The real-world project not only made the explanation about AI understandable, but also gave a good idea about the nature of data scientist role in industry projects. Like the problem statement being too open-ended, resolving the ambiguity step-by-step through regular meetings and final report to the stakeholders. I have my on-campus internship hiring drive starting this month. This video proved to be really helpful. Thanks!!
Idiots in the comment section saying it wont replace humans ....saying it will increase productivity.....listen up....if it increases productivity....that means less people will be required to do more work .....result job losses....true AI will not replace experts as in each field they will guide the AI ....but most workers in each field are low or mid expertise so they will be replaced!!
But maybe if It improve porductivity i would mean that more work might be done and also porductivity my be increase in one sector of the job of data scientist but not in all the job
As an outsider (non data background) this video just shows that if no data scientists existed no one else would be able to those projects. Honestly even if AI is able to answer so many questions and write code and so on, non data people wouldn’t know what to ask let alone interpret code. Most people outside of tech and data don’t even know what python is! I might be wrong but to me if anything this AI hype gave everyone a reason to post click bate videos
I'm a full-stack software developer. I was pretty excited about CoPilot and Tabnine in my IDE but after using it for several months I decided to cancel. The AI was right only about 50% of the time. Now when I need help I use Phind in a browser. It still isn't perfect but it doesn't intrude on my code editing like the others did. IMO from what I know I wouldn't worry about AI taking over your job. If anything it will be your assistant.

That's awesome, I was kinda scared to learn data science because of this issue, I appreciate you explaining your point as an experience data scientist :)
Where just brain and decision is involved, it can surely be replaced by AI, wjere trust, assurance, emotion and handy service is required... It wont be replaced AI.
What the upcoming AI will do it will basically just automate the work fast which mean the company will not be recruit that much engineers as of now which will rise to unemployment directly without even laying off.
AI has been here for literally 6 months and much longer in general... AI is not meant to replace creativity but to assist the creative process. AI is a tool that you can use to deferente yourself from other colleagues. You should always ask yourself how can I do this better, so more than one prompt. To go behind boilerplate code. Will it always work? No. There are a lot of biased, outdated stuff, but that's where coding skills come in in short AI is a tool to assist you and anyone who said otherwise never have written a single line of robust code before.
Dude, you're basing this answer based on GPT-3 and 4, wait till it reaches 5 or 6. 4 already has shown to have the accuracy rate on par with a Junior software developer. Think about it.

Don't worry. Everywhere there is insecurity and threats to different fields as new technology is emerging data by day. We should be a good learner and always keep learning so that we can prove ourselves to be an asset to our organisation.
It won't replace data scientists.. It will make them more productive. Helps in coding but decisions can't be taken without proper understanding of the problem.
Thank you for this example. In my understanding AI finds new patterns in the data that only AI can see because these patterns are so complex. In other words, it asks (quickly) new questions humans can’t think about because our brains are limited. It’s like a footrace against a car.
I read many people saying that the data engineer will be the easiest one to be replaced, in my opinion this is not true. If you mean by data engineer a data entry position, yes, it is easily replaceable, not only from AI. But honestly, I don't know how AI, SO FAR, can create a database from 0 by fully understanding clients' requirements, sometimes it is difficult for humans too 😅. Generally speaking, I think that back-end jobs could be replaced firstly by AI, this is the case of IBM, where new backend hirings have been stopped. On the other hand, jobs that need a constant communication with clients will be more difficult to be replaced in my opinion.
Please make a video on if it can affect data analysts jobs as well? I am currently doing a data analyst course. Please please please please answer this.

When AI gets implemented DA roles will get gradually absorbed into DS position resulting in job growth in DS. DA roles will decline and eventually be practically eliminated like book keeper clerks and bank tellers as these roles are absorbed into accounting and bank associates respectively. DS will have job growth actually due to DA roles being phased out. Data Scientists won't be replaced by AI even if AI can do the job because like doctors, lawyers, pilots, engineers, these are all positions that need human authority. The AI work needs the human stamp of approve by the public or stakeholders in the data scientist case. But DA is going to be replaced. All DAs should transition to DS. And this is what will have happen in my analysis when AI gets implemented.
