    Thank you, Robert. Been using your recall videos from three years ago to teach my Lab pup. She's doing well for a 10 week old. It's been two weeks since we got her, and already I can see her working things out in her tiny head. A wonder to see. Thank you again.

    Good video! Enjoy your channel. I also watched your interview today with Mike Ritland and thoroughly enjoyed it! Very refreshing to see your interview with Mike. He was a guest on my show back in 2013, after his 60 minutes interview and I find him incredibly interesting and straight forward which I totally dig. Especially his Warrior Dog Foundation helping K9's that are retired. And of course, I appreciate you being interesting and straight up as well. I totally dig it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge @Robert Cabral. Peace! Sheri The Organic Pet Lady

    I need help with puppy socialization. Our German Shepherd. She missed out on puppy social for the first 7 months due to the virus. We have another dog that she has been with but are finding that she has problems when she sees other outside dogs. Any suggestions on how to help her with this.

    • @CUniqueTheOneAndOnly
      @CUniqueTheOneAndOnly 3 года назад

      German Shepherds are a healthy size. I frankly would wear a mask and been allowing her to be more social under Mr. Cabrals parameters.
      I was going to get a Rottweiler pup, that fell through unfortunately. But I was going to pay the groomer and dog walker to pet and introduce themselves pretty much. Not much contact needed for that.
      Maybe this idea will help anyone who's recently gotten a puppy or plans to. :)

      Keep him on a leash( longer one) and distract him back to you when he reaches the end if the leash. Treat him when he arrives.

      @@AHHHHHH107 I wouldn't recommend a Golden Retriever for a first time dog owner. Too much to deal with. Besides...unless you know this person no one can really recommend a breed without knowing a lot of things about that person as I mention in my following comment.

      @@oyindamolaoyinlola3272 A lot goes into making a decision on becoming a dog owner. What kind of lifestyle do you have? How much time do you have to spend with your dog? Do you live in a house or an apartment setting? How physically fit are you? How is your health? How long have you studied on how to care for and recognize when a dog is sick? Do you have extra income to cover training, vet bills, grooming, insurance, proper foods, toys and other items necessary to keep your dog happy and healthy? Are there restrictions on breeds or weight limits where you live? Do you have a mentor to help you as you embark upon dog ownership? I would recommend reading a lot of books, meeting good trainers-such as Robert--join his membership and learn as much as you can before getting a dog. Remember, your dog purchase is a lifetime commitment!
      I would recommend getting a smaller breed dog from a responsible breeder who health tests their dogs, (not a backyard breeder who is selling puppies for a couple hundred dollars) and has time to mentor you along with a great trainer like Robert. It's hard to find good trainers that don't take advantage of new folks to dog ownership. Hope that this helps!
