED MANUAL DUTY! | AUTOMATIC TIPS & TRICKS ruclips.net/video/7sf7l9aezdY/видео.html Please watch this video, all your answers are here. Yes you needn’t press the level for disengaging low however it needs to be pressed down to engage 4L. Engaging 4L will be a lil more effort than engaging 4H it is supposed to be like that, that is why it’s required to be pressed to engage so that it does not engage unintentionally when you are trying to engage 4H. Sometimes there is resistance if the pre-conditions explained in the video are not met fully, however you will get used to it after a few times. Good luck 👍🏻
@@handsonwithbabbar the problem iam facing is that I need to apply lot of force to disingage 4 L to 4 H /2H. By force I mean I have to use both my hands and really push hard. I keep the gear leaver at N while doing this. What could be the reason. Should I be worried?
Dipak bhai, i am not planning on upgrading currently and feel it's not required currently - the stock tyres are very capable but if you must, then I have heard that the 215/75/R15 is the best fit without any modifications. All the best.
Hey, the best way to find out is go to the nearest Nexa showroom and sit in a display car. My guess is, you will be fine but you must take a test drive and find out yourself. I am around 5'10" if that helps!
I am 6'3'', on the leaner side, was absolutely comfortable sitting in the Jimny will ample headroom. The seat height adjust does help and Suzuki has done a brilliant packaging.
@@carcrazyraj my body frame is a bit big. But still I will give a shot, Because global product, and reliable. But the water wading is a let down. Don't know how much will snorkel help.
Thank you so much for your compliments! You are right, some car companies' run-in their engines in the factory but definitely not all, so we don't know which ones especially with car companies now dealing with 10-12 months of waiting periods on their cars, i will not be surprised if this is one step they are truncating or eliminating completely esp. becoz it costs them time and money!! Secondly, the engines are run-in independently at the factory, that is without any load attached to them, you will agree that no car manufacturer is running in cars for 2-3000 Kms after they are assembled - that's an additional expense for them! Therefore, since the engine is now hitched to the car, it is carrying 2-4 times its own weight and therefore it needs to be run-in in the car and is critical!! Hope that helps! Cheers!👍
Hi thanks for doing these vids, your fuel economy is about on par for a jimny, the offical tests for fuel economy is just a bull crap lab test that no vechicle will make, but it is useful for comparing between different vechicles.

Hope that helps, cheers 👍
@@handsonwithbabbar thanks for your prompt response. I agree to your arguments. Agree about waiting the current mania surrounding the accessory for this car.

Looks like you should keep the Brio and replace the Brezza with Jimny 😊. You are the boss...

Glad you enjoyed it, really appreciate your feedback 👍
I have actually been used to driving the Octavia VRS so I think I saw ur video just at the nick of time and have decided to follow your running in tips to the dot. Initially the adrenalin rush used to play its role but I decided it’s time to calm down so it’s NO above 3000rpm😀
Sir a query….the micro hybrid seems to restart automatically at the infamous signal’s of Bangalore when AC is on…is this a feature or an alarm?

Thank you for your kind comments, appreciate it! Not planning any mods...i like it stock, as i feel, that is the true spirit of any car 😊
Very positively explained everything! Will definitely follow you for Jimny updates! Do let me know about it's highway cruising manners & overtaking at legal speeds.
Thank you for your encouragement, your subscription means a lot! Will do an update as soon as i can 👍. Cheers.

Great work, loved your videos! KEEP AT IT!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate your feedback and encouragement 😊.
The fuel tank capacity most certainly not a deal breaker. Many thanks for your reply.
what can you say sir about those fellow Jimny's who upgraded their tires into wider and bulky ones?
Frankly and honest review
Thanks brother, appreciate it 👍
Loved the feedbacks..One question from my side . Do you reccommend upgrade to AT tyres for taking this car in snow conditions like winter spiti ? yes or no both with their justifications please.. Also will upgrading to 215 or 225 give a better feel instead of the 195?. Thanks in advance
Great explanation sir 👏🏻
Hoping to see touring or camping reviews if possible.

Sir any plans of tyre change in future after break in period
I don't think I will till i have seen what all it can do on the stock tyres...Will keep you posted through the videos. Cheers 👍

What care we should taken If i learn car driving with jimny car.
One question. Can we take the Jimny in deep water?
Define deep, but short answer not very deep as the Jimny doesn't have the snorkel setup as standard, but you should see some of the Jimny river crossing videos on YT, it does well! There is an inbuilt provision for fitting an after-market snorkel if one wants, Cheers 👍
Sir, kindly help me know how to turn on the DRLs on Jimny??

Jimny is a brilliant every day car as well, compact yet competent! Cheers 🍻
Is it documented anywhere, can you please provide any link which states so. I am about to finalize the vehicle.

Please watch this video, all your answers are here.
Having to use both hands seems excessive, get it checked at your next service.

Hey, the best way to find out is go to the nearest Nexa showroom and sit in a display car. My guess is, you will be fine but you must take a test drive and find out yourself. I am around 5'10" if that helps!

VERY GOOD VIDEO.. HOWEVER RUNNING IN FOR MODERN CARS IS NOT REQUIRED. ENGINES HAVE BEEN RUN IN THE FACTORY.

Dear Sir, you are a bit rude. I had a new car some 6 years ago. I live in a hilly region. When new, the mileage was much lower, the engine felt tight and even hesitated at times during hard revving. After proper running in for a few thousand Kms, the engine loosened up, felt freer and mileage also increased significantly.
